Vanamei prawns have fast growth and can reared in high density. it has an impact on water quality deterioration and disruption of survival rates and growth. Various ways to cope has been done, one of them is with probiotic bacteria. The new strain of D2.2 bacteria is thought to be effective of ammonia utilization. Probiotics with local bacteria Bacillus sp. D2.2 is cultured on molasses technical medium to be applied semi-mass. The purpose of this study is to asses the efectivity of Bacillus sp. D2.2 inthe molasses technical medium on water quality and growth performance of vaname prawns (Litopenaeus vannamei). The research was used complete randomized design (RAL) with four treatments, A (Control), B (Application of 5 ppm Bacillus sp. D2.2 cultured in molasses technical medium), C (Application of 10 ppm Bacillus sp. D2.2 cultured in molasses technical medium), D (Application of 15 ppm Bacillus sp. D2.2 cultured in molasses technical medium) were repeated three times each. The results showed no effect on water quality and shrimp survival rate, but absolute growth (W), daily growth rate (GR) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) showed that B and C treatment had better  than control. The study aimed to determine how the growth and survival capabilities of vaname shrimp larvae (Litopenaeus vannamei) are affected by different feeding methods and thereby the most efficient method. The study was conducted at the PT. Citra Larva Cemerlang, South of Kalianda in Lampung Province. For the experiment Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was utilized with 3 feeding methods and each was replicated 3 times. The feeding methods tested were: fozen, liquid and powdered Artemia feed. The experiments were done with up to 5000 shrimps on Zoea 1 stadia per month, which were kept in rearing tanks for 17 days.The test parameters observed were absolute growth, specific growth rate, efficiency of feed utilization, survival rate and water quality. Based on the results of statistical analysis (Anova) feeding frozen Artemia gave the best results with absolute growth of 5,6 mg, daily growth rate of 0,33 mg/hari, efficiency of feed utilization of 0,27%, and survival rate of 72,9%. Water quality during maintenance temperatures obtained is 27,1-32oC, pH 7,73-8,26, dissolved oxygen 3,8-7,1 mg/l, salinity 30-34 ppt, ammonia 0,02-1,57 mg/l. Keywords: Litopenaeus vannamei, Artemia, growth, frozen, powder, liquid.

Background: Research on supplementing feed with rice husk activated charcoal was carried out to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of rice husk activated charcoal on the growth and histological features of the Caranx ignobilis intestine. Methods: This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design consisting of six treatments and four replications, including adding activated charcoal to feed at concentrations of 0%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5%, and 3% for 42 days. The measured parameters included daily growth rate (DGR), specific growth rate (SGR), absolute growth rate (AGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), feed efficiency (FE), survival rate (SR), length of foveola gastrica, width of foveola gastrica, length of intestinal villi, and width of intestinal villi. Data were analyzed statistically using one-way analysis of variance and Duncan’s test. Results: The results showed that supplementing fish feed with rice husk activated charcoal at different concentrations significantly affected the values of DGR, AGR, FCR, FE, SR, length of the foveola gastrica, length of the villous intestine, and width of the villous intestine, but did not significantly affect SGR or foveola gastrica width. Conclusion: The 2% rice husk activated charcoal treatment showed the best results for all parameters.

This research was purposed is to find the optimum current for growth and growth of Bonylip Barb fingerlings (Osteochilus hasselti C.V). Method used in this research is compelitely Randomized Design (CRD), consists of three treatments and four replications. The treatments are : A (without current or (control), B (with 0.1 ms-1 water current) and C. (0.1 ms-1 water current cabined with venture aeration). Bonylip Barb of 4 – 6 cm size are kept as many as 15 fish / x Liters and the amount of feed given is adjusted to the feeding rate (FR) of 10 % of Bonylip Barb biomass carried out every three times a day and adjusted for growth every ten days. Water quality during maintenance (40 days) was observed once every 10  days while survival, absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency were observed every ten days. After 40 days of maintenance,  the best result showed 0.1 ms-1, with 100% survival rate , 6.09 g absolute growth, 3.13% specific growth rate , 3.48% feed conversion ratio was , and  30.04%. feed efficiency.

The research aims (1). Knowing changes concentration in agricultural waste, especially water spinach kale and spinach as a source of food for growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). (2). Knowing at what concentration of agricultural waste, especially bran kale and spinach as a source of food for growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The study was conducted in March to May 2020 in the Village of Liabuku, Bungi sub-district, Baubau town. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment and 3 replications, thus there were 12 experimental units (Gasperstz, 1991), namely: (1) Pellet Feed (Mill) / Control (2) Treatment A (70 kale waste + 20% snail flour + 10 rice bran), (3) Treatment B (60 Kale waste + 30% snail flour + 10 rice bran) ), (4) Treatment C (50% kale waste + 40% snail flour + 10 rice bran). The provision of concentrations in the form of agricultural waste, especially kale, snail flour, and bran as a source of food does not have a significant effect on absolute growth, survival rates, and feed conversion to tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) that are kept in ponds using nets. Absolute growth, survival rates, and the best feed conversion at treatment C (50% Kale Waste + 40% snail flour + rice bran 10) which are maintained in a pond using a net. The study aimed to determine the growth and survival of Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp with the application of probiotics to different stocking densities.  The study was conducted from May to June 2018 at the Balai Benih Ikan Pantai (BBIP) Ghonebalano, Duruka District, Muna Regency, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three levels of solid stocking treatment namely treatment A is 18 individu per container, treatment B is 24  individu per container and treatment C is 30  individu per container with three replications.  Data analysis using Variance Analysis (ANOVA) at the confidence level of 95% (α 0.05).  The results showed that the highest daily growth was obtained at 24 individual densities of 5.88% per day, compared to 18 individual densities of 5.86% per day and 30 individual densities of 5.74% per day.  The highest absolute growth is obtained at 24 individual density of 2.43 g per individu, then 18 individual density of 2.15 g per individual, and the lowest at 30 individual density of 2.02 g per individual.  Survival at a density of 18 individual and a density of 24 individual at 88.89%, while a 30-ind density of 86.67%.  Analysis of variance (α 0.05) showed that the application of probiotics to different stocking densities had no significant effect on the daily growth rate of vannamei shrimp (p<0.939), absolute growth of vannamei shrimp (p<0.080), and survival of vannamei shrimp (p<0.744).

This study aims to determine the optimal protein content in the feed for the growth rate of seabass (Lates calcarifer) through feeding with different protein levels maintained in the controlled tank. This study used a complete randomized design (RAL) with 46% protein content of commercial feed, 46% protein content of formulation and 48% protein content of formulation each treatment consisting of three replications. The results of this study as a whole of the parameters observed included absolute growth, daily growth rate, protein retention, and liveliness gave significantly different results between control treatment with P1 and P2, while for feed conversion ratio gave significantly different result between treatment control with P2, but not significantly different between controls with P1 and P1 with P2. .With the provision of seabass with different protein levels maintained in a controlled tank gives the best results in the control treatment with a 46% protein content.

One of the freshwater fishes thatbegan to bedeveloped is Wader fish, but there is still a lot of information that has notbeen supportedon fish farming techniques. One of them is the optimal stocking density for cultivation. The purpose of this study was to study the effects of different stocking densities on the growth and survival rates of the WaderCakulfish (Puntiusbinotatus).This research was conductedin May - July 2018. The method used in this study was to use aCompletely Randomized Design with 4 training, namely P1 (2 fish/liter), P2 (3 fish/liter), P3 (4 fish/liter) and P4 (5 fish/liter).Each treatment was repeated3 times. The main parameters were absolute growth rate (length and weight gain)(GR), specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate (SR), and feed conversion ratio (FCR).Data were analyzedusing ANOVA (analysis of variance) and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test. The results showed that different stocking densities gave significant values (P <0.05) for GR, SGR, SR and FCR comparisons. The best treatment in this study was P1 with a growth value of 0.31 ± 0.01 gram, SGR 3.50 ± 0.03%, Long Growth 1.97 ± 0.05 cm, SR 85.07 ± 2.17% and FCR 1.47 ± 0.02. P1 (2 fish/liter) is the best maintenance to increase the growth, survival rate, and feed efficiency of thecakulwader fish.

Salah satu jenis udang yang cukup potensial untuk dikembangkan adalah udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Budidaya ini berkembang dengan teknologi intensif, namun terbatas pada golongan masyarakat menengah ke atas (padat modal). Riset ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi pengaruh penggunaan tokolan terhadap produksi, Rasio Konversi Pakan (RKP) pada pembesaran udang vaname teknologi intensif. Riset ini dilaksanakan di tambak Punaga, Takalar, Instalasi Balai Riset Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BRPBAP), menggunakan empat petak masing masing berukuran 4.000 m2/petak. Hewan uji adalah udang vaname dengan perlakuan: (A) pembesaran dengan tebar benur (PL-12), dan (B) pembesaran dengan tebar tokolan (PL-27). Setiap perlakuan dengan 2 ulangan, kepadatan benur dan tokolan adalah 50 ekor/m2, dan pemeliharaan berlangsung 80 hari di tambak. Hasil yang diperoleh pada perlakuan B memperlihatkan pertumbuhan mutlak (11,114±0,258 g/ekor), sintasan (92,55±0,23%), produksi (2.087,5±88,2 kg/petak) lebih tinggi daripada perlakuan A yaitu: pertumbuhan mutlak (10,085±0,120 g/ekor), sintasan (90,83±8,51%), produksi (1.831,0±149,9 kg/petak), namun ketiga peubah ini berbeda tidak nyata antara kedua perlakuan. RKP lebih rendah pada perlakuan B (1,096±0,034) berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan A (1,257±0,048). Peubah kualitas air memperlihatkan sebaran kisaran yang merata untuk kedua perlakuan, kecuali nitrit (NO2) memperlihatkan kisaran yang tinggi pada perlakuan B (0,18235 mg/L) dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A (0,0328 mg/L) pada akhir penelitian. Hal ini disebabkan waktu panen yang berbeda sesuai dengan kondisi musim yaitu kualitas air sumber semakin menurun. Kualitas air sumber yang menurun ini diikuti oleh meningkatnya total vibrio di air laut mencapai; 4,33104 cfu/mL dibandingkan dalam air tambak 829.102 cfu/mL. Kesimpulan memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan tokolan (PL-27) menghasilkan produksi yang tinggi dan rasio konversi pakan yang rendah.One species of shrimps that has the potential to be developed for aquaculture is whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The recent cultivation method has been developed using intensive technology, but can only be afforded by middle and upper social groups (capital intensive). This research was aimed to study the influence of using shrimp juvenile on the production and feed conversion ratio of whiteleg shrimp cultured in intensive system. The research was conducted at the research installation of the Research Institute for Coastal Aquaculture in Punaga, Takalar Regency. Four  ponds each sized of 4,000 m2 were used in this research. The treatment was applied i.e grow-out of post-larvae 12 (PL-12) (A) and grow-out of shrimp juvenile (PL-27) (B) each with stocking density of 50 ind./m2. Each treatment was arranged in two replications and reared for 80 days. The results obtained in treatment B showed that absolute growth (11.114±0.258 g/ind.), survival (92,55±0,23%), and production (2,087.5±88.2 kg/pond) was higher than those of in treatment A (absolute growth, 10.085±0.120 g/ind., survival rate, 90.83±8.51%, production, 1,831.0±149.9 kg/pond), but all parameters were not significantly different between both treatments. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) was lower in treatment B (1.096±0034) and significantly different with treatment A (1.257±0.048). Water quality parameters showed similar variations in both treatments, except Nitrite (NO2) where a high range of Nitrite variation was recorded in treatment B (0.18235 mg/L) compared to treatment A (0.0328 mg/L) at the end of research. This was due to different harvest times in accordance with the conditions of the season where at a particular time, the quality of water source was decreasing. The decrease of water quality was followed by the increase of total vibrio in seawater reaching 433104 CFU/mL than in the pond water 829.102 CFU/mL. The conclusion is that using the shrimp juvenile, PL-27, high shrimp production and low RKP can be achieved.

Efforts to improve the production performance of clown loach in recirculate aquaculture system can be done by increasing stocking density and water discharge. This study aimed to analyze the effect of increasing stocking density and water discharge on production performance, stress response and water quality in order to obtain the best stocking density and water discharge to obtain maximum profit in a short time. A factorial completely randomized design with two factors, i.e. the stocking density of 1, 2, and 3 fish L-1 and the water discharge of 0,05; 0,10; 0,15 L s-1 was performed. The volume of water used in each aquarium was 48 L and using a ½ inch faucet stop to regulate the water discharge from the inlet pipe. Clown fish fed Tubifex sp. with a feeding frequency of two times a day according to the treatment for 60 days. The result indicates that there was no interaction between the two factors on production performance, payback period, and R/C ratio. Stocking density has a significant effect on specific growth rate, absolute growth rate of individual weight, feeding consumption rate and R/C ratio of clown loach. Stocking density and water discharge had an interaction on the visual color of pectoral and caudal fins of clown loach. Different stocking densities with the combination of water discharge in this study resulted that the water quality were within tolerable range for clown loach so that they did not experience stress, as well as high production and business performance. It is recommended to intensify clown loach with a stocking density of 3 fish L-1 and 0,15 L s-1‑ of water discharge.
