ICT is an extensional term for Information technology that stresses the role of unified communication and integration of telecommunications with computers as well as necessary software and hardware tools. Soft Skills are characteristic traits and interpersonal skills that identifies a person’s relationship with others. Certain examples of Soft Skills are Communication, Instructions, Mentoring etc. According to M. Bridget Duffy “Rather than making technology the center piece of care, it’s time to start using it to restore human connections and return people to purpose. The interplay between humans and technology goes to the heart of larger issues, in which soft skills play a key role. The most striking and latest innovations in the field of education is the integration of ICT in education. It has expanded the range of resource available for any subject- specific learning. Teachers play a pivotal role in developing the future generation of students. Therefore, they have to be properly guided so that they could enhance their competences. Proper educational training is the key element to move towards sustainability. This paper emphasizes on the importance and development of Soft Skills with the help of ICT, in the prospective teachers. So, that they can achieve professional competence. This study is based on quantitative research approach. The population of the study was prospective teachers of Patna. 100 samples from 4 different colleges of Patna were selected randomly. Self constructed and validated tools were used for data collection. Findings of the study shows that that there is significant difference in mean scores of communication skills on the basis of gender and their educational qualification while there is no significant difference in mean scores of communication skills on the basis of their marital status of prospective teachers. Significant relationship was found in the score of ICT and Communication skills of prospective teachers.

The aim of this study was to determine the perceptions of bicyclists to promote the use of bicycles in the cities. The sample was selected using simple random sampling method. A total of 1087 bicyclists, including 178 women and 909 men, who used bicycles in their everyday lives in the city, voluntarily participated in the research. The study was a descriptive research in the survey model and quantitative research approach was adopted in the research. Data were collected with “Bike Use Dissemination Scale” developed by Çeyiz (2019). The scale consists of two parts; a personal information form and expressions of participants’ dissemination of bicycle use. The t-test was used for the variables consisting of the bipartite groups and the One-Way ANOVA was used for the variables consisting of more than two groups. According to the data obtained from the bicyclists participating in the survey, there was a significant difference in the dimensions of security and dissemination by gender. It was found that women bicyclists’ safety perceptions were more negative than men’s perception; and their perceptions of the spreading dimension were more positive than the male bicyclists.

The aim of this paper is to discuss the soft skills acquisition in the tourism industry as a means of education for sustainable development. A quantitative research approach has been applied in order to investigate the soft skills needed for tourism. The analysis is based on interviews carried out with representatives of the Bulgarian regional Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the Bulgarian hotel and restaurant industry. Additionally, a case study involving three groups of respondents, i.e. Learners, Educators and Representatives of business and Employers in the tourism and hospitality industry in Bulgaria was conducted based on a combined list of soft skills. Whereas some hard skills are traditionally taught at the educational institutions, soft skills, here identified as Core soft skills, Specific soft skills and Managerial soft skills, often remain beyond the educators’ aims. Thus, the study provides some useful insights into the contemporary practice of tourism and hospitality education, on the one hand, and into the paradigm of education for sustainable development, on the other. Keywords: Soft Skills, Tourism, Business, Hospitality, Education, Sustainability, Bulgaria

This research was conducted to find out the role of village financial system (Siskeudes) on the performance of village administration with good governance as an intervening variable in Kulon Progo Regency. This research employed quantitative research approach. The data used were primary data. The informants used were village Kaur  and Kasi, the village secretaries, the village financial system operators (Siskeudes). The result showed that: (1) village financial system (Siskeudes) influences on the good governance; (2) good governance influences on the performance of the village administration; (3) village financial system (Siskeudes) no effect to performance of village administration; (4) village financial system (Siskeudes) on the performance of village administration with good governance an an intervening variable.

Purpose Board faultlines, which reflect intrinsic divisions of board members into relatively homogeneous subgroups, are associated with poor firm performance. This paper aims to extend the existing board faultline research by examining how acquisition deal size moderates the negative implications of board faultlines. Design/methodology/approach This paper uses a sample of acquisitions and a quantitative research approach to conduct statistical analysis. Findings Using a sample of acquisitions announced between 2007 and 2016, this paper finds evidence suggesting that strong faultlines are associated with poorer acquisition outcomes in the long-term, but not in the short term. Further, this paper finds that the effect of faultline strength on long-term acquisition outcomes is weaker for larger acquisition deals than smaller acquisition deals. The findings are consistent with deal size moderating the relation between faultlines and acquisition outcomes. Research limitations/implications This paper addresses possible endogeneity through firm fixed effects and instrumental variable analysis. Although this paper provides evidence on the moderating role of deal size in the context of faultlines, future research could examine the role of additional moderators, such as pro-diversity, trust, board leadership and board and task characteristics. Practical implications The findings suggest that boards need to be aware of situations where the negative effects of faultlines are more likely to come to the fore. For example, faultlines are more likely to play a role in more routine, obscure monitoring than for high-profile strategic decisions. Originality/value The study is multidisciplinary as it draws on the management, organizational behaviour and psychology and finance literature. It contributes to the developing literature on faultlines in several important ways. First, this paper supports their view that faultlines have adverse effects on board performance by showing that faultlines negatively impact discrete strategic investment decisions. Second, this paper provides evidence that deals size moderates the faultline-acquisition performance relation, indicating that the role of faultlines is contextual. Third, this paper finds evidence that suggests investors do not factor in board faultlines when responding to acquisition announcements.

Abstract Background Communicative competence is one of the important components of professional competence that needs to be developed in the process of training future doctors. Methods At the end of the study of the “General Practice” module, students of the 5th year of the specialty General Medicine must pass a two-stage exam consisting of comprehensive testing and acceptance of practical skills of an objective structured clinical exam (OSKE) with the participation of volunteers. Students, who passed the exam, anonymously filled out the questionnaire on the evaluation of the organization of the OSKE with volunteers and their communication skills. Results The analysis of the questionnaires showed that 4% of the students noted the unfriendliness of the volunteers, 27% wrote that it was difficult to engage with the volunteers in the collection of the anamnesis, 2% of the students, unfortunately, had never before encountered a similar situation. 12% of students who passed the exam wished to improve the communication skills of the volunteers themselves, for example, they advised to speak louder, not to ask unnecessary and unnecessary questions, to get more real in the role of the patient. Only 10% of examinees decided that OSKE did not develop their communication skills; 24% noted individual stations, which caused them some difficulties. However, the students themselves acknowledged their poor preparedness, including during communication with standardized patients. Conclusions The analysis of the questionnaires showed that the students themselves are self-critical of their communication skills and recognize the need for their continuous improvement. Key messages The student’s communicative competence can be assessed by conducting an objective structured clinical examination. Conducting an objective structured clinical examination with volunteers can improve the communicative competence of students.

Public construction agencies are one of the largest developers within the Danish construction industry, where such agencies own and develop new public construction projects. Most of these projects are put out in European tender. This study analyses the selection and assignment criteria employed by these agencies in different types of public sector projects.Some of the objectives pursued by the study include the determination of 1/ the selection and assignment criteria mostly used in Danish public tenders 2/how different types of projects use selection and assignment criteria in the bidding process, and 3/any significant difference between the use of selection and assignment criteria in Danish public construction projects. The study uses a quantitative research approach where 157 Danish public tender cases were selected from the European Tenders Electronic Daily database between the period: January 2010 to March 2013. Fisher's Exact Test was conducted to determine if there was any significant use of some selection and assignment criteria. The findings of the study showed that invited tenders with pre-qualification and lowest pricein 69.8% of the tenders are the most used selection and assignment criteria, with little regard to project type.

Decision making using evidence-based practice (EBP) is generally universally accepted by nurses. Such acceptance may affect the personnel’s behaviour towards patients, which is also demonstrated by taking into consideration the patient’s preferences, including the patient’s spiritual needs, in the care plan. The provision of such care requires the development of an attitude of approval and an adequate level of communicative competence, which will enable the actual implementation of the EBP. The purpose of our study was to assess the perception of spirituality and the nurse’s role in providing spiritual care, as well as the perception of the significance of communication skills in the approval of EBP in professional practice. A multi-centre cross-section study was conducted on a population of 1176 participants (459 undergraduate (bachelor’s programme, BP) and 717 postgraduate students (master’s programme, MP)) from 10 medical universities in Poland. Three tools were used in the study to evaluate the participants’ approach: Evidence-Based Practice Competence Questionnaire (EBP-COQ), The Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale (SSCRS), and Communication Skills Attitude Scale (CSAS). Structural equation modelling was used for the analysis. An analysis of structural equations revealed the presence of positive relationships of the attitude to spiritual care and the role of communicative competences with the approach to EBP regardless of the cohort. A significant difference was found related to the influence of age on the attitude towards learning communicative competences. The approval in this respect was observed to decrease with age in the MP group. Increasing approval of EBP requires strengthening the approach to activity-centred spiritual care, with the simultaneous development of a positive attitude towards learning communicative competences. The model reveals the need to integrate a humanistic approach with EBP, which can be achieved by planning different interventions in different groups of recipients: nurses, academic teachers and students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan self-efficacy matematis siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian masing-massing yaitu 30 siswa (kelas eksperimen) dan 30 siswa (kelas kontrol) sekolah dasar di beberapa sekolah sekitar kota Rantauprapat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diberi pendekatan realistik lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diberi pembelajaran konvensional, (2) adanya interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-efficacy matematis, dan (3) proses penyelesaian komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik lebih baik dari pendekatan konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa PMR lebih baik dari pendekatan matematika konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan self-efficacy matematis siswa.Improvement of Students’ Mathematical Communication Skills and Self-Efficacy through the Realistic Mathematics Learning ApproachAbstractThis study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy through a realistic mathematics learning approach (PMR). This research uses a quantitative research approach with quasi-experimental methods. The samples used in each research were 30 students (experimental class) and 30 students (control class) in elementary schools in several schools around the city of Rantauprapat. The results of this study indicate that (1) an increase in mathematical communication skills of students who are given a realistic approach is higher than students who are given conventional learning, (2) there is an interaction between learning approaches with students' initial ability to improve mathematical communication skills and mathematical self-efficacy, and (3) the process of solving students' mathematical communication using a realistic mathematics learning approach is better than the conventional approach. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that PMR is better than conventional mathematical approaches in improving students' mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy.

Academics clinical education is significant backbone of physiotherapy professionals' schooling and it is express as vital components w h i c h m a k e s r e a d y p r o f e s s i o n a l s o f physiotherapy for experience in clinical set-up.Objective: To investigate understudies' view of how the dual role of CEs as mentor and evaluator affected T-L relationship.Methodology: Self-oriented questionnaire was used using the quantitative research approach. A crosssectional survey design was used in this study. Consenting undergraduate physiotherapy clinical students from university of Lahore, Pakistan who had clinical education for at least one year completed the questionnaire. Consecutive sampling was used to recruit samples of 225 understudies.Results: The difficulties were noticed when CE needed tobehave and acting as the two evaluator and guider to the necessity of understudies. They change their behavior. This affected the relationship of teaching and learning thus affected the studying of undergrad learners. Desires for understudies and CE were frequently not satisfied.Conclusions: Discoveries found out in investigation, based onthe perspectives or the encounters that understudies have of double job of their CEs, become featured. This situation become critical to think about difficulties which are faced by understudies so as to limit possible harmful impacts on understudies' studying environment caused by difficulties

This study proposes and empirically examines a revised and extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, while acknowledging the role of trust on government cloud (G-Cloud) acceptance. The study utilized a quantitative research approach to examine the research model with data collected from a survey administered to IT professionals at government agencies in Saudi Arabia. The model was tested using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results show that trust is a major predictor of behavioral intentions to use G-Cloud that reduces uncertainty associated with the cloud and mitigates risk perceptions on the one hand, and significantly increases the perceptions of usefulness on the other hand. Furthermore, results indicate that performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions are all significant determinants of G-Cloud acceptance. Based on the findings, the study highlights several implications for practice and suggests opportunities for future research in the field of government cloud.
