AbstractRiver has an important role for human and other organisms, among them are as habitat of macrozoobenthos community and the utilization of the material, such as river sand and gravel for building material. Progo River is one of rivers which have sand mining activities almost all along the river. If this activity being done continuously, in a big amount and without a good supervision, it could lead to erosion, degradation and sedimentation in some specific parts. Therefore, this research has an aim to study the effects of sand mining activity towards the distribution and the abundance of macrozoobenthos community in Progo River, and also to study which Functional Feeding Group (FFG) is the most abundant and the physic-chimic parameter that affecting them. This research was conducted in three steps, sampling and preparation of macrozoobenthos’s sample, sample’s identification, and the measurement physicochemical parameter. Sand mining activity in Progo River effect indirectly towards macrozoobenthos by causing erosion and degradation in sand mining area as well as sedimentation in downstream. The most abundant FFG of macrozobenthos in sand mining area of Progo River are scraper and collector. Based on regression and Pearson correlation analysis the results show that phosphate correlated positively against the density of macrozoobenthos in the headwaters of Progo River, light intensity correlated positively against the density of macrozoobenthos in the midstream of the Progo River, and current velocity correlated positively against the density of macrozoobenthos in the downstream of the Progo River.

Kata kunci : kerang, pokea, kebiasaan makanan, penambangan pasir, sungai pohara ABSTRACTFluctuated production of Pohara river is a real condition due to sand mining activity. Thiscondition can prominently affect the quality and quantity of food of pokea shellfish. Thisresearch was done to know species composition of prey based on sex, size, spacial dantemporal of Pohara river, south east Sulawesi. A full one year (Mart 2007 to February2008) research was conducted in Pohara river. Samples of 20 individual of pokea shellfishfor each station were obtained monthly. Gastrict samples of shellfish were observed undermicroscope and identified based on the books of Mizumo and Edmonson. Data wereanalized semi quantitative by mean of composition percentage of food for the highest partindex.. The results showed that the highest part index in gastric of male and female pokeashellfish was detritus. In the non sand mining area was found food in group of planktonwere much more compared to it from the mining area. During the months of August toSeptember, the highest part index of food in pokea gastric were dominated by plankton. This could be caused by the reproduction activity. The small size of pokea shellfish tend to feed plankton much more than the larger size of pokea which feed of much detritus.Food composition of pokea shellfish tends to change as the changes of spacial (sandmining activity), temporal, and size of shellfish.Key words : shellfish, pokea, feeding activity, and mining, pohara river

AbstractLoadings in temporomandibular joints (TMJs) are essential factors in dysfunction of TMJs, and are barely noticed in treatment of maxillofacial deformity. The only approach, which can access stresses in TMJs, could expend day’s even weeks to complete. The objective of the study was to compare the differences of the morphological and biomechanical characteristics of TMJs between asymptomatic subjects and patients with mandibular prognathism, and to preliminarily analyze the connection between the two kinds of characteristics. Morphological measurements and finite element analysis (FEA) corresponding to the central occlusion were carried out on the models of 13 mandibular prognathism patients and 10 asymptomatic subjects. The results indicated that the joint spaces of the patients were significantly lower than those of the asymptomatic subjects, while the stresses of patients were significantly greater than those of asymptomatic subjects, especially the stresses on discs. The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that weak or no correlations were found between the von Mises stresses and the joint spaces of asymptomatic subjects, while moderate, even high correlations were found in the patients. Thus, it was shown to be a feasible way to use morphological parameters to predict the internal loads of TMJs.

The concept of social capital, due to its nature and content, is associated with almost all the issues in the human, social and health fields. On the other hand, the role of happiness and joy in mental health, physical health, and social inclusion are very important in the field of health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the components of social capital and its relation with social happiness of students in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in 2017. This study is descriptive-correlational. The research population consisted of 450 students in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in 2017who were selected by cluster sampling. Bullen& Onyx Standard Social Capital Questionnaire and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient). Data analysis was performed using SPSS-23 software. In this research, social capital score was 3.17 ± 0.45 according to the students' score and the mean score of the social happiness was 3.68 ± 0.14. There was a positive and significant relationship between two variables of social capital and social happiness of students (r=0.423). Among the social capital fields, the variables of the value of life, trust, and security had the most and the least relationship with the overall social happiness. Social capital and its aspects have a direct and significant relationship with the social happiness; therefore, with increasing the social capital, the level of social happiness increases.

Abstract Background: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play an important role in angiogenesis, immune response, inflammatory response and tumor development and metastasis. m6 A (N6 - methyladenosine) is one of the most common RNA modifications in eukaryotes. The aim of our research was to investigate the potential prognostic value of m6A-related lncRNAs in ovarian cancer (OC).Methods: The data we need for our research was downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Pearson correlation analysis between 21 m6A regulators and lncRNAs was performed to identify m6A-related lncRNAs. Univariate Cox regression analysis was implemented to screen for lncRNAs with prognostic value. A least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) Cox regression and multivariate Cox regression analyses was used to further reduct the lncRNAs with prognostic value and construct a m6A-related lncRNAs signature for predicting the prognosis of OC patients. Results: 275 m6A-related lncRNAs were obtained using pearson correlation analysis. 29 m6A-related lncRNAs with prognostic value was selected through univariate Cox regression analysis. Then, a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature was identified by LASSO Cox regression. Each patient obtained a riskscore through multivariate Cox regression analyses and the patients were classified into high-and low-risk group using the median riskscore as a cutoff. Kaplan-Meier curve revealed that the patients in high-risk group have poor outcome. The receiver operating characteristic curve revealed that the predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature for OC was powerful. The predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was successfully validated in the GSE9891, GSE26193 datasets and our clinical specimens. Multivariate analyses suggested that the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was an independent prognostic factor for OC patients. Moreover, a nomogram based on the expression level of the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was established to predict survival rate of patients with OC. Finally, a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network associated with the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was constructed to understand the possible mechanisms of the m6A-related lncRNAs involed in the progression of OC.Conclusions: In conclusion, our research revealed that the m6A-related lncRNAs may affect the prognosis of OC patients and identified a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature to predict the prognosis of OC patients.

This article examines the relationship between learning and behavioural evaluation among religious officers in Malaysia after attending the Manual on HIV/AIDS in Islam Training Programmes organized by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM). The training programmes were implemented to deliver the most accurate and the latest information on HIV / AIDS as well as to train religious officers in Malaysia to address the issues among Muslims. The training programmes apply the theoretical and practical activities where participants had the opportunity to carry out outreach activities with People Living with HIV / AIDS (ODHA). Quantitative methods through questionnaires were used to obtain data. A total of 350 religious officers who had attended the training programmes were selected as respondents by simple random sampling technique. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between the learning and behavioural evaluation. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis found that there was a significant relationship between learning evaluation in terms of the information obtained from programmes’ contents and behaviour evaluation with r = 0.489 and sig = 0.000 (p <0.05) at the medium positive range.. While the relationship between learning evaluation in terms of the information obtained from outreach activities with behavioural evaluation showed a strong positive correlation with the strength values obtained were r = 0.539 and sig = 0.000 (p <0.05). This analysis shows that the information acquired through the training program Manual Islam and HIV / AIDS has been successful in changing the behaviour of religious officers’ awareness in terms of the role of dakwah to ODHA. Abstract Floodplains of the southeastern United States exhibit high biological productivity, maintained by periodic floodplain inundation as a result of seasonal flooding. To examine the relationship between biological productivity and seasonal flooding following periods of drought, we quantified aquatic macroinvertebrate communities monthly in an inundated floodplain during the annual flood pulse (December-April) in two years, one following a multi-year drought and one following a larger than average flooding event. We predicted that floodplain communities would differ in richness, biomass, and community composition between years and that differences would be driven by discharge at the main stem and organic matter availability. We collected macroinvertebrates from the floodplain of the Altamaha River, an unimpounded 6th order river in the Coastal Plain region of the southeastern US that experiences floodplain connectivity. With invertebrates identified to genus, we elucidated richness, abundance, biomass, community composition, and functional feeding group. Richness was generally higher in the drought year but decreased throughout the flood pulse, while during the flood year richness was lower and increased. Biomass decreased throughout the flood pulse following the drought year and increased during the flood year. There was a high degree of overlap in invertebrate community composition based on abundance data during both years of the study with collector gatherers being the most highly abundant functional feeding group. As climate change impacts (i.e., severe droughts) become more common, it is critical to investigate how aquatic communities are responding to increasingly unpredictable flow conditions in unimpounded and seemingly unaltered rivers.
