Association of protein content in peas with climatic factors was studied on data based on official cultivar trials at six locations in southern Finland in 1978—1985. Correlation and step-wise multiple linear regression methods were used to define the main climatic variables affecting protein content. Correlation studies showed that protein content was significantly and positively associated with temperature sum and mean June temperature and significantly negatively correlated with July precipitation. Regression analysis indicated that climatic factors accounted for 25 %—70 % of the total variation in protein content. Temperature sum and precipitation in July were the most important independent variables explaining protein variation. The role of environmental factors for protein variation and its implications for the improvement of protein content by plant breeding is discussed.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the role of sustainable supply chain management on the performance of state corporations in Kenya.Methodology: This research study adopted a descriptive research design approach. This method is preferred because it allows an in-depth study of the subject. The sample for this study shall comprise 187 state corporations in Kenya. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire whereas secondary data was collected from existing literature. The study involved three types of sampling techniques. Stratified random sampling was used and also simple random sampling after the researcher identifies homogeneity of the population. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistical methods such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentage. Inferential analyses were used in relation to correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the relationship between the four explanatory variables and the explained variable Results and conclusion: The independent variables reported R value of .846 indicating that there is perfect relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. R square value of 0.716 which means that 71.6% of the corresponding variation in performance of the state corporations can be explained or predicted by (environmental sustainability, economical sustainability, social-cultural sustainability and ethical sustainability) which indicated that the model fitted the study data. The results of regression analysis revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between dependent variable and independent variable at (β = 1.240), p=0.00 <0.05).Unique contribution to theory, policy and practice: The findings of the study indicated that environmental sustainability, economical sustainability, social-cultural sustainability and ethical sustainability have a positive relationship with performance of state corporations in Kenya

The Poisson regression analysis is one of the regression methods used for count data and has the assumption of equidispersion. However, it is the overdispersion and then underestimate standard errors will be obtained. If the data are overdispersed and more data is zero then ZIP (Zero Inflated Regression) regression is used. ZIP regression model is more appropriate to be used to analyze the amount of Senior High School/Madrasah Aliyah who do not pass the exam with five independent variables, because a lot of data failure is zero. In this paper, data are overdispersed on Poisson regression, so ZIP regression are used. ZIP regression models obtained are only influenced by the proportion of Senior High School/Madrasah Aliyah classroom were damaged (X3), is and .

<p class="Abstrak"><strong>Abstract:</strong> This quantitative study examined the role of AQ on English proficiency. The four dimensions of AQ named Control (x1), Ownership (x2), Reach (x3) and Endurance (x4) were independent variables while TOEIC score (y) was dependent variable. The subjects were 77 students of ELT Department. The result showed that AQ had influenced 15.9% (R2 = .159) to TOEIC score. There was significant influence of CORE to TOEIC score simultaneously (F&gt;Ftable=3.44&gt;2.33). Nevertheless, the result of partial regression analysis showed only Control (t&gt;ttable=2.89&gt;1.66) had significantly influenced TOEIC. Thus, this research had statistically proven that AQ provided minor contribution to students’ English Proficiency.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian kuantitatif ini menguji pengaruh Kecerdasan Adversiti terhadap kecakapan berbahasa Inggris.

Recent studies reported association of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) with testosterone and vitamin D deficiency. Low testosterone and vitamin D levels have been linked to fatigue and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS). However, the impact of testosterone and vitamin D deficiency on EDS in subjects with SDB remains unknown. The aim of this study was to explore the predictors of EDS in habitual snorers. Role of testosterone, and vitamin D was studied in detail. We also looked for associations between testosterone, vitamin D, and sleep-related indices. We prospectively enrolled 291 consecutive male patients with habitual snoring. Baseline clinical characteristics were recorded on admission. Standard overnight polysomnography was performed to detect SDB, and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) was used to assess EDS. Blood samples were obtained in a fasting condition in the morning after polysomnography to determine levels of testosterone and vitamin D. Respiratory disturbance index (RDI) (95 % CI: 1.004-1.024, p=0.005) and the use of antihistamines (95 % CI: 1.083-11.901, p=0.037) were the only independent variables significantly associated with EDS in binary logistic regression analysis. In linear multiple regression analysis, body mass index (BMI) (Beta=-0.282, p˂0.001) and oxygen desaturation index (Beta=-0.150, p=0.043) were the only independent variables significantly associated with testosterone levels, and BMI (Beta=-0.142, p=0.016) was the only independent variable significantly associated with vitamin D. We failed to find any independent association of testosterone and vitamin D with subjectively rated EDS among habitual snorers. Our results suggest an independent association between the magnitude of nocturnal desaturation and testosterone levels.

The study investigates the factors influencing business continuity during adversities like COVID-19. It further sheds light on priorities for preparedness measures that need to be taken to ensure continuity during these adversities. Exploratory research was conducted in the form of focussed interviews with 20 senior management industry professionals, and these were analyzed using N-Vivo, and four important determinants of business continuity were identified based on which a research model was conceptualized using business continuity as dependent variable and others as independent variables. The model was further tested using quantitative research. For this purpose, a questionnaire was prepared, and a total of 200 responses were collected representing 26 sectors. These responses were analyzed using factor and variance analysis, and a multiple regression analysis was performed to test the role of these variables on business continuity. It was further concluded that the factors that ensure business continuity differ according to the industry in which the business is operating.

This study sought to investigate which of the four predictor variables (Applying Knowledge, Storing Knowledge, Acquiring Knowledge, & Diffusing Knowledge) are most significant in association with Organizational Culture. The instrument used in this study includes five parts that were used to measure the knowledge management processes (knowledge acquisition, storage, diffusion, & application) and organizational culture. The instrument was administered to 77 employees from two of the largest Georgian cities: Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Collected data were analyzed through multiple regression analysis. The analysis was conducted to determine which of the independent variables (Acquiring Knowledge, Storing Knowledge, Diffusing Knowledge, & Applying Knowledge) is significant in predicting the dependent variable (Organizational Culture). Diffusing Knowledge was found to be the only significant variable associated with the Organizational Culture. The analyses were followed by results, discussion, and implication for future research.
