This research was motivated by several reasons: (1) there was a misconception of some elementary school geometry materials that were considered essential; (2) the form of evaluation given was dominantly objective/multiple choice; (3) teachers' teaching methods tend not to be contextual; and (4) students' way of thinking simply to take the practical one. Through this research, it is expected to obtain information about: geometrical reasoning in elementary schools according to Bruner's theory, problem solving and mathematical representations. Theresearch was conducted in a descriptive analytic form, with the following steps: (1) giving questions for the geometry reasoning test for SMP; (2) analyzing answers according to the criteria of reasoning; and (3) mapping students' answers to the results of the analysis according to the profile criteria. The data obtained were analyzed, and the results were described to illustrate the condition of the geometric reasoning abilities of elementary school students. Theresults obtained in this study were: (1) The Mastery of the concept of geometry in each junior high school/equivalent. The target with the acquisition of an average score from all schools was 55, which was quite low because there were some students who did not master the concept of geometry and there were other mathematical concepts related to solving test questions; (2) There was no significant difference in the mastery of geometry concepts for male or femalestudents for each SMP/equivalent target, except for one school, namely SMP Negeri 17, which was because males are superior to females in three questions with a difference in the percentage of numbers of significantly correct; (3) The mastery of geometry concepts in each junior high school. The target of studying each geometry material was considered good, except for question number 1 with the subject of the Pythagorean Theorem, because students were dominant in not being able to use the relationship between concepts, especially the operation ofthe compounding form and the roots.

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum (K-13) has a consequence that teachers must be more qualified in carrying out learning activities. Because K-13 mandates the application of a scientific approach (5M) which includes observing, asking, gathering information, reasoning / associating, and communicating. Mathematic Teachers North Bintan Elementary School often did not give opportunity for students to get the opportunity to think creatively, critically, collaboratively and communicatively. This happens because the learning model carried out by the teacher has not implemented a learning model that can optimally accommodate students' interests and potential. Researchers have taught as classroom teachers since 2012. In the 2018/2019 academic year, researchers taught fourth grade. As a class teacher, the writer teaches all subjects, including PPKN, Indonesian, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, andSBdP. Of the six subjects, the lowest average score for daily tests was mathematics. Basic mathematics competencies are in semester II include KD 3.9, namely; Explaining and determining the perimeter and area of squares, rectangles, and triangles as well as the square relationship with the square root is the KD with the lowest score for the daily test scores of grade IV a SD Negeri 003 Bintan Utara. Class IV mathematics learning process at SD Negeri003 North Bintan often did not make students get the opportunity to think creatively, critically, collaboratively and communicatively, this happened because the learning model carried out by the teacher has not implemented a learning model that could optimally accommodate students' interests and potential. The impact was that many students could not achieve the minimum mastery level at 72. The purpose of writing this paper was to describe mathematics learning atSD Negeri 003 North Bintan, and to describe the Learning Implementation Plan with the Discovery Learning learning model, and to describe the Discovery Learning scenario. The basis for this paper was the low level of understanding of students in doing math problems.

This research was motivated when the teacher delivered material tended to use conventional method (lectures) which resulted in students becoming bored. The models and strategies used in classroom learning to tend to be less attractive so that students' enthusiasm for learning decreases. As well as props/ media that are rarely used related to the material to be achieved so that students' motivation is less to participate in learning in thematic subjects, especiallyscience. This study aims to determine the effect of the example non example cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation in science subjects outside the body of plants and their function in Class IV SDN 06 Raut. This research uses Quasi experimental design or quasi experiment. While the design in this experimental study used the research design One group pre test and post test. And the method in this research is simple linear regression. Theresults of students' learning motivation in Science were obtained through analysis pretest and post test data, namely pretest (before) obtained an average of 53.95% while the post test data analysis (after) obtained an average of 56.3%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the example non example cooperative learning model does not have an insignificant effect on the motivation to learn science in the material outside the body ofanimals and plants and its function in grade IV SDN 06 Raut.

This study was aimed at obtaining a deep understanding of the students' ability to read scientific texts, the obstacles they face, and how to overcome students’ difficulties of the second semester of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program in 2020 of FKIP Untan Pontianak. The results of the students' ability to read scientific texts are used as teaching policies in an effort to motivate and increase students in reading scientific texts to make thembetter. The method used in this research was descriptive, a form of quantitative research. The data of this research ere the test results of the ability to read scientific texts regarding literal understanding, interpretation, evaluation, and understanding of appreciation. Sources of data in this study were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, semester II of 2020, FKIP Untan Pontinak. Data collection tools were objective test questions on reading comprehension and content interpretation. The data analysis usedquantitative descriptive techniques. The validity of the data was done by checking the validity of the data and it was proven by the triangulation proposed by Robin and Meleong. The reliability of the ability to read scientific texts was determined by the reliability of the rating results. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the students' ability to read scientific texts hadan average value of 74.46. This study covered 30 students. There were 22 students with good grades above 70. There are 8 students whose grades were below 70 or not good. The obstacles faced by students in reading scientific texts were students who were not accurate in answering questions 26.6%, who did not master the vocabulary of absorption elements 27%, who did not understand the meaning of words based on the context of written sentences 30%. Students who did not master the meaning of foreign loan words, 23%, were less able to interpret meanings and read evaluatively 27%. The solutions and suggestions given to overcome these obstacles were as follows: Students are trained to read comprehension critically, to look for difficult vocabulary elements of foreign language absorption, to explain their meaning and use them in the context of other sentences, to assess evaluative reading both in groups and individually.Students also need to take the initiative to learn on their own even though they are not assigned /supervised by lecturers.
