Recently, the globalization of information system business has expanded all over the world. In order to enhance the service quality of the business, the authors examine adopting the “value in use” concept to a traditional organizational management system based on GDL. Now, they face the improvement problems, which are defined as transformation from GDL-oriented organizational management systems into service-dominant logic-oriented organizational management systems. In this chapter, the authors describe how to transform from the GDL-oriented system into the SDL-oriented management system by using the “value in use” concept, which is deeply related to service value creation.

Virtually every city and region is engaged in activities to improve their relative global competitiveness. The Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the powerful tools of information storage and information access, providing spatial data to different stakeholders and cities across the world. This chapter will highlight the role of GIS technology in empirical assessment of the competition among cities or regions, using a variety of data assembled by many different individuals, businesses, and institutions. This valuable information can be used in decision-making by stakeholders who are taking part in the competition and can be disseminated, accessed, and updated in a dynamic way. This chapter discusses the origins of urban competitiveness, dynamics and functions of competition, and current and future research possibilities made possible by GIS.

Researchers and major computing associations such as the Association of Information Systems (AIS) and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) have invested much effort in the last two decades to shape the information system (IS) curriculum in a way that addresses developments and rapid changes in the IS industry (Gorgone, Gray, Feinstein, Kasper, Luftman, Stohr et al., 2000; Nunamaker, Couger & Davis, 1982). A major objective has been to help overcome the skill shortages that exist in the IS field, a trend that is expected to continue in the years ahead (Gorgone et al., 2000). While there exist a plethora of students joining IS programs around the world (usually for the remunerative promises that goes with an IS degree), students do not seem to gain the kind of knowledge and technical expertise needed to face real-world challenges when they take on positions in the business world. There is, therefore, the need to prepare IS students for real-world challenges by developing their technical and decision-making skills.

The paper deals with the problems of application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of justice. Present day environment facilitates the use of AI in law. Technology has entered the market. As a result, "predicted justice" has become possible. Once an overview of the possible future process is obtained, it is easier for the professional to complete the task-interpretation and final decision-making (negotiations, litigation). It will take a lot of work to bring AI up to this standard. Legal information should be structured to make it not only readable, but also effective for decision-making. "Predicted justice" can help both the parties to the case and the judges in structuring information, and students and teachers seeking relevant information. The development of information technology has led to increased opportunities for "predicted justice" programs. They take advantage of new digital tools. The focus is on two advantages of the programs: a) improving the quality of services provided; b) simultaneously monitoring the operational costs of the justice system. "Predicted justice" provides algorithms for analyzing a huge number of situations in a short time, allowing you to predict the outcome of a dispute or at least assess the chances of success. It helps: choose the right way of defense, the most suitable arguments, estimate the expected amount of compensation, etc. Thus, it is not about justice itself, but only about analytical tools that would make it possible to predict future decisions in disputes similar to those that have been analyzed.

The policy of implementing the B-DiSo (Banyuwangi Digital Society) program is impressed only as an ambition from the leadership, this can be seen from the obstacles in the development of digital friendly-based content, one of which is the application of online SIAP.

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world, including Indonesia, requires taking a stand in preventing wider transmission, including the education sector. In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Culture has taken a firm stance through several circular letters relating to education policies in the emergency period of the spread of Covid-19. The distance learning process is a solution that is not yet optimal in its implementation. There are things that must be considered in this distance learning, among others, the quality of teacher resources must be improved, both in terms of content and methodology as well as in terms of the use of information technology. In addition, students are also less active in participating in this distance learning, both due to an unstable internet network and in terms of providing a limited internet quota. The purpose of writing this article is to study and understand the problems in learning activities during a pandemic, namely distance learning so that students can participate actively and interestingly. This study used a qualitative and observative approach. The results of this study prove that distance learning (PJJ) during the Covid-19 pandemic caused various responses and changes to the learning system that could affect the learning process and the level of development of students in responding to the material presented.

Quality management has evolved throughout time in ways that allowed companies to adapt quality practices and principles into their activities in order to provide better products/services to their customer. The latest trends point to the pivotal role that quality plays in the Industry 4.0 era, where it is expected to synergize with Industry 4.0 practices in order to ensure that not only products are built faster and cheaper but also that they can meet the quality expectations of the customers. This gave birth to the concept of Quality 4.0, a new way of managing quality which uses modern technologies such as: IoT, Blockchain, Big data, AI and sensors in order to gather relevant information, monitor process performance and act preemptively in regard to the quality of the process output. An issue that emerges however, is identifying the relevant data and ways to manage it as this is considered to be a major obstacle in the implementation of Quality 4.0 practices. The research focuses on providing the foundational base for Knowledge management practices of companies looking to embrace Quality 4.0 to ensure that these companies use relevant data in their daily activities.
