The Need Analysis of Student Worksheet for Writing Drama Script of Seventh Grade Student

This research aims to describe the results of the learners’ needs toward the drama script writing material development using a scientific approach. This research applied a qualitative approach. The data were collected with observation, questionnaire, and interview techniques. The applied instruments were observation, questionnaire, and interview. The sample consisted of learners. The findings showed that the learners needed communication and technology-based teaching materials to support their needs of drama script writing skill training. Based on the learners’ characteristics identification, they needed learning application to make the learning activities and to freely enrich the sources. They also needed interesting teaching materials that had many examples, provided writing exercises, the opportunity to interact, time to work the exercise, and space to perform. Therefore, this research proposed Moodle application as a learning material in the form of a Student Worksheet. This initial stage of research is expected to be the beginning of drama script writing material development with a scientific approach and based on Moodle. The results of the learners’ need analysis could be also used by other researchers to obtain the 21st-century learners’ characteristics.

This article presents a part of a study conducted to develop multimedia based teaching material for Grammar 3. It aims at describing needs and problems of students in learning Grammar 3 through a descriptive study. The data were gathered from the questionnaires distributed to the students who have taken Grammar 3 course. The result of the research conveys that 1) there is a gap between the objective of Grammar 3 course and the students’ achievement in the class, 2) students get the problems in understanding Grammar 3 due to inappropriate teaching materials used in teaching and learning process, and 3) the students need a multimedia based teaching materials to improve their understanding and achievement in Grammar 3 course.Key words/phrases:teaching material development, multimedia, need analysis, Grammar 3 APAKAH MAHASISWA MEMBUTUHKAN MATERI AJAR GRAMMAR 3 BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA?AbstrakArtikel ini merupakan salah satu bagian dari rangkaian penelitian pengembangan materi ajar Grammar 3 berbasis multimedia. This study aims to create and develop teaching materials for early childhood education (PAUD) media units to facilitate learning processes. The teaching materials developed are compiled with a project-based learning approach. The research was conducted on the PAUD media unit in the Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) undergraduate program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This research is following Dick and Carey’s model of Research and Development. The development stage focuses on determining instructional goals, analyzing learning materials, analyzing student abilities in the learning context, determining learning targets, developing instruments, developing project-based learning strategies, and applying them to learning. The results showed that students could develop media in line with learning needs and aspects of children’s development using teaching materials.

This study aims to develop a value-based teaching material for Citizenship Education (PKn) together with the local wisdom of the Minangkabau community to build the national character of the fifth grade students of Elementary School. The research conducted is research and development with the ADDIE research model which is an acronym in English from the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. By participating in the development stage of the ADDIE model, teaching material development is carried out by combining the values of togetherness found in the local wisdom of the Minangkabau community in a single unit of learning material. Data obtained from the validation of teaching materials, classroom learning practices, and the effectiveness of learning from student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the development of Pkn teaching materials based on the values of togetherness of the Minangkabau community has been successfully carried out based on data on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials in learning in Class V of Elementary School.Keywords: Development Research, Minangkabau, PKn, SD Togetherness Value.

The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials in English speaking skills that are suitable for the needs of primary English teachers’ candidates in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang. The research is designed with a research and development study or R and D cycle consisting of seven steps: literature study, needs analysis, syllabus analysis, teaching material development, product validation, product testing and final product. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, questionnaire and product tests. The findings of the study reveal that 12 chapters of speaking teaching material was chosen for Primary English teachers’ candidates based on contextual approach, namely: greeting and introducing, counting numbers, talking about family, describing objects, talking about houses, school and class environment, telling time and talking about daily activity, talking about feeling and health issues, shopping time, asking and giving directions, talking about plans and telling past experiences. The results of the effectiveness test show that speaking teaching materials are stated to be good. These findings call for lecturers to apply the teaching material developed in the learning process as a main reference or as a supplementary material so that it can make learning material more interesting, innovative, and effective.

Teaching material is one of the learning components that used to assist the students understand a material. To fulfill this function, at least the material provided is relevant to the students’ daily life. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching material that meets the concept of contextual learning. The purpose of this research was to produce teaching materials that are suitable to be used by developing a base of local wisdom. Local wisdom were chosen due to they are related to the concept of disaster mitigation, and are close to the students’ daily life. Research method used the Borg & Gall stage which was then adapted into, (1) collecting information and need analysis; (2) planning; (3) teaching material development; (4) prototype testing; (5) prototype revision; (6) model testing; (7) model revision. Through this stage, research product in the form of teaching materials was assessed for its feasibility by several experts and also tested on students as users. Product is targeted to gain a positive response from users with an average score above 70% which indicates that it is quite feasible to be implemented in learning, so that it may be an alternative as a learning resource besides using other textbooks.

Abstract: Development of teaching materials to write biographical text choosing a life-based learning approach is intended for students of grade X Vocational High School (SMK). This development is considered capable of being a solution to the lack of teaching materials to write biographical text for vocational schools. The selection of life-based learning approaches is considered by researchers to be able to bring learning closer to life. An approach that is in accordance with the characteristics of The Indonesian Language that becomes a science expert. Qr-code presented in the development of this book helps students understand the concepts, materials of teaching materials, articles, concepts of life-based learning, and activities presented. This study uses the ADDIE model (analysis, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). Needs analysis and curriculum become the beginning of knowing the urgency of need analysis. Analysis of student needs at SMKN Darul Ulum shows the need in the development of teaching materials with a percentage of 80%. Product development by arranging teaching material development instruments according to previous needs analysis. Validity test is conducted to know that the teaching materials developed in accordance with the material expert validation test instrument, the validity of learning media, and the validity of field learners. Based on the results of the validity test, the following percentages were obtained: material validity 99.01%, media validity 91.04%, and lastly the validity of field learners 95.52%. Seeing the results, the teaching materials developed by the researchers get very valid results and can be implemented. Pengembangan ini dinilai mampu menjadi solusi minimnya bahan ajar menulis teks biografi untuk SMK. Pemilihan pendekatan life-based learning dinilai peneliti mampu mendekatkan pembelajaran pada kehidupan. Pendekatan yang sesuai dengan ciri khas Bahasa Indonesia yang menjadi penghela ilmu pengetahuan. QR-code yang dihadirkan dalam pengembangan buku ini membantu siswa memahami konsep, materi bahan ajar, artikel, konsep life-based learning, dan aktivitas yang dihadirkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE (analysis, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). Analisis kebutuhan dan kurikulum menjadi awal mengetahui urgensi analisis kebutuhan (need analysis). Analisis kebutuhan siswa di SMKN Darul Ulum menunjukan kebutuhan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar dengan persentase 80%. Pengembangan produk dengan menyusun instrumen pengembangan bahan ajar sesuai analisis kebutuhan sebelumnya. Uji Validitas dilakukan untuk mengetahui bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan instrumen uji validasi ahli materi, validitas media pembelajaran, dan validitas pembelajar lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas maka diperoleh persentase sebagai berikut yakni: validitas materi 99,01%, validitas media 91,04%, dan terakhir validitas pembelajar lapangan 95,52%. Melihat hasil yang ada maka bahan ajar yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti mendapatkan hasil sangat valid dan dapat diimplementasikan. Learning material development in form of electronic module with scientific is solution to optimize student’s scientific thinking process in students. This electronic module development model uses ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation, Evaluation). Scientific approach to suports accounting e-module development is tested to students of grade X Accounting of SMK PGRI 2 Malang. Data type used is qualitative and quantitative. Test design used in scientific approach to suports e-module development is experimental. Data collection technique in this development uses polling. Research data analysis technique uses percentage descriptive technique, while qualitative data in form of critics and suggestion can directly make conclusion. Suports on scientific approach to suports accounting e-module development, from the result, it can be concluded that scientific approach to supports accounting e-module is appropriate and able to improve students learning motivation and result. The research problem is the lack of teaching materials as a coping strategy to manage student stress. This study aims to develop effective teaching materials as a coping strategy to manage stress using the Eduda (Education of Drug Adversity) application. A coping strategy is one of the seven life skills that are trained in the Eduda application. Teaching materials are designed and developed on the Eduda application. The research and development design uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Participants of 29 students who attend SMAN 17 Medan. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and training. Coping strategy teaching materials have passed expert validity from the material and media aspects. After the teaching materials have been successfully developed, training in the use of teaching materials is carried out through the Eduda application. The results show that the teaching materials for coping strategies effectively manage stress in learning during the pandemic. The training achievement supports this finding; as many as 27 (93%) students have achieved excellent managing stress. The implications of this research impact learning modes that must be flexible in technological and pay attention to coping strategies to overcome the adverse effects of learning during a pandemic

Students’ worksheet, as one of learning tools that is used to involve the students to work actively during teaching and learning process, should be developed based on the students’ need. Students’ worksheet with scientific approach in listening skill has not applied. A good student’s worksheet must be satisfied criteria of valid, practical and effective. This research is a developmental research using Research and Development (RnD). It has been conducted on 35 students of SMK Negeri 10 Medan grade X for Multimedia Program. In this study, data obtained from Curriculum syllabus analysis, students’ need analysis and results of validation. Students’ need analysis was done to analyze the students’ perception about the previous learning materials and to know what kind of learning material they need. All of student answer the questionnaire in students’ worksheet in listening skill. From their answers are summarized into questions and answers for students’ worksheet, especially in the listening activity. Keywords: Students’ worksheet, scientific approach, listening skill.
