Gaining English language learning effectively has been discussed all years long. Similarly, Learners have various troubles outcomes in the learning process. Creating a joyful and comfortable situation must be considered by learners. Thus, the implementation of effective learning strategies is certainly necessary for English learners. This descriptive study has two purposes: first, to introduce the classification and characterization of learning strategies such as; memory, cognitive, metacognitive, compensation, social, and affective strategies that are used by learners in the classroom and second, it provides some questionnaires item based on Strategy of Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) version 5.0 that can be used to examine the frequency of students’ learning strategies in the learning process. The summary of this study explains and discusses the researchers’ point of view on the impact of learning outcomes by learning strategies used. Finally, utilizing appropriate learning strategies are certainly beneficial for both teachers and learners to achieve the learning target effectively.

ABSTRACT This response to the recent contribution by Matthews (2019) entitled “The Past, Present, and Future of Accounting History” specifically deals with the issues associated with concentrating on counting publication numbers in examining the state of a scholarly research field at the start of the 2020s. It outlines several pitfalls with the narrowly focused publications count analysis, in selected English language journals only, as provided by Matthews. The commentary is based on three key arguments: (1) accounting history research and publication is far more than a “numbers game”; (2) trends in the quality of the research undertaken and published are paramount; and (3) international publication and accumulated knowledge in accounting history are indeed more than a collection of English language publications. The author seeks to contribute to discussion and debate between accounting historians and other researchers for the benefit and development of the international accounting history community and global society.

BACKGROUND Interactive mobile technologies (IMB) are viewed as a promising opportunity to provide support in treatment for patients’ with eating disorders. The authors analyzed papers to find out the patterns of research domains in cognitive-behavioral therapy using interactive mobile technologies and eating disorder treatments. The development of interactive mobile technologies in eating disorder treatments was enhanced significantly during the last decade. Therefore this emerging research field has been found interesting and attractive to keep it in the research agenda. Consequently, the author planned various research settings for current and further studies. OBJECTIVE This research aims to explore the scientific patterns of interactive mobile technologies for cognitive-behavioral treatment for individuals with eating disorders in scholarly publications and analyze the findings to suggest further studies in an emerging research field. METHODS The bibliometric analysis employed such as identifying publication patterns, most important keywords, and trends for the subjects and fields for the period of the last decade (2010 to 2021). In this study, research questions were formed based on the relevant literature. The author concentrated on highly ranked sources, the data retrieved from the known databases, and the study conducted with the proven bibliometric approach, RESULTS A total of 875 studies were found concerning the research domains and retrieved from the LENS database. The vast majority of the papers were written in the English language by 100 authors/co-authors from 70 different countries, leading with the United Kingdom, then followed by the USA, Australia, Spain, Germany and Sweden. Descriptive characteristics The vast majority of the papers were written in the English language by 100 authors/co-authors from 70 different countries, leading with the United Kingdom, then followed by the USA, Australia, Spain, Germany and Sweden. CONCLUSIONS The research revealed that, although the early years of publication record shown as low, recent years (from 2016) represent an overall increase in research domains. The main contribution of the findings indicates that IBM, in combination with in-person cognitive-behavioral therapy for eating disorders, increases the efficiency of health intervention, including reducing essential symptoms and improving life quality. Besides, IBM can be used as a supportive tool in managing diet, body dissatisfaction, stress, and sleep disturbance. This paper would be useful for researchers to obtain an overview of the publication trends on research domains to be concerned for further studies and shows the potential gaps in those fields. Laboratory testing on the confirmation of COVID-19 results is an essential component and without the expertise of trained laboratory technicians this is not possible. The aim of this study was to review the impacts of COVID-19 on medical laboratory staff. The literature search was done using Medline, Embase, Scopus, and Proquest databases, and relevant keywords were applied to find studies which have been conducted in the field of Medical Laboratory Science specifically looking at the impacts on staff caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. All the studies pertaining to the topic published in 2020 and 2021 in English language were reviewed and the main themes were identified. The results showed that impacts of COVID-19 were felt by the staff, as they were pushed to their limits causing stress and burnout. Apart from this laboratory staff were faced with issues such as; shortage in terms of human resources, consumables, testing kits and reagents. This was an added factor to delays in testing and disruption to the testing Turnaround time (TATs) and also contributed to the stress and burnout of staff. Laboratory professionals and other health care staffs were pushed to the limits to ensure patient care was not affected and each patient was attended too without delay. Laboratory personnel’s were pushed to their limits to ensure that test results were given on time.

Students' difficulty in understanding English language as a subject usually leads to poor learning outcomes. The problem is, however, observed to be getting worse due to the unavailability of suitable learning media for educators and students. This research was, therefore, conducted to develop an English for Beginner pocketbook media to improve student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, pocketbook media is an alternative packaging of information through the use of user efficiency elements. This research was developed based on the Borg & Gall model with the data collected using questionnaires, tests, and documentation and analyzed through Independent Sample T-test. The results showed the sig. (2-tailed) < sig. level (0,000 < 0.05), therefore, Ha was accepted while H0 was rejected. It was discovered that average students learning outcomes increased to 83,4 and learning completeness by 83.33% after receiving the treatment in the form of the English for Beginner pocketbook media. This shows this material is feasible to be implemented as a learning medium due to its effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of MI Masaran 1 Trenggalek.

This paper tries to explore that, Action Research is a supplementary source for English Language Teachers to bring out better teaching outcome of the teachers and better learning outcomes of the students. In the current scenario, apart from the syllabus, English Language teachers expect a supplementary source to follow a new strategy in order to satisfy the expectations of the students inside the classroom. They face many challenges in the classroom and one of the important problems is to draw continuous involvement of the students as well as to create good understanding of the subject in the classroom. In this connection, Action Research helps the teachers to explore effective teaching strategy in the classroom. This Action Research is integrated with a new approach called MUSE (Manageable, Urgent, Significant and Engaging), that helps the teachers to plan effectively. Besides, it is an exploratory or activity based classroom research and so it encourages the students to learn effectively and understand clearly with more involvement in the classroom. This study suggests a need for the supplementary source and it also focuses on Action Research to aid the teachers.
