<p><em>As the world enters a digital era, schools have progressed electronically in numerous ways. The purpose of this study aimed to discover how tech-savvy high school students in an international school in Thailand responded to the technological shift in the introduction of eTextbooks. Quantitative research design and descriptive analysis were utilized in data analysis. 179 high school students participated in an electronic semi-structured questionnaire with results indicating the majority of the students preferred a combination of both eTextbooks and print textbooks. Print textbooks were more beneficial for students’ learning, and students felt that print textbooks should not be replaced by eTextbooks. On the other hand, most of the students’ experiences with eTextbooks were negative. Aside from agreeing and disagreeing with stated reasons for using and not using eTextbooks, students freely expressed their personal viewpoints on eTextbook usage. The information obtained from this study is invaluable to schools as they plan on replacing print textbooks with eTextbooks.</em></p>

Volunteer tourism is a vital formation of altruistic and sustainable tourism. This research is aimed to empirically find the relative importance of the motivation factors and the motivation realization factors for young tourists participating in the global volunteer tourism programs. The differences in the study variables across continents, gender, and frequency of participation were also scrutinized. A quantitative research approach that utilized the survey method was employed. The outcomes showed that personal development was the most vital motivator for global volunteer tourism. On the other hand, the young tourists felt that they most realized the factor of a new experience through their recent international volunteer tourism experience. The motivation factors and the motivation realization factors were consistent across the continents. Furthermore, the mean differences in the motivations, the motivations’ realization, satisfaction, and the behavioral intentions were revealed to be non-significant for the genders and the frequency of volunteer participation. By grasping the young volunteer tourists’ motivations and the experience evaluations, the volunteer programs can be advanced in consonance with their necessities and demands, which enhance the volunteer tourism experience.

The absence of a single performance management system (PMS) aligned to institutional strategy and business processes often results in failure to deliver anticipated benefits as it is not cascaded down to all departments, teams or individuals. This study aims to determine employees’ expectations for the proposed PMS and their perceptions of the system’s impact on effectiveness within the university concerned. This study adopted a quantitative research design and a survey method was used, whereby, a structured questionnaire was administered by the researcher to a selected population size of 150 of which 108 completed questionnaires, generating a response rate of 72%. The study reflects a disproportionately high percentage of 34% of the respondents who disagreed and 21.3% who were undecided as to whether PMS is needed at the university concerned where the majority of these respondents being academics and those with matriculation. The university concerned should develop a PMS which is aligned to the university strategic plan and to other university policies coupled with structured change management interventions focusing on academics and semi-skilled employees.
