The design of national economic development should never ignore three important aspects, namely integration, and sustainably and local contexts. Insufficient comprehension over these three aspects has caused delays of economic progress in several regions like Maluku. This region is characterized with archipelagic geo-profile where marine and fisheries resources are abundant but economic progress is sluggish. To catch up with the achievement shown by regions in the western part of the country, there must by effective efforts done in Maluku. This research is aimed at analyzing the three aspects mentioned above as related to acceleration of marine and fisheries economic development based on the region’s maritime geo-profile. In line with it, primary and secondary data were applied on a SWOT Analytical Approach. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that acceleration of marine and fisheries economic development in Maluku can be carried out through both local and national policies focused on facilitating prospective economic players in making massive investment in the marine and fisheries sector. Among others, this should be done by improving the capacity of Maluku marine ports and directing them to be local economic transmiters, through more effective functions as hubs for ships carrying commodities and products for both national and international markets. This research found that in line with it, a pre-requirement that has to be advanced by the government is detailed zoning of marine and fisheries resources, which is supported by a legal umbrella.

Involvement of people with disabilities in church activities, ranging from ordinary worship to resuming leadership positions, poses a great challenge to the African church. While African governments have put in place policies (Acts) regarding the involvement of people with disability in national economic development activities, findings in this paper revealed that the scenario in the church was different. This paper unfolds the real state of affairs in the church as far as involvement of people with disabilities is concerned. Even so, it appears there is a step taken that ushers in hopes for the fully-fledged engagement of the church in the near future. As a way forward, the paper appeals to the government authorities to direct and monitor the construction of church buildings to conform to inclusive standards, and that the churches should put in place policies regarding people with disabilities.

Transport, due to its ubiquitous nature, takes a key position in contemporary discourse as a critical sector that impacts governance, economic and social wellbeing of the national development. The unprecedented transportation challenges, particularly in the sub-Saharan states, have a significant implication on the performance of their economies. These challenges, more often than not, are generated by disequilibrium in the policy of the government as it affects transport administration. The study takes a comparative evaluation of the extent, dimension and manner of transport administration in Nigeria and Britain. The approach involves a documentary search of the policy intervention of transport administration in both countries. The study identifies the issues and challenges of transport administration lapses, especially on the part of Nigeria and relevant recommendation to improve transport administration for national economic development.

The national economic development in Indonesia is inseparable from the banking role. The existence of the stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (PERPU) Number 1 of 2017 on Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes will certainly affect the regulation of the banking sector in particular related to bank secrets. The establishment of the Perpu appears to have attracted the attention of the government to immediately pass it into law. It is proven which on 23 August 2017 President Joko Widodo has authorized the Perpu to become a law through Law Number 9 of 2017 on Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (PERPPU) Number 1 of 2017 on Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes into the Law -What. The policy is a form of Indonesia's commitment to participate in the automatic exchange of information globally for tax purposes. The automatic opening of bank secrets for tax purposes will certainly affect the previous banking arrangements, especially those related to bank secrets. Therefore, in order to avoid overlapping arrangements, the state of Indonesia needs to harmonize all regulations relating to bank secrets and the opening of bank secrets for tax purposes.

The purpose of this paper is to serve as a point of departure for discussion of the relationship of regional differentiation and growth to general economic development. In addition to touching on methodological problems, I hope to establish two specific points: (a) that the needs of economic history call for particular perspectives in delimiting regions, and (b) that study of regional interaction can provide insights in an understanding of national economic development.
