Communication plays a crucial role in every field in one’s life. It is an integration of the communicating technologies with the help of internet. But this facility is not for blind people. Hence, we aimed to develop an web based email application that can facilitate visually challenged people to use email services for communication. The application will work solely on voice commands spoken by the user which will enable them to communicate with the world. They can send and receive any mails whether it is a text document, picture, audio, video, etc. using this system using the internet. By providing the platform in which they can speak the operation and can able to send and receive the messages.

More and more studies conducted withthe participation of visually impaired people indicate that data obtained through auditory perception is extremely important. In this context, the ability of echolocation used by blind people to move independently is interesting. The aim of the article is to present echolocation as a method supporting spatial orientation of people with visual impairment. The article presents the results of empirical studies of echolocation. It also presents the benefits of using this ability in everyday life and signals research projects related to the methodology of teaching echolocation in Poland. People with visually impaired to get knowledge about the world around them use information from other senses. Many studies conducted with the participation of visually impaired people indicate that data obtained through hearing are extremely important. In this context, the ability of echolocation used by blind people to move independently is interesting. The aim of the article is to present echolocation as a method supporting spatial orientation of people with visual disabilities. The article presents the results of empirical studies on echolocation. It also presents the benefits of using this skill in everyday life and signals research projects on themethodology of teaching echolocation in Poland.

Internet of things is where all the things are connected to the internet and communicate with each other. There are many applications of the IoT in various fields such as healthcare, agriculture, industries, and logistics, and even for empowering people with disabilities. There are many previous work for the blind people using IoT in finding the obstacles many navigation applications have been developed. In this chapter, a system is proposed to assist blind people in reading books. This method is based on capturing the text book pages as an image and processing them into text with speech as an output.

It is generally observed throughout the world that in the last two decades, while the average speed of computers has almost doubled in a span of around eighteen months, the average speed of the network has doubled merely in a span of just eight months! In order to improve the performance, more and more researchers are focusing their research in the field of computers and its related technologies. Everyone has the right to learn and to succeed in education. For people with certain disabilities, learning can be a challenging task, and proper use of certain assistive technologies can significantly ease the challenge, and help the learners to succeed. For teachers in special education, knowing existing assistive technology is an important step towards the proper use of those technologies and success in special education. This chapter provides a guide for teachers about assistive technology and its uses in special education. Assistive technology for people with learning difficulties, assistive technology for the visually impaired, and assistive technology for people with hearing difficulties will be discussed. Since online learning and the Internet are becoming trends in distance education, this chapter will focus on assistive technologies for Web-based distance learning, including assistive technologies for better human-computer interaction. Selecting more appropriate assistive technology for a given learner with a certain learning disability, among many choices, will be discussed.

With the rapid growth of the Internet and the increasing popularity of the World Wide Web, web-based learning systems have become more and more popular. However, in general Web-based learning systems, learners may often get lost in the enormous educational materials (Eirinaki & Vazirgiannis, 2003; Murray, 2002). This kind of situation refers to a disorientation problem. In addition to the disorientation problem, general Web-based learning systems provide every learner with uniform course content and presentation without considering the different knowledge level of learners. Therefore, the course content may be insufficient or unnecessary for learners with different knowledge level. This kind of situation was referred to as cognitive-overhead problem by Murray (2002).

The power of the World Wide Web, it is commonly believed, lies in the vast information it makes available; "Content is king," the mantra runs. This image creates the conception of the Internet as most of us envision it: a vast, horizontal labyrinth of pages which connect almost arbitrarily to each other, creating a system believed to be "democratic" in which anyone can publish Web pages. I am proposing a new, vertical and hierarchical conception of the Web, observing the fact that almost everyone searching for information on the Web has to go through filter Web sites of some sort, such as search engines, to find it. The Albert Einstein Online Web site provides a paradigm for this re-conceptualization of the Web, based on a distinction between the wealth of information and that which organizes it and frames the viewers' conceptions of the information. This emphasis on organization implies that we need a new metaphor for the Internet; the hierarchical "Tree" would be more appropriate organizationally than a chaotic "Web." This metaphor needs to be changed because the current one implies an anarchic and random nature to the Web, and this implication may turn off potential Netizens, who can be scared off by such overwhelming anarchy and the difficulty of finding information.


The latest development of the Internet has brought the world into our hands. Everything happens through internet from passing information to purchasing something. Internet made the world as small circle. This project is also based on internet. This paper shows the importance of chat application in day today life and its impact in technological world. This project is to develop a chat system based on Java multithreading and network concept. The application allows people to transfer messages both in private and public way .It also enables the feature of sharing resources like files, images, videos, etc.This online system is developed to interact or chat with one another on the Internet. It is much more reliable and secure than other traditional systems available. Java, multi threading and client-server concept were used to develop the web based chat application. This application is developed with proper architecture for future enhancement. It can be deployed in all private organizations like Colleges, IT parks, etc.

Container which is considered one of the greatest role in the world of information and communication technology is the internet. Generally, any person already have internet access, so the use of the Internet as a medium of information and knowledge to provide convenience. In the medical field utilizing the Internet as a means of interaction for the purposes of providing information to the public, which will then more often we refer to as a web-based information systems. Abstract: Eyesight is one of the most useful living organisms, but visually impaired people do not realize that sense. They are unable to see the beauty of nature. Not all the problems of the visually impaired can be solved but with the help of modern technology life could be made easier for them. In this era, where everybody tends to be independent in order to survive, people with lack of visuality find it almost not possible. Blindness is a very common disability across the world. Our project is designed in order to give blind people a helping end in overcoming their daily life challenges. The “Smart Aid for Blind People” project consists of Ultrasonic sensors for detection of obstacles like a car, staircase and alert the person with the help of in-built buzzer and a voice module. It also detects the motion of the object by Sensors. We have also used vibrating motor and voice module for sending alert message to the blind person. The overall aim of the project is to provide a safety and convenience to blind people.
