Ubiquitous learning, also known as U-learning, refers to the learner’s ability to learn at any place at any time. This paper argues that U-learning represents a new perspective in terms of pedagogy. The main contributor to this process is foremost the teacher, who has to adhere to the ever-changing language learning/teaching scenery. This study aims at setting the fundamentals of materials development at the intersection of two major areas of contemporary education, namely the needs of the ‘net generation’ students and the educational potential of the evolving social web and digital technology. It seeks to answer the following questions: What is digital technology and how does it lead to U-learning? What is web 2.0 and how does it affect classroom pedagogy, practice, and the design of quality teaching/learning materials? How does it help teachers improve their practice and materials development procedures? And how can teachers transform today’s innovative technology into ubiquitous learning experiences, promoting learner autonomy, regardless of any geographical or institutional boundaries? We will illustrate the whole procedure with a framework for web 2.0 integration that identifies the crucial features underpinning the extramural, ubiquitous learning experiences, in which learners can engage.

In most developed countries university students use digital technologies and the Internet in all facets of their daily life. These students represent the first generation to grow up with this new technology and have been given various names that emphasize its affinity and tendency to use digital technology such as digital natives, Net generation and Millennials. Given the lack of empirical support for the notion of a “digital generation”, this study presents a different perspective of what these learners think about their use of digital technologies for academic and social purposes and how they feel about the “Digital Native Generation” phenomenon. This study examines this issue in depth to gain an understanding of what the growing use of new digital technologies means for teaching and learning in higher education.

New digital and web-based technologies are spurring rapid and radical changes across all media industries. These newer models take advantage of the infinite reproducibility of digital media at zero marginal cost. There is an argument to be made that the sort of changes we have seen in other industries will be forced upon higher education, either as the result of external economic factors (the need to be more efficient, responsive, etc.) or by a need to stay relevant to the so-called "net generation" of students (Prensky, 2001; Oblinger & Oblinger, 2005; Tapscott & Williams, 2010).This article discusses the impact of digital technologies on each of Boyer’s dimensions of scholarship: discovery, integration,  application and teaching. In each case the use of new technologies brings with it the possibility of new, more open ways of working, although this is not inevitable. The implications of the adoption of new technologies on scholarship are then discussed. Keywords: internet; digital technology; technology in education; social media;  higher education; Web 2.0

Millennial are considered as a generation that could integrate with technology better than previous generation. The presence of technology is something that can’t be removed in this generation. They live a life which always have been connected with technology, and also entitled as net generation that has the ability to be connected with various worlds. With today’s advancement, presence of technology in millennial generation affect workshop machinery with digital technology. The formed program is expected to be able to answer the characteristics of the millennial generation in the digital technology sector by providing workshops with education and training space for start-ups. The designed space system consists of several programs combined based on analysis of Millennial generation needs and workspace typology analysis. The choice of location is chosen based on several criteria; based on the location of the city center, close to many presences of the millennial, and located in where public transportation is easily accessible. The design created will have the concept of a digitally made product, so that it attracts visitors. The rental system is applied in buildings based on the following spaces with supporting facilities. Placement and orientation will be adjusted according to the results of the site analysis, and to create an environmentally friendly building, the ground floor building will be half open and greenery concept around the site.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to provide clinical supervisors with information pertaining to state-of-the-art clinic observation technology. We use a novel video-capture technology, the Landro Play Analyzer, to supervise clinical sessions as well as to train students to improve their clinical skills. We can observe four clinical sessions simultaneously from a central observation center. In addition, speech samples can be analyzed in real-time; saved on a CD, DVD, or flash/jump drive; viewed in slow motion; paused; and analyzed with Microsoft Excel. Procedures for applying the technology for clinical training and supervision will be discussed.
