We present the modern views of literature studies scholars, linguists and culturologists on the concept of irony in a poetic work. We analyze different ways of expressing irony on the example of contemporary Russian-language poetry by D. Nakipov. We center on material of the research literature on the analysis of the text poetics and lyrical poems of the Russian-speaking poet of Kazakhstan. Research methods: we use the method of continuous sampling to establish elements of irony in poetic texts; component and semantic analysis is used to determine the ironic meaning at various levels of literary text: lexical, grammatical, syntactic. Conclusion: in the works of D. Nakipov irony conveys the inner attitude of the narrator to what is happening, his mood and feelings through pun, antiphrasis, changes in phraseology, the use of neologisms, etc. Different ways of expressing irony create an ironic worldview. The ironic appeal, promise, readdressing, common-language and individually-author’s words and expressions with an ironic tone serves several functions (emotive, expressive, characterological) and passes several meanings (state, attitude, influence, characterization).

This article is aimed at presenting a methodology for the conceptual analysis of poetic texts based on their lexical structure using the theory of communicative stylistics. The lexical structure of the literary text is considered to be a means of aсquainting the reader with the values manifested therein. The study of values intertwined within written works is particularly significant for the development of an axiological approach to teaching the Russian language. This article proposes a method for a sequential analysis of the lexical structure of a poetic text, which can be used at Russian language lessons.

Bible words have recently become the focus of linguists’ attention. They are viewed as separate vocabulary group in the system of nominative, expressive and metaphorical means of the Russian language. This paper examines the evolution of Bible words functioning in S. Yesenin’s poems from religious humanism to expressing revolutionary protest. Functioning patterns and techniques of desacralization are studied. The results of Yesenin’s poems analysis demonstrate that the poet used Bible words to convey the message that secular and sacred worlds can overlap. The topic of religious humanitarianism is developed on the basis of desacralization of Bible words that further actualize the meaning of sacrificing for the sake of Revolution. Against-God motives that were characteristic for the literary works of the early 20th century appear in Yesenin’s poetry. Reinterpretation of Bible words in various contexts in literary works definitely indicates their importance for poetic texts, and studying their functioning patterns in different type of discourse could be the focus for a number of further research works.

The paper deals with specific aspects of compiling modern terminological glossaries on aircraft design.According to the task, the authors have considered modern lexicography trends, studied the classification and general structure of modern glossaries, in particular terminological ones, and specific aspects of compiling technical glossaries. As a result, a modern trilingval terminological glossary on aircraft design has been compiled. The glossary contains Ukrainian terms and definitions, their English equivalents and illustrations where it is appropriate.Rapidly developing modern computer lexicography provides linguists with a series of methods and software tools for processing text information, which will be the basis for the compilation. It is owing to the computer technology that lexicographers have an opportunity to create electronic dictionaries and reference books of various types, including terminology, intended for relevant sectors of science and technology. The terminological glossary compiled by the authors according to the task set consists of 700 lexical units on airplanes and belongs to definition-and-translation glossaries of technical terms. In order to create a comprehensive term glossary on aircraft design the authors relied on the methods of conceptual and component analyses. In information science a conceptualization is an abstract simplified view of some selected part of the world, containing objects, concepts, and other entities that are presumed of interest for some particular purpose and the relationships between them. As a higher level of abstraction, a conceptualization facilitates the discussion and comparison of its various ontologies, facilitating knowledge sharing and reuse. Each ontology based upon the same overarching conceptualization maps the conceptualization into specific elements and their relationships. The authors have investigated into the notion of concept as a minimum unit of knowledge representation. Thus, aircraft design becomes a central concept of the glossary. Other concepts-terms are included to the extent they are filiated to the central concept. To determine the adequacy of links between various concepts the authors have used frame theory rules. They insist that frame theory provides conceptual and procedural guidance for enhancing the cognitive and language development capability which in its turn is essential for compiling terminological glossaries. The presented glossary is a comprehensive assembly of all relevant aspects and trends of aircraft design. The glossary is a user’s dictionary integrated into ABBYY Lingvo x5 software that delivers a combination of trusted content, easy word look-up and flexible software. The users can look up word translations and usage examples, get conjugations for verbs, listen to pronunciation and create flash cards to memorize new words.Besides, included into the ABBYY Lingvo Dictionary is the Tutor application that is of help when a person needs to learn and memorize new words on some topic. The structure and content of the developed glossary are also determined by its communicative purpose. Thus, the Terminological Glossary on Aircraft Design is intended for aviation industry experts, foreign students (who attend lectures on aircraft design), translators of technical literature, teachers of English, readers of texts on aviation in English, and also for native English speakers who learn Ukrainian and/or Russian language and are interested in the aviation industry. The glossary also aims to help the users to work with professional literature in the field of aerodynamics of aircraft, as well as linguists-translators who work with technical texts on this topic.

The article discusses linguistic and artistic realities, problems and perspectives of the literatures of the indigenous peoples of the North and the Far East. The author fixes the widespread writing of works in Russian, comprehends the reasons for the linguistic transition, raises the question of the theoretical and substantive expansion of the concept of “national literature”, emphasizes the importance of the individual author's ethnocultural component. The author considers as a landmark projection of the development of “minority” national literatures the method of including elements of the “native” language in a Russian-language poem, an appeal to the topic “native language”, the experience of accidentally recognizing one's own in the sounds of a genetically non-native language. Special attention is paid to the problem of literary translation into Russian, some scenarios of distortion of texts in translations and reduction precedents of important mythological contexts are presented. The conclusions obtained during the analysis of a large corpus of poetic texts from the Nenets, Dolgan, Even, Chukchi, Koryak, Nanai literatures can be of significant analytical interest in a comparative aspect.

We advise to use authentic materials in Russian language teaching as a foreign language. We focus on the textual approach. We give recommendations for methodical selection and literary and poetic text organization to form a foreign language communicative competence. We consider the specificity of communication in a foreign language teaching. The understanding and producing speech in a foreign language is also important. The teacher should have the means to analyze not only the authentic artistic/poetic texts he/she introduces into the teaching but also the texts produced by the students themselves in order to advise, support, assist and consult. The teacher’s aim is firstly to ensure that students are familiar with the maximum number of different texts samples in a foreign language, and then to help them to structure these data, to organize their presentation, and learn the data, to offer different activities using various linguistic and cognitive operations, finally to evaluate and to create conditions for self-assessment of their own communicative competence.

The article contains the analysis of the mental sphere lexis in Igor-Severianin’s poetry. The lexemes “dream”, “reverie” belong to mental field and represent leitmotifs, sense-making components of the ego-futurist’s literature. The frequency of their use in Severianin’s poetic texts is several times higher than is modern Russian language, which allows to notice their particular role. Moreover, the comparison of contextual and usual (dictionary) meaning shows that in poems the word-picture acquires new senses and expands the semantic field. This is visibly demonstrated by the examples of author’s use given in the article. The mental sphere lexemes help to perceive Igor-Severianin’s individual style as well as his worldview that reflects principles of ego-futurism, the literary movement aestheticizing reality and bringing human imagination into the foreground.
