This study aims to analyze the types of deixis by using Levinson’s theory, find out the dominant types of deixis, and the reasons behind the uses of deixis by foreign and local English teachers. The study used a qualitative method particularly a case study. The data sources of this study were the foreign and local English teachers’ utterances. The data were obtained through a classroom observation and interview technique. The data were analysed using Miles and Hubermans’s interactive model. The findings showed that five types of deixis were found in the foreign and local English teacher’s utterances, namely person deixis, place deixis, time deixis, discourse deixis, and social deixis. The dominant types of deixis in both the English teachers’ utterances were person deixis.  The reasons behind the uses of deixis were also explained in this study

The aims of this study is to find out and analyzed about students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) It is the case study and field research of one school in Nusa Dua Badung-Bali. The data sources chosen in this study were several high schools that carried out online examinations at Nusa Dua Vocational high school Bali-Indonesia. Data collection is done by random sampling from data sources, observation, interviews, recording, and note taking. Distribution of questionnaires was also carried out to strengthen data analysis. Data is analyzed based on the formulation of the problem and the study of theory that has been, then analyzed in qualitative description. The descriptive study used paper-based surveys and interviews for data collection. To obtain information about the students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA). Based on our review and study result, there are some influences that found. The Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) systematics is held with the aim that students become more critical and independent in solving the questions given.

The purpose of this study is to know, to describe, and to analyze the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in the vocational high school (SMK) majoring in hotel accommodation program skill. The research method used in this research is the qualitative method. This method is intended to know deeply in the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in SMK. This research started with the observation of edupreneurship activity through teaching factory at SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. The data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with informants who are directly involved in edupreneurship activities. The result of this research is the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in terms of learning, there is commitment and basic principle which run by the school but not yet optimal. There are still significant obstacles, especially related to the work culture that is applied not in accordance with the procedures of business and industry (DUDI), educators who have not understood the culture of DUDI, facilities, and infrastructure that do not meet the DUDI standards, the cooperation between SMK and DUDI is still weak, and the regulation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which requires the use of state-owned goods as a form of state income.

In a multilingual society, code mixing and code switching occur in communication. The purpose of this study is to describe the code switching and code mixing used by counseling teachers in providing counseling guidance at State Vocational High School 7 Jember. Sociolinguistic studies were applied to achieve the objectives of this study The data collected was in the form of counseling teacher's utterances in the process of counseling guidance which contained code mixing and code switching. The data sources are counseling teachers and guidance students. The data is analyzed using theory of code mixing and code switching. The result of this study indicates that counseling teachers use code switching from Indonesian to Javanese to give advice to the students. The use of the code switching is an effort to make the advice given more effective. Code mixing into Javanese occurs due to the background of the native language possessed by the counseling teacher namely Javanese language. So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon. Technique of completion of data and information is done through interview, observation, study study, and literature study. The findings of this research are 1). Students or students are required to complete the recitation of Furudhul Ainiyah as a condition to take the odd semester and even semester exam and become a requirement for class and graduation increase. 2). the implementation of the furudhul Ainiyah memorization is performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Tuesday nights, and can also be done during normal day breaks, 3). The responsible and recipient of the rote deposit are PAI teachers and their homeroom teachers, 4). For students and students who can not read written Al-qur'an is not subject to rote burden, but get special coaching related to Al-Qur'an reading written by the religious coordinator of students. 5). Memory materials include Aqidah, Fiqih or Amaliyah materials, and daily prayers for students of VII and VIII semerter 1 and 2, while for classes IX semesters 1 and 2 cover the material of the Qur'an and Fiqh. 6). This study aims to build a model of sharia life insurance in Indonesia. A model that combines the functions of Takaful institutions (Sharia Insurance) with Indonesian Waqf Institutions to generate insurance benefits directly and indirectly to policyholders. The method used in this research using descriptive qualitative method with case study strategy about operational of Takaful which is compared with some literature of Al Qur'an and Hadith. The data were obtained from in-depth interview technique, book and literature as well as Hadith commentary study. The results of this study indicate that with the application of ITW model, the insurance claim of the deceased policyholder will be given to the heirs in the form of death funds, in addition to these benefits, the recipients of the policy are also indirectly get the good deeds of some of the funds invested into the waqf institutions. On the application of such a model, the owner of the life insurance policy gets worldly benefits and ukhrowi, namely the claim of death funds and the good deed of the investment of some premium funds to Waqf Institution.

This study aims to find out and describe the students’ positive responses toward homework given by English teachers at grade twelve in SMK Negeri 3 Purworejo in the academic year of 2014/2015. The subject of the research is students of SMK Negeri 3 Purworejo grade twelve in the academic year of 2014/2015. The approach is qualitative naturalistic and the data were taken using open questionnaire. The research finding reveals 21 final categories. From those 21 final categories, there are four main components which are important to be explored further. Those four components are students, homework materials, teachers, and facilities. The positive responses toward homework coming from the students are satisfaction and happiness if they can do it without cheating. They are challenged in doing the homework and get new knowledge. Doing the listening homework trains students to concentrate. They better understand the learning material, develop their self-confidence, and express their ideas and opinions. For homework materials, the students’ positive responses are dominated by the material that students have already learned and have not learned yet. The positive responses based on teachers are the English teachers have to discuss and give scores of the homework. Regarding facilities, the students consider that the school’s facilities should be various and complete to help them do the homework.

AbstractIslam Education (PAI) at schools has not achieved the optimum level, due to the shortage of the PAI teacher. The number of the PAI teacher in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Province is currently not comparable with the number of students, because: (i) the impact of moratorium policy of the PAI teacher’s recruitment (pengangkatan guru), (ii) the teachers are retiring, and (iii) unscattered number of the PAI teacher. This research used qualitative method, supported by quantitative data. Data collection was conducted through observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentary. Meanwhile, data processing method was editing, coding, tabulating, and interpretation through qualitative and descriptive analysis. Research found that: 1) The shortage of the PAI teachers in NTB, for level SD (Elementary School), SMP (Junior High School), SMA (Senior High School), and SMK (Vocational High School); 2) The Ministry of Religious Affairs - District/City is facing the problem to organize the PAI  teacher at schools, due to the recruitment and payroll system of the Education Board (Dinas Pendidikan); 3) The deployment of the PAI teacher has not followed the system of surplus and shortage analysis, based on education unit within the number of study groups; 4) The PAI teacher’s supervision at schools through Teachers Working Group (Kelompok Kerja Guru, KKG) and Lesson-Teacher Meeting (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran, MGMP). This research recommends that: 1) The demand of the PAI teacher at schools can be fulfilled by recruiting temporary teacher (guru honorer), done by schools and Education Board, by giving additional teaching duties for the PAI teacher who has not achieved minimum 24 hours; 2) The PAI teacher’s recruitment, deployment and supervision have to be fully authorized by The Ministry of Religious Affairs; 3) The surplus and shortage analysis of the PAI teacher is needed in Level Education Board (Dinas Pendidikan), The Ministry of Religious Affairs – District/City, and Education unit, and 4) The Ministry of Religious Affairs through Directorate of Islam Education (Direktorat Pendidikan Agama Islam) should allocate operational budget for proper KKG/MGMP actitivities of PAI.Abstrak Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah belum optimal karena kurangnya jumlah guru pendidikan agama Islam. Jumlah guru pendidikan agama Islam di provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat saat ini tidak sebanding dengan jumlah siswa sebagai akibat kebijakan moratorium pengangkatan guru PAI, ada yang pensiun dan tidak meratanya sebaran guru PAI. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang didukung oleh data kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi, angket, wawancara dan dokumenter. Adapun teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan adalah editing, coding, tabulating dan interpretation data dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan penelitian: 1) Jumlah guru PAI di provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat pada jenjang SD, SMP, SMA dan SMK masih mengalami kekurangan; 2) Kementerian Agama Kabupaten/Kota mengalami kesulitan dalam mengkoordinasikan guru PAI di sekolah karena pengangkatan dan penggajian oleh Dinas Pendidikan; 3) Penempatan guru PAI belum berdasarkan kepada sistem analisis kelebihan dan kekurangan guru PAI berdasarkan satuan pendidikan sesuai jumlah rombongan belajar; 4) Pembinaan guru PAI di sekolah melalui Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) dan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan: 1) Pemenuhan guru PAI di sekolah dapat dilakukan melalui pengangkatan guru honorer oleh sekolah dan melalui Dinas Pendidikan, dengan memberikan tugas tambahan mengajar bagi guru PAI yang belum memenuhi jumlah minimal 24 jam; 2) Pengangkatan, penempatan dan pembinaan guru PAI seharusnya menjadi kewenangan penuh Kementerian Agama; 3) Perlunya sistem analisis kelebihan dan kekurangan guru PAI di tingkat Dinas Pendidikan, Kementerian Agama Kabupaten/Kota dan Satuan Pendidikan dan 4) Kementerian Agama melalui Direktorat Pendidikan Agama Islam perlu menganggarkan dana operasional kegiatan KKG/MGMP PAI yang memadai.
