Herbal formulations are very useful for human health because of their natural and simple processing. A quality herbal formulation must pass the test for their characteristic properties. Inspite of the large number of Ayurvedic formulations are available in the market, standards of their quality are yet to be laid. Amlaka churnam or amalaki rasayanam is a swarasa bhavita, important herbal formulation used for treatment related to immunity systems of human body. In addition to this it is also used for nurturing of skin, heart, eye and stomach. The main ingredient of amalaka churnam is amla (Embalica officinalis) family Euphorbiaceae. Though amalaka churnam is described in many classical Ayurvedic granthas, but there are minor differences in their formulations. Also marketed formulations of amalaki rasayanam by manufacturers do not have description about its standardization.  Therefore, it is necessary to develop standard parameters for establishment of quality of the formulation. In this work, a standardization of herbal formulations of amalaka churnam is reported in terms of organoleptic evaluation of ingredients with rasayana formulation, loss of drying analysis, foreign matter, phytochemical screening, pH estimation, evaluation of ash value, extractive value and rheological evaluation. Keywords: Bhvit, amalaka Churnam, Organoleptic, rheological etc.

Pharmacognostical standardization of herbal formulation is essential in order to assess the quality of drugs, based on the concentration of their active principles. Vellarugu chooranam is a reputed drug mentioned in the ancient books of Siddha Medicine for the treatment of Vata diseases, arthritis, constipation, and diabetes mellitus. The main component of Vellarugu chooranam is whole plant of Enicostemma littorale Blume (Siddha Name: Vellarugu) (Gentianaceae). In the present study an attempt has been made to standardize the Vellarugu chooranam. For the standardization of this drug Organoleptic properties, Phytochemical screening, Fluorescence analysis, Elemental analysis, Physicochemical parameters such as moisture content, ash values, extractability in water and ethanol were carried out. TLC and HPLC fingerprints of the Vellarugu chooranam were also prepared to evaluate its quality. These set of parameters were found to be sufficient to evaluate authenticity of the Vellarugu chooranam and can be used as reference standards for the preparation of a standardized pharmaceutical product and further quality control researches.

По учетам на I–VI кистях после третьей обработки симптомы обесцвечивания наблюдали лишь на единичных плодах: у F1 Океан − 10%, у F1 Алая Каравелла − 2%.Studies were conducted in 2015-2016 years in the Moscow region. 125 commercial hybrids of tomatoes of domestic and foreign selection were evaluated. The purpose of the work is to determine the cause of the phenomenon of uneven staining in fruits. The carried out researches have revealed that as a result of uneven staining of tomato fruits, in addition to commercial qualities, the dietary quality of fruits also sharply worsens. It is established that regardless of the etiology of the disease, which leads to the manifestation of the symptoms of "uneven staining of fruits," the value of such fruits is sharply reduced not only because of purely visual unattractiveness, but also because of the decrease in the content of substances beneficial to human health. And the maximum reduction is observed for the most valuable in terms of health benefits of the human body pigment - lycopene. There was a twofold decrease in the content of lycopene antioxidant in fruits with symptoms of uneven staining. Identification of viruses using ELISA and PCR in tissues of fetuses with symptoms of discoloration made it possible to isolate such viruses as TMV, ToMV, TSWV and their various combinations. The stable efficacy of Farmayod against the syndrome of uneven staining of tomato fruit is shown. It can be assumed that there is a varietal reaction not only in terms of the intensity of the development of symptoms of uneven staining of fruits, but also in sensitivity to the therapeutic effect of the application of Farmayod. Analysis of fruit with normal color taken from plants that previously had symptoms of uneven staining, after two treatments by Farmayod, showed the presence of TMV and ToMV in the fruit. On the date of the first treatment, fruits with uneven coloring were noted on I and II brushes on all three hybrids. The average percentage (%) of damage on the F1 Ocean was 22.3%, on F1 Alaya Caravel- 35%, on F1 Trivet - 51.9%. According to the accounts on I-VI brushes after the third treatment, the symptoms of discoloration were observed only on single fruits: F1 Ocean - 10%, F1 Alaya Caravel - 2%.

Environmental health is referring to the health of people in relation to environmental quality. Due to rapid urbanisation, more people are living in urban neighbourhoods. Urban planning and design aspects including the neighbourhood environment are potentially affecting the human healthy lifestyle and health condition. Thus, the relationship between Malaysian neighbourhood environmental aspects and human health has become the concern of this research. One of the neighbourhood units in Shah Alam city had been chosen as the study area for this purpose. Questionnaire survey had been carried out to examine the health condition and physical activeness of residents. Besides, the perception of residents on the quality of neighbourhood environmental aspects also had been collected in the questionnaire survey. The health condition of residents was measured by non-communicable diseases (NCD) and the physical activeness was measured in duration as well as the frequency of physical exercise activities. The study found that the quality of neighbourhood environmental aspects significantly increased the physical activeness of respondents. The physical activeness was positively associated with human health as measured in NCD (heart diseases and high blood pressure, HBP). It shows that neighbourhood environmental (physical and social) aspects are potentially affecting the healthy life of people living in the neighbourhood. Keywords: Healthy life, Neighbourhood environment, Non-communicable diseases (NCD), Physical activeness, Quality.

The objective of the present study is to evaluate the quality of the marketed and self collected samples of Plumbago zeylanica L. roots on the standardization parameters. This study is planned mainly to confirm changes with quality of drug. Now a day’s more demand of herbal drugs for disease treatment, lack of knowledge of proper methodology and availability are promoting the practices of adulteration and substitution. Thus, the standardization of the plant crude drugs is necessary to maintain their therapeutic efficacy. Comparative studies were carried out to evaluate the standards of P. zeylanica L. with emphasis on organoleptic evaluation, physicochemical and phytochemical analysis. Samples were procured from local market and self collected to determine the qualitative and quantitative variations. The result indicates that self collected sample showed significant results with comparison to marketed sample.

Liquid effluents discharged by hospitals may contain chemical and biological contaminants whose main source is the different substances used for the treatment of patients. This type of rejection can present a sanitary potentially dangerous risk for human health and can provoke a strong degradation of diverse environmental compartments mainly water and soils. The present study focuses on the quality of the liquid effluents of Hassani Abdelkader’s hospital of Sidi Bel-Abbes (West of Algeria). The results reveal a significant chemical pollution (COD: 879 mgO2/L, BOD5: 850 mgO2/L, NH4+ : 47.9 mg/l, NO2- : 4.2 mg/l, NO3- : 56.8 mg/l with respect to WHO standard of 90 mgO2/L, 30 mgO2/L, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l and 1 mg/l respectively). However, these effluents are biodegradable since the ratio COD/BOD5 do not exceeded the value of 2 in almost all samples. The presence of pathogen germs is put into evidence such as pseudomonas, the clostridium, the staphylococcus, the fecal coliforms and fecal streptococcus. These results show that the direct discharge of these effluents constitutes a major threat to human health and the environment.

The article reflects the assessment of the quality of sour cream at home, and considers methods for determining the quality of sour cream. Organoleptic evaluation was performed for compliance with the requirements of GOST 52092-2003 " Smetana. Technical conditions " in terms of appearance, consistency, color, taste and smell. The consistency of sour cream is determined during its mixing, while evaluating the presence of a glossy appearance of sour cream. Sour cream is considered thick if it slowly drains from the whorl. The smell is determined immediately after mixing. Then we evaluate the taste. When evaluating the quality of the samples under study, it was found that the organoleptic characteristics of the samples fully comply with the requirements of the regulatory document. Analyzing the results of the experiment, we can conclude that in the first experiment, the sour cream purchased on the market was completely dissolved, and the sour cream from the store after dissolution showed small grains. And in the second experiment, the results showed that the color did not change in the sample # 2, but under # 1 it turned blue. The basis of this experiment is a qualitative chemical reaction to starch, which is used as a thickener.

Electric light in buildings may provide some health benefits; however, for most people these benefits are likely to be small. It is possible for electric lighting to cause health problems, if there is too little light or there is glare, but for the most part there is good guidance available and these problems can be avoided. The quality of the lit environment can have a psychological impact and this may in turn impact well-being. A starting point for this is perceived adequacy of illumination. Related lighting metrics are examined and a hypothetical explanation is suggested.

Climate change in the Arctic affects both environmental, animal, and human health, as well as human wellbeing and societal development. Women and men, and girls and boys are affected differently. Sex-disaggregated data collection is increasingly carried out as a routine in human health research and in healthcare analysis. This study involved a literature review and used a case study design to analyze gender differences in the roles and responsibilities of men and women residing in the Arctic. The theoretical background for gender-analysis is here described together with examples from the Russian Arctic and a literature search. We conclude that a broader gender-analysis of sex-disaggregated data followed by actions is a question of human rights and also of economic benefits for societies at large and of the quality of services as in the health care.
