Kebisingan merupakan salah satu sumber penyebab terjadinya gangguan pendengaran terhadap manusia. Bandar udara dapat menimbulkan kebisingan sebagai hasil dari pencemaran melalui aktivitas lalulintas penerbangan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengukuran tingkat kebisingan dengan alat ukur sound level meter menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat kebisingan yang dihasilkan di area apron Bandar Udara Sultan Thaha Kota Jambi sebesar 91,4 dB. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran gangguan pendengaran akibat bising pada marshaller di Bandar Udara Sultan Thaha Kota Jambi tahun 2020. Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasional menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diperoleh 2 dari 3 marshaller yang merupakan informan utama dalam penelitian mengalami gangguan pendengaran. 1 dari 2 informan tersebut mengalami gangguan pendengaran akibat bising pada kedua telinganya, sedangkan informan lainnya mengalami gangguan pendengaran akibat bising di telinga sebelah kanan. Informan tidak mengalami gangguan pendengaran akibat bising (telinga normal). Pencegahan hanya dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan alat pelindung diri terhadap pekerja tetapi masih kurangnya kedisiplinan dalam menerapakan penggunaan APD tersebut. We studied the level of music loudness to which operators of music recording/retail centre were exposed in order to determine their risk of work-related hearing loss. A survey of consenting operators of music recording centres on six main streets selected by simple random sampling at different locations of the town was carried out using a structured questionnaire. The sound level of the music from the music player speakers in each centre was measured using a sound level meter (Testo 815) duly calibrated with a sound level meter calibrator (Testo 0554.0009). Results were analyzed by simple descriptive statistics. The study involved 79 mainly male young adults aged 27.7 ± 6.8 years (SD). The measured sound levels in the centres ranged from 86-104dBA; with a mean of 96 ± 2.5dBA(SD). Exposure to this music loudness was for an average of 9 hours daily for an employment period averaging about 5 years. Thirty percent of the study population reduced music loudness by turning down the volume; 6.3% sat at six or more metres from the speakers; 10% used ear plugs occasionally and 7.6% had hearing assessment at some stage prior to the present study. The level of noise exposure of this population of young males is in excess of the threshold associated with irreversible hearing loss, and protection measures were less than optimal.

INTRODUCTION: Recreational noise exposure has become a major threat to the hearing system, and this includes exposure to loud noise during group exercises such as Zumba Fitness, where loud music plays an important role. This study aimed to assess the noise exposure and hearing threshold profile among Zumba Fitness regulars in Kuantan, Malaysia. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Noise exposure and hearing profile threshold were measured during Zumba Fitness sessions at a fitness studio in Kuantan, Malaysia from 24th June 2014 to 12th August 2014. Noise exposure was measured using a noise dosimeter for one hour of Zumba Fitness session with a total of nine sessions run by three different instructors while sound level pressure was taken using a sound level meter during ambient, peak session and during cooling down. Thirty participants answered questionnaires and underwent pure tone diagnostic audiometry test at a local clinic for hearing threshold documentation. RESULTS: Some areas of the hall posed higher risks of causing noise-induced hearing loss especially near the amplifiers. There were periods when the hearing level exceeded 115 dBA. Early abnormal pattern could be observed in the hearing profiles of some of the participants to suggest preliminary hearing problems. CONCLUSION: Zumba Fitness regulars have a risk of developing noise-induced hearing loss and preventive steps should be properly addressed as NIHL is permanent and irreversible.

Abstract: Excessive use of headsets for a long period of time may cause hearing loss. While using a headset, the ears receive sound waves which are converted into electrical pulses transmitted to the auditory cortex via the auditory nerve. Exposures to noises can damage the cochlea hair cells that worsen the degenerative process of the auditory nerve. Radio announcing is one of the professions with a frequent use of a headset. This study aimed to find  the difference of the auditory functions between people who used headsets frequently and those who did not use headsets. This was a case-control study consisting of a group of people frequently using headsets (radio announcers, the case group) and a group without using headsets (non-radio announcers, the control group). Each group consisted of 20 respondents aged 20-40 years. Hearing functions were measured by using an audiometer while the noise levels generated by the headsets were measured with a sound level meter. The results showed that by using the Fisher exact test, there was a highly significant relationship between the usage of headsets and the hearing loss of the respondents’ left ears  (P = 0.001 <0.01) and right ears (P = 0.010 <0.05). Conclusion: There was a difference of hearing in both ears between the radio announcers and non-radio announcers. Keywords: noise exposure, headset, hearing function, radio announcer.     Abstrak: Pemakaian headset berlebih dalam kurun waktu yang lama dapat menimbulkan gangguan pendengaran. Pada penggunaan headset, telinga menerima gelombang suara yang kemudian diubah menjadi pulsa listrik yang diteruskan ke korteks pendengaran melalui saraf pendengaran. Pada telinga yang terpapar bising untuk waktu lama dapat terjadi kerusakan sel-sel rambut di koklea saraf pendengaran yang memperburuk proses degenerasi saraf pendengaran. Penyiar radio merupakan salah satu profesi dengan tingkat pengunaan headset yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan perbedaan fungsi pendengaran antara pengguna headset dan yang tidak menggunakan headset. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus-kontrol (case-control study) dengan melakukan perbandingan antara kelompok yang memakai headset (penyiar radio, kelompok kasus) dan kelompok lainnya yang tidak memakai headset (bukan penyiar radio, kelompok kontrol). Masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 20 responden berusia 20-40 tahun. Fungsi pendengaran diukur dengan audiometer sedangkan tingkat kebisingan yang ditimbulkan oleh headset di ukur dengan sound level meter. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Fisher exact menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang sangat bermakna antara penggunaan headset dan gangguan pendengaran pada telinga kiri (P = 0,001 <0,01) dan telinga kanan (P = 0,010 <0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan fungsi pendengaran kedua telinga antara penyiar radio dan yag bukan penyiar radio. Kata kunci: paparan bising, headset, fungsi pendengaran, penyiar radio.

ABSTRAKKebisingan merupakan salah satu faktor bahaya fisik yang sering dijumpai di lingkungan kerja. PT. Adi Satria Abadi merupakan industri di bidang penyamakan kulit yang berlokasi di Yogyakarta memiliki tingkat kebisingan yaitu ruang Spray (89,2 dB), ruang Stacking (87,1 dB), mesin Setter (88,6 dB), mesin milling (90,8 dB), mesin Shaving (86,6 dB), risiko kebisingan yang melebihi NAB dapat berakibat menurunnya tingkat pendengaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan Hearing Loss pada pekerja di bagian Produksi PT. Adi Satria Abadi Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian observasional analitik menggunakan desain cross sectional untuk mencari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Jumlah sampel sebesar 70 orang. Sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan dasar pertimbangan memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini lembar data responden, checklist observasi dan sound level meter untuk mengukur kebisingan. Teknik analisis data ini menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara intensitas kebisingan dengan gangguan fungsi pendengaran (p-value= 0,000 dan rs = 0,531). Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara umur dengan gangguan fungsi pendengaran (p-value= 0,001 dan rs = 0,433). Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pemakaian alat pelindung telinga dengan gangguan fungsi pendengaran (p-value= 0,001 dan rs = 0,433). Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku merokok dengan gangguan fungsi pendengaran (p-value 0,021 dan rs = 0,221). Kesimpulan terdapat hubungan antara intensitas kebisingan, umur, pemakaian APD dan perilaku merokok dengan kejadian hearing loss pada pekerja di bagian produksi PT. PT. Adi Satria Abadi is an industry in the field of leather tanning located in Yogyakarta that has noise levels namely Spray room (89.2 dB), Stacking room (87.1 dB), Setter machine (88.6 dB), milling machine (90.8 dB), Shaving machines (86.6 dB), the risk of noise exceeding the NAB can result in decreased hearing levels. This data analysis technique uses univariate analysis, and bivariate using the Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between noise intensity and hearing impairment (p = 0,000 and rs = 0,531). There was a significant relationship between age and hearing impairment (p = 0.001 and rs = 0.433). There is a significant relationship between the use of ear protectors with hearing impairment (p = 0.001 and rs = 0.433). There was a significant relationship between smoking behavior and hearing impairment (p = 0.021 and rs = 0.221). Conclusion there is a relationship between noise intensity, age, use of PPE and smoking behavior with the incidence of hearing loss in workers in the production of PT. Abstrac: Noise is unwanted sound such  as noise that comes from. Noise at high intensity that long exposes to people  can cause interference both on auditory and also on non-auditory functions. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of noise diesel electric welding machine to the auditory function, both subjective and objective.This research is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The Population samples are from 30 people that wasobtained through questionnaire. Then performedin the examinationofauditory function using audiometer in Prof. dr.R. DKandou General Hospital Manado. Previous measurement of  noise levels welding workshop conducted by measuring the Sound Level Meter. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution Program (SPSS) and using Fisher's Exact test.The results show that workers with exposure noise  > 90 dB, a total of  27 workers with a percentage (90%) have hearing loss and 3 workers with the percentage (10%) do not hearing loss. Analytical results obtained by Fisher’s Exact show that there is a significant relationship between the effect of noise on hearing function (p = 0,002). Conclusion: Based on these results it can be concluded, that there is a significant relationship between the effect of noise on significan hearing function. Key Words: Noise, Hearing Function   Abstrak: Kebisingan adalah suara yang tidak dikehendaki seperti  suara yang bersumber dari bising mesin las disel listrik. Kebisingan pada intensitas tinggi dan dipaparkan dengan jangka waktu yang lama pada orang  dapat menimbulkan gangguan fungsi pendengaran dan juga pada fungsi non pendengaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebisingan mesin las disel listrik terhadap fungsi pendengaran, baik subjektif dan objektif.Penelitian ini bersifat survey analitik dengan desain potong lintang.Populasi sebanyak 30 orang yang di peroleh melalui kuesioner.Kemudian dilakukan fungsi pendengaran di RSUP. Prof. dr. R. D. Kandou Manado yaitu pemeriksaan audiometer. Sebelumnya pengukuran tingkat kebisingan bengkel las dilakukan dengan pengukuran Sound Level Meter. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistical  Program Product and Service Solution (SPSS) dan menggunakan uji Fisher Exact. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 27 pekerja mengalami paparan kebisingan  90 dB, dengan presentrase (90%) mengalami gangguan pendengaran dan 3 pekerja (10%) tidak mengalami gangguan pendengaran. Hasil analisis Fisher Exact menyatakan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh kebisingan terhadap fungsi pendengaran (p = 0,002). Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh kebisingan terhadap fungsi pendengaran. Kata Kunci : Kebisingan, Fungsi Pendengaran

One wildly used method to reduce and control the noise pollution in green city’s buildings is using sonic-absorbent panels. Their applications can be multiple, such as the insulation of buildings, acoustic barriers and fences along the highway or in front of supermarkets, hospitals and other public buildings. This paper presents a method for testing the behavior of sonic-absorbent panels in open-air environment. The work represents a carrying on of previous research about absorbent materials from gypsum family, tested in lab conditions. The experiment setup used a dynamic installation and as a sample a stand formed by six sonic-absorbent panels from special modeling alpha-gypsum plaster. This installation has been composed of two loudspeakers for emitting the sound at a well-defined frequency by the first laptop, the microphone for detecting and transmitting the signal to the second laptop for analyzing and processing the data. All operations were performed using MATLAB Programs, while a Data Logger Sound Level Meter type CENTER 332 was put on near the microphone to compare both results. The first experiment of acoustic stand has been realized by setting up the installation at a frequency from 50 Hz to 1250 Hz and altering the distance between loudspeakers and stand at 0.5m to 1m and 1.5m, respectively. The second experiment kept the same test’s conditions, while two and three layers of sonic-absorbent panels formed the stand, respectively, but at same distance from source of 0.5 m. In both tests, the results underlined the good sonic-absorbent properties of these panels, especially at medium and high frequency, which can recommend using the panels for multiple outside applications.

Dalam kegiatan operasionalnya CV. X yang bergerak pada pengolahan kayu, berpotensi menimbulkan kebisingan yang berasal dari mesin-mesin yang digunakan dalam proses produksi pallet. Kebisingan di perusahaan ini dapat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan dan kenyamanan pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas kebisingan yang dihasilkan oleh mesin produksi, lama waktu pemaparan, pemetaan kebisingan dan upaya pengendalian kebisingan. Metode pengukuran kebisingan mengacu pada metode noise mapping dan alat yang digunakan adalah Sound Level Meter. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah menjadi peta kontur dengan variasi warna biru, hijau, kuning, ungu dan merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kebisingan tertinggi sebesar 99,4 dB dan tingkat kebisingan terendah sebesar 67,3 dB. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan persamaan NIOSH dari 128 titik pengukuran metode noise mapping terdapat 38 titik dengan tingkat kebisingan >85 dB yang menunjukkan waktu pemaparan di atas standar yang sudah direkomendasikan NIOSH. Tingkat kebisingan tertinggi sebesar 99,4 dB dengan lama pemaparan selama 0,3 jam dan tingkat kebisingan terendah sebesar 67,3 dB dengan lama pemaparan selama 475 jam. Upaya pengendalian yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi kebisingan seperti pengendalian dari sumber, jalur transmisi, dan penerima.

Permasalahan lingkungan dari usaha kegiatan manusia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, seperti sandang, pangan, papan dan transportasi harus dilakukan penanganan dengan baik. Misalnya seperti pengaruh kegiatan transportasi udara terhadap kondisi kualitas lingkungan setempat  seperti kegiatan di Bandara Cilik Riwut Kelurahan Pahandut, Kecamatan Pahandut, Kota Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis data instrumen seperti Sound Level Meter Instrument, Anemometer, GPS, Flight Radar, Google Maps Application & WECPNL Instrument (Weighted Equivalent Continuous Perceived Noise Level)  dan pengambilan data dilakukan selama tiga hari sesuai dengan kedatangan dan keberangkatan pesawat. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis WECPNL menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan di hari ke 2 lebih besar dibandingkan hari ke 3 dan hari ke 3 lebih besar dari hari ke 1 (87,2  > 82,2 > 75,9) dengan nilai rata-rata WECPNL sebesar 81,7. Kebisingan di bandara Cilik Riwut di Kota Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah termasuk kebisingan regional tingkat II dan III. Kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimalisir Risiko kebisingan tersebut yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan rekayasa keteknikan dan menanam vegetasi yang berfungsi mengurangi kebisingan Kata kunci: Bandara, Kebisingan, Lingkungan. The environmental problems of the efforts of human activities to meet the needs of life, such as clothing, food, housing and transportation must be handled properly. For example, such as the influence of air transportation activities on local environmental quality conditions such as activities at Cilik Riwut Airport, Pahandut Village, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, Central of Kalimantan. The research method used is a qualitative method with data analysis instruments such as Sound Level Meter Instrument, Anemometer, GPS, Flight Radar, Google Maps Application and WECPNL Instrument (Weighted Equivalent Continuous Percepived Noise) and data collection is carried out for three days in accordance with the arrival and departure of the aircraft. Results of research with  WECPNL analysis show that the noise level on the second day is greater than the third day and the third day is greater than the first day (87,2  > 82,2 > 75,9) with  score average value is 81,7. Noise at Cilik Riwut airport in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan including regional level II and III noise. activities that can be carried out are carrying out engineering activities and planting vegetation which have the function of reducing noise. Keyword: Airport, Environmental, Noice.
