Sehingga, memunculkan kebutuhan atas pengembangan soal tes tertulis HOTS.

Technology is advancing every day and there is no stopping to it. It plays a vital role in our daily lives which includes in education field. The use of technology is massively implemented in classrooms as teaching strategies. Old teaching strategies such as visual aids are often improvised to match with the students’ interest. Teachers would usually find it difficult to teach students who are digital natives and demand a much more familiar and casual learning environment. It is also significant for teachers to equip the students with all 21st century skills in an ESL classroom. The students would prefer if the teachers could teach using any technological tools.  Infographics is one of the visual aids that integrates the use of technology. Online application such as Easel.ly can be used to strengthen teaching and learning sessions. Hence, this paper reviewed on the effectiveness of using infographics in developing 21st century skills in an ESL context.

This study investigates augmented reality (AR) applications on 21st-century skills and basic skills of elementary school students. The research method is determined as a mixed method. The sample group of the research consisted of 62 randomly selected elementary school 4th-grade students. In the experimental group, courses were taught using AR, and in the control group, the lessons were taught with activities included in the science class. In the research, the 21st-century learning and innovation scale and basic skills scale was used as a quantitative data collection tool, and semi-structured interview and researcher's journal were used as a qualitative data collection tool. According to the results, the study of science using augmented reality applications has positively affected the skills of elementary school 4th-grade students. The qualitative results of the research concluded that students' creativity and innovation, critical thinking, making inferences, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills developed. During the interviews with students and the classroom teacher, they stated that the AR application makes information more permanent by embodying the information in their minds. The lessons are fun and exciting; their interest in technology is increased and should be used in other lessons.

This study investigated the influence of social media on the sexual behaviour of youth in Kwara State. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. A total of 395 youth participated in the study. One research question was raised while three null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The instrument used for data collection for this study was a researcher-designed questionnaire entitled “Influence of Social Media Questionnaire” (ISMQ). The findings revealed that social media has considerable influence on the sexual behaviour of youth in Kwara State. Social media leads students to the act of sending erotic messages, watching pornographic films and movies, and also increases risky sexual behaviour such as masturbation. There were no significant differences in the influence of social media on sexual behaviour of youth in Kwara State based on gender, age and university attended. It was therefore recommended that counsellors should expose students to the danger inherent in negative uses of social media and analyze the possible result of proper usage of social media. Counsellors should also provide information specifically on the safe and respectful use of technology, as well as consequences of the negative use of social media to students of different genders, ages and universities attended.

To consider that some quality teaching-learning processes in the Higher Education is practically unthinkable without the use of technology, especially because of its impact in developing the necessary skills and abilities for the 21st century. (1) Background: One of the initial steps to successfully approach this challenge is to analyze how university professors consider that ICTs can contribute to developing skills and abilities in their students. In this regard, their perceptions are one of the factors that will limit the use they make of these tools. (2) Method: For this reason, a quantitative research has been designed in which 345 university professors have participated for different branches of knowledge of one Spanish university. (3) Results: Among the most relevant results, we can highlight that the professors recognize the potentials of the ICTs and consider they have a positive effect on learning and development of 21st century skills in their students. These benefits are seen in different fields like communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, among others. Likewise, the importance of the technology culture teaching role is outstanding. (4) Conclusions: Finally, the need for integration of ICTs in a pedagogical model in which professor training in digital skills acquires relevance is shown.

Rapid changes in the 21st century require students to have not only theoretical knowledge but also high order thinking skills and communicative skills. Arguing that problem-based learning can be a good alternative for improving 21st-century skills, the present study will elaborate on the characteristics, syntax, strengths, and challenges faced in implementing problem-based learning in the classroom. Library research was employed to choose the references for supporting the arguments. Relevant articles were chosen from reputable international journals through Google Scholar, limiting the publication's date from 2015 2020, with keywords related to problem-based learning and developing 21st -Century skills. The results reveal that the problems proposed in problem-based learning must be real-life-based and require problem-solving skills. The syntax of the implementation can be adjusted based on the needs of teachers and students. Although problem-based learning might be intricate, suitable strategies can be employed to obtain maximum benefits from this approach. In short, problem-based learning is an appropriate teaching approach to be implemented to meet the needs of the 21st century.
