Education is a process that students can use to develop their own potential.This was a descriptive comparative research which applied quantitative method. The essence of education is learning. There is no education without learning activities. Student learning motivation is influenced by the cultural background. By Slovin formula followed by simple random sampling technique, 200 students were choosen as the sample at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar in Academic Year 2015/2016. The data gathered were analyzed by using descriptive statistic and MANOVA (multivariate analysis of variance). The result of the research indicated that: The students' learning motivation with Malaynese cultural backgrounds are in the high category; The students' learning motivation with Javanese cultural backgrounds are are in very high category; and There is no significance different attention of parents between  with Malaynese and Javanese cultural backgrounds, while there are siginificant differences in learning motivation. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan seberapa besar hubungan kecerdasan emoisonal, kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA di Kecamatan Ternate Tengah tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Total populasi penelitian sebanyak 322 peserta didik dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 181 peserta didik. Teknik penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan disproportionate stratified cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan tes. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebagian besar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA di  Kecamatan Ternate Tengah memiliki kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar pada kategori sangat tinggi, motivasi belajar berada pada kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar berada pada kategori sangat rendah, (2) kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar, dan motivasi belajar masing–masing  memiliki hubungan positif dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, (3) terdapat hubungan postif antara kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, serta kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, dan (4) terdapat hubungan linear antara kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar secara bersama–sama dengan hasil belajar peserta didik.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar.ABSTRACTThe study is ex-post factor which aims at discovering the extent of correlation of emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation on learning result of Grade XI IPA students at SMA (senior high school) in Ternate Tengah subsdistrict of academic year 2017/2018. The total population was 322 students with 181 samples. Samples were obtained by employing disproportionate stratified cluster random sampling. Data were obtained by employing instruments of questionnaire and test. Data were analyzed by using SPSS software. The result of the study reveal that (1) most of the students of grade XI IPA at SMA in Ternate Tengah subdistrict had emotional intelligence and learning discipline in very high category, learning motivation in high and very high category; whereas, the learning result is in very low category, (2) the emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation each had positive correlation with students learning result, (3) there is positive correlation between emotional intelligence and learning discipline; emotional intelligence and learning motivation on learning result; and learning discipline and learning motivation on learning result, (4) there is linear correlation between emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation collaboratively on syudents learning result. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Discipline, Learning Motivation, Learning Achievement.

The purpose of this study was to determine the responses of PAUD teachers in East Ciputat sub-district regarding the effect of reward on learning motivation and socio-emotional development of early childhood. The method used is descriptive quantitative with survey techniques, using a questionnaire (questionnaire) using the google form application. Questionnaires (questionnaires) are given to respondents online via WhatsApp, then the collected data will be analyzed. The study population was kindergarten teachers in East Ciputat District, and the number of respondents was 100 people with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. From the data obtained, as many as 80% of respondents answered that they often gave rewards in the form of good words, namely: good, true, great, cool and smart to children. In addition, as many as 65% of respondents answered that very often they gave an assessment with a thumbs up, clapping and smiling. It is known that the results of the respondent's answer who gave an assessment in the form of a sticker or stamp were 70%. Meanwhile, 72% of respondents answered very often that motivation creates a desire to learn in school children. So motivation which serves as a driving force significantly influences learning attitudes in children. Furthermore, 67% of respondents answered that very often children do learning activities with all their soul and body (willing / not forced, happy, sincere). So based on the theory and the results of the respondents' answers, it can be concluded that motivation is the driving force of the desire to learn in children.

The aims of this study is to describe the ability of scientific literacy of students in Adiwiyata’s school on three aspects, they are content, context, and attitude. The importance of having scientific literacy is one of the competencies must be possessed in 21st century education. Adiwiyata School is one of the concrete steps of the government to instill the principles and competences of scientific literacy. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The research sample was taken using simple random sampling technique. The data collection was carried out by distributing questions and questionnaires to students in Adiwiyata School. Then, the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics by referring to categorization norms. The results showed that the scientific literacy ability of elementary school students in Adiwiyata School was in the high category. Furthermore, the ability of scientific literacy aspects of attitudes in Adiwiyata school students is in the high category namely X> 53.6. While the ability of scientific literacy in the aspect of content included in the category is quite low. The acquisition of scientific literacy skills in students at Adiwiyata school is believed to be influenced by the characteristics of the school in internalizing the values of science in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Sekolah Adiwiyata menjadi salah satu langkah konkrit pemerintah untuk menanamkan prinsip dan kompetensi literasi sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan soal dan kuesioner kepada siswa di Sekolah Adiwiyata. Kemudian, data di analisis dengan menggunakan Statistik Deskriptif dengan merujuk pada norma kategorisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar di Sekolah Adiwiyata berada pada kategori tinggi. Selanjutnya, kemampuan literasi sains aspek sikap pada siswa sekolah Adiwiyata berada pada kategori tinggi yakni X > 53,6. Sedangkan kemampuan literasi sains pada aspek konten termasuk dalam kategori cukup rendah. Pemerolehan kemampuan literasi sains pada siswa di sekolah Adiwiyata diyakini dipengaruhi oleh ke-khas-an sekolah dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai sains dalam aktivitas belajar mengajar di kelas.Kata kunci: adiwiyata, literasi sains, konten, konteks, sikap

This thesis was concerned with the inquiry on the correlations among learning motivation, self-confidence, and writing ability of the seventh grade students at State Junior High School of Lubai Ulu Sub-District of Muaraenim Regency. The problem of the study was to investigate the correlation among students’ learning motivation, self-confidence, and writing ability. The total number of the population were 474 students. The sample for this study was 83 students taken through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by adopting a questionnaire for learning motivation, self-confidence, and test for writing ability. Data were analyzed by using r-Product Moment and Multiple Regression. Finding showed that: (1) there was significant correlation between learning motivation and writing ability; (2) there was not any significant correlation between self-confidence and writing ability; (3) there was not any significant correlation between learning motivation and self-confidence; (4) there were significant correlations among learning motivation, self-confidence, and writing ability of seventh grade-students at state Junior High School of Lubai Ulu Muaraenim.

This research is purposed to reveal the contribution oflearning motivation and laboratory facilities of the subjectslearning outcomes Perform Computer Maintenance Class Xstudent of Computer Engineering and Networks SMK Negeri 8Padang. The research is a descriptive correlational . The researchpopulation numbered is 59 people and sample totaled 37 studentsof class X Computer Engineering and Networks SMK Negeri 8Padang Academic Year 2012/2013.Using Technique of randomsampling ( Simple random sampling ) . and Data collection usingquestionnaires and documentation . Data were analyzed usingPearson product moment correlation and multiple correlation foranalysis . The results of data analysis showed : ( 1 ) learningmotivation to contribute 25.16 % of the learning outcomes ofstudents of SMK Negeri 8 Padang Academic Year 2012/2013 ,(2) laboratory facilities accounted for 19.82 % of the learningoutcomes of students of SMK Negeri 8 Champaign AcademicYear 2012/2013 , (3) Learning Motivation and Labor facilitiestogether accounted for 27.84 % of the learning outcomes ofstudents of SMK Negeri 8 Padang Academic Year 2012/2013 . Soit can be concluded that the motivation to learn and laboratoryfacilities contribute to the learning outcomes , the higher thestudents' motivation in the learning process and the betterutilization of laboratory facilities , the learning outcomes will behigher.

The purposes of this research were (1) descriptively that to find out considers discipline of students, learning motivation, and  learning method (2) correlationally which was to know relationship among discipline of students, learning motivation, and learning method with students mathematic achievement to eight grade student’s of Junior High School in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year. This research is ex post facto. The population of this research was all students of class VIII in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year with sample size was 112 students. The sampling technique use was cluster random sampling. The techniques of collecting data use questionnaire and test. The techniques of analyzing data applied were regression and correlation analysis. Before that, the testing of precondition analysis used which normality, linearity, multicolinierity analyses. The result of research shows descriptively it considers discipline of students in very high category, considers learning motivation in high category, considers learning method in high category, considers students mathematic achievement in high category. While correlatively that there were positive relationship and significant among discipline of students, learning motivation, learning method with students mathematic achievement with grouply or separately

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that all parents want their children's education to be good, so they pay attention and optimize for his child's education. The existence of this need then humans are encouraged to fulfill it. This impulse is called motivation. In this case, of course the role of motivation is very important. How teachers make efforts to be able to grow and give motivation so students do good learning activities. The purpose of this study is (1) To find out whether there is an influence of learning motivation on student achievement in SMA 2 BURU. (2) To find out how much influence the motivation of learning on student achievement in SMA 2 BURU. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The population is at BURU 2 Senior High School, totaling 220 students. using purposive random sampling technique. The sample was 79 students. Research methods using questionnaire and documentation. All instruments have met the requirements as a measurement requirement, because they have tested so that it meets the validity test requirements using product correlation and reliability using Cronbach alpha, and has passed the test precondition. Data analysis using T-test and a large percentage of the influence using the coefficient of determination Adjuster R Square. The results showed that (1) there was a significant effect of Learning Motivation on Learning Achievement evidenced from the value of Tcount> Ttable namely 3.731> 1.9915 and Sig <0.05, namely 0.000 <0.05 (with a level of 5%). (2) The magnitude of the influence of the Adjusted R square determination coefficient of 35.9% so that the effect of learning motivation (X), on learning achievement (Y) is weak positive means that if the variable X rises then the variable Y does not rise weakly or together all variables will rise significantly and the remaining 65.1% is explained by other variables outside the variables used.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa tentang layanan bimbingan karir dengan kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir. Jenis penelitian menggunakan desain korelasional dengan sampel 37 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir dan skala persepsi siswa tentang layanan bimbingan karir yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir berkategori tinggi (M= 188,14) dan persepsi siswa tentang layanan bimbingan karir berkategori sangat tinggi (M=194,32). Koefisien korelasi memperoleh hasil (R=0,620) dalam kategori kuat/tinggi, kontribusi besarnya pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang layanan bimbingan karir dengan kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir sebesar (R²=0,385), dan nilai signifikansi (p=0,000). Jadi, apabila persepsi siswa tentang layanan bimbingan karir baik/positif maka kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir juga akan tinggi. Implikasi bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling perlu memberikan layanan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa untuk  membantu meningkatkan  kemandirian siswa dalam merencanakan karir   The study aims to discover the relationship between students’ perception about career guidance services  and students’ independency in planning career. This research used correlational design with 37 samples of students taken using Simple Random Sampling method. The data collection method uses the scale of students’ independency in career planning and students’ perception scale about career guidance services which analyzed using descriptive statistical and regression analysis method. The results show that students’ independency in planning career is high category (M= 188,14) and students’ perception about career guidance services is very high category (M=194,32). The correlation coefficient obtained results (R = 0.620) in the strong / high category, the contribution to the influence of students’ perception on the career guidance services with students’ independency in career planning is (R² = 0,385), and the significance value is (p = 0,000). Therefore, when the students' perceptions about career guidance services is good/positive then the independency of students in career planning will also be high. The Guidance and counseling teachers need to provide services that approppriate to the needs of students to improve students' independency in planning career.

<p>Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan perilaku menunda-nunda mengerjakan ataupun menyelesaikan tugas-tugas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran mengenai prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat pengumpul data berupa skala prokrastinasi akademik. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiwa prodi BK sejumlah 229 mahasiswa yang di ambil dengan cara <em>simple random sampling</em>. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menggambarkan kondisi prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa pada kategori sangat tinggi sebesar 6%, kategori tinggi 81%, kategori sedang 13%, kategori rendah 0%. Prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa tersebut terdiri dari beberapa aspek antara lain keyakinan akan kemampuan, ganggaun perhatian, faktor sosial, manajemen waktu, inisiatif, pribadi, dan kemalasan.<br /><br /></p><p><strong>Abstract</strong><br />Academic procrastination is a procrastinating behavior of doing or completing academic tasks. This study aims to provide an overview of the academic procrastination experienced by students. This research is a descriptive research with quantitative approach. This study uses data collection tool in the form of academic procrastination scales. The subjects used in this study are students of guidance and counseling program of 229 students taken by simple random sampling. Data analysis in this research using percentage technique. The results obtained in this study describes the condition of student academic procrastination in very high category of 6%, high category 81%, medium category 13%, low category 0%. The academic procrastination experienced by the student consists of several aspects such as belief in ability, attention disturbance, social factors, time management, initiative, personal, and laziness.</p>

This study is generally attempted to find the correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their performance in speaking skill at the second grade of SMPN 18 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018 .The method of the research applied is correlation research (explanatory design). The population of this research consist of three clasess of SMPN 18 Mataram  which number 59 population and the  sample of the study is 52 students. The sample technique used in this research is simple random sampling technique by using slovin formula. Based on the result of the study, there was correlation between self-efficacy and their performance in speaking skill in which r-test (0,80) > r-table (0,268), its means the value of r-test was higher than r-table. From the research data it was found out that there was significant correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their performance in speaking skill. This was proved by the t-test score (7,957) was higher than t-table (1,675) the degree of freedom (df) was used 50. It can be concluded that self-efficacy and their performance in speaking skill has significant correlation at the second grade students of SMPN 18 Mataram. Finally, the researcher suggests that should be more creative to make students self-efficacy increased in using media or strategy that students do not feel bored in the class.
