Thisstudyaims toimprove poetry writing skills with acrostic techniques in elementary school students. This research is descriptive qualitative. This type of research is a class action research (Class Action Research). The research carried out consisted of two cycles, each cycle being carried out three times.TheThe research procedure includes planning, implementing the action, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 34 grade V elementary school students.After carrying out the research in the first cycle 21 of 34 students got a score of 72.35 who got a "low" qualification. After that, the second cycle of research was carried out, 33 students got an average score of 80 in the "High" qualification. Based on the results of the research in the first and second cycles it proves that the application of acrostic techniques in learning to write poetry in fifth grade elementary school students is very appropriate because the application of these techniques can improve student learning outcomes in writing poetry for the better.

AbstrakKeterlibatan siswa Sekolah Dasar di dalam proses pembelajaran masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan. Salah satunya adalah karena guru masih cenderung menjadi pusat atau aktor utama. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap percarya diri peserta didik pada pembelajaran tematik materi energi melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 17 siswa Sekolah Dasar yang terdiri dari 6 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes, dimana data yang diperoleh dianalisa secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi energi, sikap percaya diri dan aktif di dalam proses pembelajaran.AbstractThe involvement of elementary school students in the learning process still faces various problems. One of them is because the teacher still tends to be the center or the main actor. This classroom action research aims to improve learning outcomes and students' self-confidence in the thematic learning of energy materials through the application of problem-based learning strategies. The participants of this study were 17 elementary school students consisting of 6 boys and 11 girls. This classroom action research was carried out in two learning cycles. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests, where the data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that problem-based learning can improve student learning outcomes in terms of energy, self-confidence and activeness in the learning process.

Improving English Vocabulary Skills Through Storytelling Method With Mind Maps. The action research was conducted at SDN Tugu IX Cimanggis Depok, Thesis, Jakarta, PPS UNJ, 2011. The purpose of this study was to find out: how the learning process is to improve students' English vocabulary skills through the storytelling method with mind maps. This research was conducted at SDN Tugu IX Cimanggis Depok with research subjects as many as 38 second grade students. This research uses action research according to Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The results of the study show that through storytelling activities with mind maps in learning English can improve English vocabulary skills of second grade elementary school students.

This article was based on the results of classroom action research of STEM approach in investigating pumpkins at first grade of SDN 02 Aur Kuning Kota Bukittinggi. The students learn to know deeply about pumpkins that easily found in their sorrounding by investigating and combining science, mathematic, enggineering, drawing, and art in their learning process. The subject of this project was the first grader of 02 Aur Kuning elementary school students in Kota Bukittinggi. The methode used classroom action research methode in two cycles with two meeting per each cylce. Indikator of critical thinking that used in this study were basic operations of reasoning and metacognitive knowledge. The results of this research showed that by applying STEM approach in investigating pumpkin improved the learning outcome and students creative thinking in learning science and mathematic at elementary school in Bukittinggi.

In general, the purpose of this action research study is to improve learning outcomes of dribbling in a football game through a play approach to physical education. In addition, this study was conducted to obtain information about the application of the play approach for grade VI elementary school students and find out the effectiveness, efficiency and improvement of learning outcomes of dribbling in football games for physical education for 6th grade elementary school students. This action research research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were grade VI students of SD Negeri Janji, North Sumatra. To test the effectiveness of playing approach patterns can be seen from psychomotor data and results of dribbling tests in football games. In the results of the previous learning test (pre-test) obtained 30% of the expected criteria. While the level of effectiveness in the pre-test through the play approach was obtained 70% of the suggested criteria. Then proceed through the pattern of playing approaches in the game of football, the level of effectiveness in the post test obtained 86% of the expected criteria, meaning an increase of 66%. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that: (1) with a play approach to physical education, students can learn more effectively and efficiently, and improve learning outcomes dribbling. (2) with a play approach pattern, students are more motivated and active in following the learning process.

Abstract: Action research conducted with the application of the demonstration method to overcome the problem of low student achievement of learning. Through the implementation of this class action methods in primary schools and the data collected through tests and observation and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results show that the improved understanding of fractions and their use in solving problems by elementary school students through the application of methods of demonstration. It is evident that in this study proved that the application of the method of demonstration can improve the ability of the simple fraction smoothly increased.   Keywords: Methods Demonstration, Achievement

Sports activity for grade V elementary school students is not an abstract experience. Therefore, the use of used cardboard props is very important to make it easier for students to learn the long jump practice. One of the alternative props that can be used in the long jump practice is used cardboard (KB). The purpose of this research is to find out that the use of used cardboard props (KB) can improve the long jump ability of grade V students of SDN 11 Durian Sebatang, Seponti District, Kayong Utara Regency. After carrying out Classroom Action Research for 2 cycles, in general it can be said that by using used cardboard props (KB) students' long jump abilities were quantitatively increased. In addition, the interest, attention, participation and presentation of students also increased.
