This research was aimed to find out (1) whether the use of e-portfolios is more effective than the use of e-dialogue journals, (2) whether the use of e-portfolios is more effective than the use of conventional assessments, (3) whether the use of e-dialogue journals is more effective than the use of conventional assessments, and (4) the most effective assessment of all in the teaching of writing skills. This study was a quasi-experimental research using Pretest-Post-test Control Group Design. The data were collected in January-February 2016 in SMK Penerbangan Adisucipto Ardhya Garini. The sample of the research was the students of class X3, X4, and X8 which were determined by using cluster simple random sampling. There were four hypotheses of this study and the research findings revealed that the hypotheses were accepted. It was indicated by all of the Sig values which were lower than the level of significance (0.05).

The demands of professional teachers to design technology-assisted learning that can facilitate all students to develop their potential. the fact that the quality of students' adaptive reasoning in solving math problems is still low which has an impact on other mathematical competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the improvement of adaptive reasoning abilities between students who have implemented Search Solving Create and Share learning assisted with Microsoft Mathematics and conventional learning. The method used is quasi-experimental with the non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. Through the Simple Random Sampling technique, two classes were selected, namely class X1 and X2 one of the SMA in Bandung Indonesia. Test instrument: story questions about adaptive reasoning abilities. Analysis using independent T-test data. Result: There is a difference in the improvement in adaptive reasoning abilities between students who using search-solve-create- share learning assisted by Microsoft mathematics compared to conventional learning. Students' difficulties in solving story problems with adaptive reasoning abilities can be minimized by getting used to solving non-routine story problems. Learning search-solve-create-share assisted by Microsoft mathematics accustoms students to convey assumptions, provide reasons for answers, draw conclusions from statements, and students can find patterns of various mathematical problems through multi-interactive media.

Pendahuluan: Remaja merupakan masa transisi dari anak-anak menjadi dewasa. Usia remaja berada pada rentang 10-19 tahun. Seiring dengan masa transisi, remaja mempunyai permasalahan yang kompleks. Salah satunya adalah perilaku seks pra nikah. faktor yang mempengaruhi seks pra nikah pada remaja adalah kurangnya informasi dan pengetahuan mengenai kesehatan reproduksi. Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dan mencegah seks pra nikah. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi pada pengetahuan dan sikap remaja dalam pencegahan hubungan seks pra nikah di SMAN 1 Sukamara, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancang bangun quasi experimental (eksperimental semu) jenis pre test – post test control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Kuesioner digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dan analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan. Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi diberikan tiga kali. Pre test dan post test dilakukan untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan sikap.  Hasil: terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan pada pengetahuan dan sikap remaja.  pengetahuan pada remaja p=0,000 (p<0,05) dan sikap pada remaja p=0,014 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja di SMAN 1 Sukamara, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Kata kunci: Pendidikan Kesehatan Reproduksi, Pengetahuan, Sikap, Seks Pra Nikah.

This research is designed to investigate the use of electronic dictionary in improving students� vocabulary mastery. This quantitative research applied quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design by involving 65 second-grader of SMAN 1 Garawangi. There were two instruments used in this research, namely test, consisted of pretest and posttest, and questionnaire. As result, the findings showed that the mean score of experimental class on pretest was 53, and the mean score of experimental class achieved 86 after the treatment. The improvement of students� vocabulary mastery can also be seen from the level of significance (two-tailed) in paired t-test that was less than the alpha (0.000<0.05). It indicated that the null hypothesis was rejected and Ha was accepted which means that there was significant difference of means between pre-test and post-test of experimental class. Besides, most students endorsed ten items of questionnaire involving affective, behavioral, and cognitive aspects which means that most students in experimental class agreed that electronic dictionary can help them in improving their vocabulary mastery. Finally, the researcher concludes that the use of electronic dictionary can improve students� vocabulary mastery.Keywords: electronic dictionary, vocabulary mastery, quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran ROPES terhadap keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa fisika kelas VII di SMP PGRI 6 Malang dan mengetahui adanya interaksi antara model pembelajaran ROPES dengan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan semua siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI 6 Malang. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling, di peroleh kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitiannya merupakan Quasi Experimental Design. Rancangan penelitian pada penelitian ini mengunakan pretest - post-test control group design. Data keaktifan dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan data prestasi dikumpulkan melalui tes. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan uji anova dua jalur dengan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran model ROPES dengan siswa yang pembelajaran model konvensional. Hal ini diperkuat oleh nilai keaktifan dan prestasi yang lebih tinggi dengan model pembelajaran ROPES dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya interaksi antara model ROPES terhadap keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat diambil simpulan bahwa model pembelajaran ROPES lebih berpengaruh terhadap keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa.

Latar Belakang. Gangguan Akibat Kekurangan Iodium (GAKI) masih terjadi di berbagai negara. Ibu hamil, bayi, dan balita adalah kelompok rentan GAKI. Kebutuhan iodium pada ibu hamil meningkat menjadi 250 µg/hari dari 150 µg/hari untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin. Asupan iodium harian tersebut harus terpenuhi agar tidak menimbulkan dampak buruk terhadap ibu atau janin diantaranya abortus, lahir mati, gangguan tumbuh kembang anak, dan dampak terburuk adalah lahir kretin. Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) merupakan sasaran potensial pendidikan kesehatan mengenai GAKI karena akan melahirkan generasi baru. Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan metode pendidikan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan keyakinan WUS mengenai GAKI, efektivitas media intervensi yang digunakan, faktor pendukung, dan penghambat pelaksanaan pendidikan kesehatan. Metode. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif quasi experimental pretest and post test control group design dengan dukungan data kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Wulung Gunung dan Desa Wonolelo, Kecamatan Sawangan, Kabupaten Magelang pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Juni 2018. Kelompok eksperimen diintervensi dengan diskusi menggunakan leaflet sementara kelompok kontrol dengan ceramah menggunakan lembar balik. Sampel dipilih secara simple random sampling. Sebanyak 101 WUS yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, kelompok eskperimen (n=54 orang) dan kelompok kontrol (n=47 orang). Data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan t test berpasangan, uji Wilcoxon, t test tidak berpasangan dan Mann Whitney, sementara data kualitatif dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil. Terdapat perbedaan rerata skor pengetahuan, sikap dan keyakinan yang tidak bermakna setelah intervensi antara kelompok diskusi dengan leaflet dan ceramah dengan lembar balik. Faktor pendukung adalah metode dan media intervensi yang dianggap menarik oleh peserta, sementara faktor penghambat adalah tidak semua peserta aktif dalam proses intervensi dan kondisi lingkungan sekitar yang dapat mengganggu konsentrasi peserta. Kesimpulan. Metode diskusi dengan leaflet dan ceramah dengan lembar balik setara dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keyakinan individu, dan keduanya dapat menjadi alternatif pendidikan kesehatan mengenai GAKI di wilayah perdesaan endemik GAKI.

The objective of the research was to find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share Strategy develops the students’ reading comprehension. The researcher applied quasi-experimental with the form of pre-test and post-test control group design and took the second year students of senior high school as the population. The researcher employed cluster random sampling consists of 60 students. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test in form of reading test. To find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share strategy develops the students’ reading comprehension, the researcher used t-test analysis. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of t-counted (5.747) was greater than the value of the t-table (2.002) at the level of significance (a = 0.05) and the degree of freedom df = 58 which meant that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Based on the result of data analysis, the mean score of students’ post-test (84.44) was greater than the mean score of students’ pre-test (63.11). Based on the finding and discussion, the researcher concludes that Think-Pair-Share strategy is effective and gives positive effect to the students’ reading comprehension achievement.

Biotechnology includes topic about gene and nuclear cloning is a very challenging subject to study at high school. Without proper Media aid, misconception will more likely to occur among students. The use of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia was expected to reduce the misconception about cloning process since it is visualized more clearly. This study was aimed to measure slope misconception of student and to analyze the application of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia to minimize student misconception on Biotechnology subject. The research was conducted at MAN 8 Jakarta on May 2012 using a quasi experimental method and pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 40 science students were taken equally from IPA 1 and IPA 2 classes at grade 10 to become experimental and control groups. They were selected by simple random sampling. A test of multiple choice questions with five alternative answers was used as the study instrument. To detect for any misconception, the test result was measured by Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Using this technique, there were 8 % misconception found on the pre-test and 7% on the post-test. As the conclusion, the use of Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia was effective to minimize student misconception on Biotechnology subject.

AbstrakProses hidup lansia telah menghadapi berbagai masalah yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan psikologi lansia. Studi terdahulu menemukan bahwa konsep diri dan makna hidup merupakan hal yang paling terpengaruh pada usia lanjut. Jika tidak diatasi, hal ini akan memicu depresi pada lansia. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan terapi untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan kemampuan memaknai hidup lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat efektifitas logoterapi terhadap peningkatan konsep diri dan kemampuan memaknai hidup lansia di panti. Desain pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Test Without Control Group Design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 responden dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan secara bermakna pada konsep diri (nilai p= 0,000) dan makna hidup (nilai p=0,000) lansia sebelum dan sesudah terapi. Logoterapi merupakan salah satu intervensi yang dapat digunakan pada lansia atau masalah psikososial. Pemberian logoterapi pada lansia berdampak pada peningkatan harga diri lansia dari rendah ke tinggi yaitu sebesar 22 responden artinya73% terjadi peningkatan harga diri-konsep diri dan ini merupakan angka yang cukup tinggi dan bermakna. Kesimpulan logoterapi efektif untuk meningkatkan konsep diri dan makna hidup lansia di Panti Pelayanan lansia di Panti pelayanan sosial pucang gading Semarang. Kata kunci: konsep diri, makna hidup, logoterapi, lansia AbstractThe effectiveness of logotherapy on improving self-concept and the ability to interpret the life of the elderly. The life process of the elderly has faced various problems that can affect the psychological development of the elderly. Previous studies have found that self-concept and the meaning of life are the most affected in old age. If not overcome, this will trigger depression in the elderly. Therefore, therapy is needed to improve self-concept and the ability to interpret the life of the elderly. This study aims to see the effectiveness of logotherapy on improving self-concept and the ability to interpret the life of the elderly in the institution. The design in this study is quantitative with Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Test Without Control Group Design. The number of samples was 30 respondents with simple random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in self-concept (p value = 0,000) and the meaning of life (p value = 0,000) the elderly before and after therapy. Logotherapy is one intervention that can be used in the elderly or psychosocial problems. The provision of logotherapy in the elderly has an impact on increasing the self-esteem of the elderly from low to high, which is 22 respondents, meaning that 73% of the increase in the price of self-concept is self and this is a fairly high and meaningful number. Conclusion Effective logotherapy to improve self-concept and the meaning of elderly life in Panti Elderly services at the social service center of Semarang ivory. Keywords: self-concept, meaning of life, logotherapy, elderly

The study determined the effects of group investigation and jurisprudential inquiry of social interaction instructional models on adolescents&rsquo; knowledge of voter education related contents in senior secondary school Government curriculum. The ultimate aim was to curb voter apathy among young citizens. The design was Quasi-experimental non-equivalent pre-test, post-test control group design. The sample for the study consisted of 165 SS II students drawn from public secondary schools in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state Nigeria. Using a multi-stage sampling technique, the intact classes from the schools were assigned to the two experimental groups. Data collected using Multiple Choice Government Achievement Test (MCGAT) were analyzed employing mean and standard deviation for the research questions and ANCOVA for testing the hypothesis at P &lt; 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed that group investigation and jurisprudential inquiry models enhanced students&rsquo; acquisition of knowledge in voter education related contents; although group investigation seemed more efficacious. There was also a statistical difference in the mean achievement scores of students with group investigation performing significantly better. These findings were exhaustively discussed with the far-reaching recommendations on how to improve voter education knowledge and potentials of young ones as future adult citizens.
