AbstractViolations of the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts occur despite coursework, supervision, and training. In this discussion, we highlight the most common violation categories identified: (a) improper or inadequate supervision/delegation, (b) failure to report/respond to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as required, and (c) professionalism/integrity. The specific areas addressed under supervision/delegation involve behavior analysts’ standards and performance as supervisors, as well as compliance with coursework. For failure to report, the focus is on responding, reporting, and providing updated information to the BACB in a timely manner. Finally, the section on professionalism and integrity addresses multiple code elements, including integrity, professionalism, and scientific relationships, as well as methods for promoting an ethical culture and decisions involving ethical violations by others. Importantly, we provide guidance on the structure and organization of supervision, methods and guidelines regarding reporting, and rubrics to shape and evaluate professionalism and integrity. We provide recommendations for the supervision process and for practitioners from the organizational perspective so that the organization supports and promotes an ethical culture.

<p class="apa">Several research findings conclude that many doctoral students fail to complete their studies within the allowable time frame, in part because of problems related to the research and supervision process. Surveys show that most doctoral students are generally satisfied with their dissertation supervision. However, these surveys also reveal some students think their supervisors meet with them too infrequently, lack interest in their dissertation topics, and provide insufficient practical assistance. Furthermore, many countries will soon witness a large turnover in the labour market as people near retirement. Because this is also the case at many universities and colleges, the expectation is that there will be many teaching and research vacancies. Therefore, many new doctoral students who plan to enter academia after earning their doctoral degrees are needed. In responding to these complaints, this conceptual paper examines the use of the agile approach–which has achieved recognition and approval in software development–in the doctoral dissertation process. In the teaching/learning sphere, the agile approach can be used in iterative meetings between doctoral student and supervisor for dissertation planning, direction, and evaluation. The focus of the iterations, the so-called Sprints, is on communication and feedback throughout the entire process. The paper is based in theories on teaching/learning and on the author’s personal experience with the agile approach. Use of the agile approach, which can decrease the time required for doctoral studies, may thus increase the number of graduates with doctoral degrees. The paper makes suggestions for practical implementation of the agile approach.</p>

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in 3kg packaging is reserved actually for poor and SMEs, yet the gas is also utilized by well-off people and business owners. This occurs because of the absence of computerized surveillance systems of the gas distribution by the agent and outlet. This study aimed to develop a web-based system of 3kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas information distribution in PT.P(Persero) Gorontalo; a prototype model was used to develop the system. This research resulted in a system that provides access rights for administrators to be able to input required data, such as customer data, outlet data, outlet distribution data, and customer distribution data. The systems also help the process of 3kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas distribution and PT.P(Persero) Gorontalo in terms of the supervision process.

Student monitoring is the form of school's supervision process on the teaching and learning activities at SMAN Mojoagung, Jombang, East Java, Indonesia, which  includes the class journals, student's attendance, and students' achievement of basic competencies. However, the recent monitoring process has had some obstacles, including 1) The absence of recapitulation of students' attendance in each lesson which makes it difficult for the teacher to monitor the students' attendance in the teaching and learning process; and 2) poor documentation of the students' achievements of basic competencies in each lesson, which ultimately affects the quality of the teaching and learning process. Based on the obstacles, it is crucial to build a web-based information system which is capable to accommodate the supervision process of the teaching and learning activity involving class journal report, recapitulation of the students' attendance in each lesson and the report of basic-competence achievement.
