Abstract Background The external academic accreditation is a quality assurance and auditing process that focuses on the structure, process, and outcome of the education. It is an interrupting and highly demanding process in terms of effort, time, financial, and human resources. However, it is unclear in the literature how much of these external quality assurance practices impeded in the accreditation processes would reflect on the other end of the learning pathway, including student satisfaction. Methods A retrospective quantitative secondary data analysis, with a before-after comparison research design, was performed to evaluate external accreditation’s impact on students’ mean satisfaction score within two accreditation cycles at King Saud University (KSU)-Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. Results The overall average students’ satisfaction scores pre-and-post the first accreditation cycle were 3.46/5 (±0.35), 3.71 (±0.39), respectively, with a P-value of < 0.001. The effect of post first accreditation cycle was sustainable for a couple of years, then maintained above the baseline of the pre-first accreditation cycle until the pre-second accreditation cycle. Similarly, the overall average students’ satisfaction scores pre-and-post the second accreditation cycles were 3.57/5 (±0.30) and 3.70 (±0.34), respectively, with a P-value of 0.04. Compared to the first accreditation cycle, the improvement of the mean score of students’ satisfaction rates was not sustained beyond the year corresponding to the post-second accreditation cycle. Conclusion Both accreditation cycles were associated with an increased score in students’ satisfaction. The preparatory phase activities and navigation through the self-study assessment while challenging the program’s competencies are essential triggers for quality improvement practices associated with accreditation.

This article describes the development of an instrument for examining schools as institutions where teaching practices and school structures provide opportunities and support for student imagination, creativity, and innovation, as well as initial comparisons using the instrument, using a sample of n = 5020 students and n = 268 teachers ( n = 161 classes of students nested within teachers). The three five-item subscales show acceptable reliability across groups (.73–.90). Paired sample t tests indicate that, on average, students reported significantly more opportunities for creativity as compared to imagination or innovation. There were also significant differences between actual student reports and teachers’ predictions only for creativity and innovation. Students reported more opportunities for creativity and innovation than their teachers predicted. However, students reported significantly less opportunity for imagination, creativity, and innovation than their teachers’ ideals. Implications for subsequent research and practice are also discussed.

In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government implemented a distance learning system for students at all levels of education. This has an impact on various changes in learning methods, including for the subjects of Physical Education, Sports, and Health. The importance of learning sports during the pandemic is the right of every student, including students with special needs. In fact, children who need special services are often excluded from teaching and learning activities in physical education. So adaptive physical education is needed so that it can serve the learning needs of blind students and lead students to achieve excellent health. To overcome the persistence of the above problem, the authors implemented an adaptive physical education program aimed at blind students at Junior High School Modern Islamic School (SMP MIS) Surakarta. The main program is train students to do an adaptive rhythmic gymnastics. This program consisting of Ayo Pahami (Lets Understand), Ayo Praktikkan (Lets Practice), and Ayo Lanjutkan (Lets Continue) which are carried out online through the WhatsApp Group. In general, this program implementation activities can run well. This is evidenced by the results of written test and also performance test. Quantitatively, the average students score is 60 while the average teachers score is 84 for the written test, and the average students score for performance test is 71,2 which is considered as skilled. Qualitatively, all students understand and can memorize the whole movements of the rhythmic gymnastics. Habituation and parental/teacher guidance is needed to boost students’ ability in practicing the movements so that their motor skills can improve progressively. We also arrange ETAS organizational structure that aims to encourage students to continue their rhythmic gymnastics habits and is expected new extracurricular in the future.

We studied the intragroup structuring of student groups and the psychological security of the individual in the educational environment. Modern research on the problems of psychological security and status structuring is considered. A comparative analysis of the differences between the 1st, 3rd and 5th courses was carried out. Significant differences in intragroup structuring between the 1st year and 3rd year groups, the 3rd year and 5th year groups were revealed, which is associated with the level of development at which each of the studied groups is located. A comparative analysis of the assessment of the perception of security and satisfaction with the educational environment of the university among students of different status categories was also carried out. Significant differences in the assessment of psychological safety between the leaders of student groups, average students and outsiders were found. It is established that the average students are more satisfied with the characteristics of the educational environment than the leaders; Low-status students highly assess their satisfaction with the characteristics of the educational environment, but at the same time they feel less protected in the university environment. It was revealed that with an average level of satisfaction with the educational environment, high-status students feel more psychologically protected than low-status students. It is concluded that the status structuring of the student group can act as one of the indicators that affect the students ' assessment of psychological security at the university. To increase the safety of the educational environment of the university, it is necessary to conduct socio-psychological work in student groups aimed at improving the status of students, especially from among outsiders. The obtained data can be useful in building a system of educational work in the university.
