Self-liking  behavior that has become a lifestyle for teenagers who are active users of social media in the technology era has the potential to cause a decrease in learning achievement which is part of the mastery of knowledge over skills from student learning outcomes.However, empirical studies that explore self-adjustment in learning for adolescents with selfie-liking behavior have not been widely studied. In this study, the researchers aimed to determine the causal relationship between selfie-liking and self-adjustment in learning with high school student achievement. Data were collected from 223 (male=29.6%, female=70.4%) samples aged 16-17 years from three public high schools in Aceh Tamiang. The instrument used in this study were selfie-liking scale and self-adjustment in learning scale. The achievement was measured by using report score.The results of the regression analysis showed that there was no significant collective effect between selfie-liking and self-adjustment in learning achievement (R² = 0.017; F(2.220) = 1.942; p = .146). Partial regression showed that individually, self-liking was not significant in predicting learning achievement (β = -, 045; p = .529), while self-adjustment in learning was a significant predictor of learning achievement (β  = ,142; p = . 005). Based on the above research, guidance and counseling teachers are expected to be able to provide preventive counseling services for the effect of excessive selfie like and provide guidance to subject teachers that although students in online learning still display selfie photos, it is not a negative impact on their mental and achievement.

Background: A favourable dose distribution has been described for proton beam therapy (PBT) of anal cancer in dosimetric studies. The relationship between dosimetric parameters in bone marrow and haematologic toxicity, treatment interruptions, and treatment efficacy has also been documented. There are only few references on clinical results of PBT for anal cancer. The primary objective of the retrospective study was to assess the efficacy of pencil beam scanning intensity-modulated proton therapy (PBS IMPT) in the definitive chemoradiotherapy of anal cancer. Secondary objectives were established to identify the risks of acute chronic toxicity risks and to assess colostomy rates. Materials and methods: Patients were treated for biopsy-proven squamous cell cancer (SCC) of the anus at initial or advanced stages. Eligible patients received PBS IMPT at a single institution. Treatment was administered in two volumes: 1—tumour with margins plus involved lymph nodes; 2—regional lymph node groups: perirectal (mesorectal), obturatory, inguinal, internal, external, and common iliac. The total doses of 57.5 GyE and 45 GyE, respectively, were administered in volumes 1 and 2 in 25 fractions, 5 fractions per week, respectively (a simultaneous integrated boost). Concomitant chemotherapy cisplatinum (CDDP) plus 5-FU or CDDP plus capecitabine was administered as per protocol. The treatment effect was assessed using DRE (digital rectal examination) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) within the follow-up period. Toxicity was scaled using CTCAE version 4.0 criteria. Results: 39 of 41 patients treated during the period of February 2014–August 2021 were eligible for analysis. All patients completed treatment, 76.9% without interruption. The median treatment time was 35 days (32–35). The median follow-up period was 30 months, 34 patients are alive to-date, 5 patients died prior to the date of analysis, and 2 deaths were unrelated to the primary disease. The 2-year overall survival, relapse-free survival, and colostomy-free survival were 94.2%, 93.8%, and 91.0%, respectively. Complete regression was achieved in 36 patients (92.3%), partial regression was achieved in 2 (5.1%), and immediate progression at end of treatment occurred in 1 patient (2.6%). Salvage resection was indicated for two patients in partial regression and due to severe chronic dermatologic toxicity. The grade 3 and 4 haematological toxicity rates were 7.7% and 5.1%, respectively. The most frequent non-haematological acute toxicities of grade 3–4 observed were dermatitis (23.1%), diarrhoea (7.7%), and dehydration (7.7%). Chronic toxicity emerged predominantly as skin atrophy/ulceration grade 2 (26.5%) and grade 3–4 (5.8%), and radiation proctitis grade 2 (38.2%) and grade 3 (2.9%). Discussion, conclusions: This single-institution study showed the high efficacy of PBS IMPT, achieving a high rate of complete regression. The haematological acute toxicity of grade 3–4 remained low; however, the impact of altered chemotherapy (CDDP instead of mitomycin C) remains unclear. The incidence of other acute toxicities shares similarity with photon therapy investigated in large studies. The acute toxicity completely resolved in all patients, had no lethal outcomes, and never resulted in the necessity for colostomy. By contrast, it was chronic toxicity, skin ulceration, perirectal fistulation, and fibrosis that resulted in salvage surgery and/or the need for a colostomy. A challenging question remains: to what extent can PBT prevent chronic toxicity? Longer follow-up remains necessary.

Curvilinear technique has been applied to rice crop in Bhandara district (Maharashtra) to examine effects of rainfall, maximum temperature and relative humidity. Partial regression curves for estimating the rice yield by taking into account the .combined effect of these three factors have been worked out. It is observed that during the period of active growth rainfall is the most significant factor followed by maximum temperature and relative humidity in that order. The optimum value of total rainfall during the active growth phase was found as 1000 mm and those for maximum temperature and relative humidity as 30.5° C and 81% respectively.

AbstractCongenital brain stem gliomas are rare in neonates and are difficult to diagnose given their subtle clinical presentation. They are usually associated with poor prognosis by their location and behavior. However, there are few reports of spontaneous regression of brain stem glioma with favorable long-term outcome. In this article, we reported a case of congenital brain stem glioma with a normal long-term outcome where a wait and watch approach allowed observation of spontaneous partial regression of the tumor with normal neurodevelopmental outcome at 40 months of age. The optimal approach to the management of children with brain stem glioma is difficult to define as, in general, the prognosis is considered poor. Selecting an “early intervention” or “wait and watch” approach depends on the nature, size, and progression of the lesion, and the risk versus benefits of early intervention. The clinical course of our case suggests that a conservative approach may be justified in selected cases as long as the parents have been counselled and regular frequent follow-up is assured.

(1) Background: Anemia has comprehensive adverse effects on the growth and development of children. In this study, we analyzed the potential effects of different types of anemia on early-life neurobehavioral development. (2) Methods: A total of 2601 children aged 6–24 months, whose parents agreed to participate in this study, underwent routine blood tests and neurobehavioral development assessment. The children’s parents or other primary caregivers were interviewed with a face-to-face questionnaire at the time of enrollment in the study. Anemia was determined by hemoglobin < 110 g/L and classified into iron-deficiency and non-iron-deficiency anemia according to the levels of serum ferritin, C-reactive protein, and alpha-1-acid glycoprotein. Neurobehavioral development was assessed by the China Developmental Scale for Children and divided into five domains: gross motor, fine movement, adaptability, language, and social behavior. The development quotient (DQ) was used to measure the level of total neurobehavioral development and each domain of neurobehavioral development. (3) Results: The prevalence of anemia in children aged 6–24 months was 26.45%, of which iron-deficiency anemia only accounted for 27.33%. Compared with children without anemia, those with iron-deficiency anemia had a significantly lower developmental quotient (DQ) for total neurobehavioral development and gross motor and adaptability development. The partial regression coefficients were −1.33 (95% CI −2.36, −0.29; p = 0.012), −1.88 (95% CI −3.74, −0.03; p = 0.047), and 1.48 (95% CI −2.92, −0.05; p = 0.042), respectively. Children with non-iron-deficiency anemia had significantly lower DQ for total neurobehavioral development and gross motor and fine movement development than those without anemia. The partial regression coefficients were −0.94 (95% CI −1.64, −0.25; p = 0.008), −1.25 (95% CI −2.48, −0.03; p = 0.044), and −1.18 (95% CI −2.15, −0.21; p = 0.017), respectively. There were no statistically significant differences in total neurobehavioral development and the five domains of neurobehavioral development between children with non-iron-deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia. The partial β values were 0.40 (95% CI −1.53, 2.33; p = 0.684), 0.21 (95% CI −1.39, 1.81; p = 0.795), 0.63 (95% CI −1.03, 2.28; p = 0.457), 0.16 (95% CI −1.78, 2.10; p = 0.871), 0.35 (95% CI −1.32, 2.01; p = 0.684), and 0.34 (95% CI −0.77, 1.46; p = 0.545), respectively. (4) Conclusions: Both iron-deficiency anemia and non-iron-deficiency anemia were negatively correlated with the neurobehavioral development of children. Negative correlations were found between iron-deficiency anemia and gross motor and adaptability development and between non-iron-deficiency anemia and gross motor and fine movement development.

The purpose of this study is to explain the influence of natural tourist attractions (attractions, amenity, accessibility) on the performance of nature-based tourism businesses. The unit of analysis of this study was 207 tourists visiting Hutan Mangrove Pantai Baros Bantul, Hutan Mangrove Wana Tirta, Pantai Pasir Kadilangu, dan Hutan Mangrove Jembatan Api-Api Temon Kulonprogo taken by incidental sampling technique. the data was collected by a questionnaire validated with part-whole and Cronbach alpha. Normality and multicollinearity tests were used to test the feasibility of variables as a condition for the use of partial regression analysis. The findings of this study show the long-term impact of satisfaction and a significant revisit on the absorption of labour and income of local communities as an important of the business performance of nature-based tourism.

Material and methods. The study included 16 patients (31 eyes). Types and terms of treatment. Stage I in the treatment of ROP, laser coagulation of the avascular areas of the retina was performed in three patients with aggressive posterior ROP (4 eyes, 12.9%). In all patients, the progression of the disease was noted. Intravitreal injection of ranibizumab was performed in the period from 8 to 16 weeks (10.5±2.0 weeks), PCV from 32.3 to 39.6 weeks (37.0±1.8 weeks). Result. After laser treatment and IVI of ranibizumab, 11 patients (31 eyes, 81.6%) showed regression of the disease. In 5 patients (6 eyes, 19.4%) - progression. If the ROP progressed, a 25G or 27G lenssparing vitrectomy was performed. Complete regression of ROP was achieved in one patient (1 eye, 16.7%). Partial regression was observed in two patients (2 eyes, 33.3%). In two patients (3 eyes, 50%), the disease progressed to stage 5 with the development of total retinal detachment. Conclusion. As a result of the complex treatment of severe forms of the active stage of retinopathy of prematurity in the regional children's ophthalmological center MKMC "Bonum" in Yekaterinburg, the following data were obtained: complete regression with retinal adhesion is observed in 12 patients (26 eyes, 83.4%), of which in one patient (1 eye, 3.2%) regression was achieved after vitrectomy. Partial regression with the formation of a peripheral retinal detachment after vitrectomy was achieved in two patients (two eyes - 6.5%). Progression of retinopathy of prematurity to stage V with the development of total retinal detachment in two patients (3 eyes, 9.6%). Complex treatment of severe stages of active ROP using laser treatment, IVI and vitrectomy allows to preserve vision in 90.4% of patients. Abstract Background: Depression is highly prevalent and causes a heavy burden in adolescent life. Being praised for prosocial behavior might be a preventive factor because both being praised and prosocial behavior are protective against depression. Here, we investigated the longitudinal relationship between being praised for prosocial behavior and depressive symptoms in adolescents. Methods: In Tokyo Teen Cohort study (TTC), an ongoing prospective population-based cohort study, we collected 3,171 adolescents’ data on self-reported experiences of being praised for prosocial behavior, depressive symptoms, and caregiver-evaluated prosocial behavior. Ten-year-old children were asked to freely describe answers to the question “What are you praised for?”. Only children who clearly answered that they were praised for their prosocial behavior were designated the “prosocial praise group”. The degree of depression at ages 10 and 12 was measured with the Short Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (SMFQ), a self-report questionnaire about depression. Objective prosocial behavior of the 10-year-old children was assessed by the Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire (SDQ). Multiple linear regression analysis was performed using the SMFQ score at age 12 as the objective variable and being praised for prosocial behavior as the main explanatory variable, and the SMFQ score at age 10 and the objective prosocial behavior at age 10 were included as confounders.Results: Depressive symptoms (SMFQ scores) in the “prosocial praise group” were significantly lower than those in the other group both at age 10 (4.3 ± 4.4 vs 4.9 ± 4.6, p <0.001) and at age (3.4 ± 4.2 vs 4.0 ± 4.6, p <0.01). In the single regression analysis, the children who reported being praised for prosocial behavior at age 10 had significantly lower depressive symptoms at age 12 (partial regression variable: -0.57, 95% confidence interval (CI) [-0.96, -0.17]). This association remained significant after adjusting for confounders, including baseline depressive symptoms (partial regression variable: -0.44, 95% CI [-0.80, -0.08]). Prosocial behavior alone was not associated with depressive symptoms. Conclusions: Being praised for prosocial behavior rather than objective prosocial behavior at 10 years of age predicted lower depressive symptoms two years later. Praise for adolescents’ prosocial behavior can be encouraged to prevent depression.
