This research aimed to describe students’ activities, the improvement differences of students' critical thinking skills, and explain students' responses toward the internalization of religious values using the Argument-Driven Inquiry model on reproductive system material at eleventh-grade students of MAN 1 Kuningan. The method used in this research was the quantitative method with the experimental pretest-posttest control group design. This research population was all eleventh-grade students of MAN 1 Kuningan, which consisted of eight classes, five science classes, and three social studies classes. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique. This research sample was class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class (35 students) and XI IPA 3 as the control class (34 students). The data collection techniques employed were observation, tests, and questionnaires. The data was analyzed using SPSS v.25 software. The results obtained showed that the highest learning activity was at the data collection stage. There was an improvement in students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class and the control class. The average N-Gain of the experimental class was 0.69, and the control class was 0.33. The sig statistical test results were 0.000 0.655, meaning that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, there was a significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills between the experimental and control classes.

The study aims to determine the influence of the use of POE-based worksheets against the learners ' critical thinking ability on impulse and momentum material. This study was conducted in one of the state high schools in Bandarlampung, in the even semester of the school year, 2019/2020. The Research Population is all students of class X MIA. The design of this research uses the Non-Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. This study uses a purposive sampling technique with X-grade samples MIA3 amounted to 36 learners as experimental classes and X-grade MIA4 numbered 36 students as control classes have relatively the same initial skills before the researcher performs the treatment. The results of the Independent sample T-Test show POE-based Worksheets on impulse and momentum material have a significant effect on learners ' critical thinking skills. Classes using the worksheets POE learning model showed higher critical thinking abilities with an average of N-Gain 0.70 versus a control class not exposed to the worksheets model Predict-Observe-Explaindengan N-Gain 0.60. This suggests that the use of POE-based worksheets in this research considerably influences learners ' critical thinking skills. The learning process only focuses on the material by memorizing concepts, students do not use LKPD to do practical work optimally, so the biology learning process in schools does not encourage students to practice critical thinking skills. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills by using the PBL learning model combined with STEM-based worksheets on environmental pollution conceptin class 10th SMA Negeri Bireuen district. The approach used is experimental design, the method used is quasi-experimental, with a pretest-posttest design non-equivalent control group design. Population in class 10th IPA SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Peusangan designed 252 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The research sample was 140 students. The number of samples in the experimental class was 71 people and 69 people in the control class. The instrument used was a reasoned multiple choice question accompanied by a rubric. The data analysis used was n-gain and independent t-test. The results showed that the critical thinking skills obtained was 0.93, with an increase in class critical thinking skills including the high category. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained Sig. (0,000) α (0.05) then Ha is accepted, so it is suggested that there are differences in the critical thinking skills of students between the experimental class and the control class on environmental pollution material in class X SMAN Bireuen. The implementation of PBL learning model combined with STEM-based LKPD can improve students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material in class 10th SMA Negeri Bireuen Regency.

This research aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning using puzzle media on students' critical thinking. The study population was all grade VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung totaling 192 people. The research sample was students from 2 classes, namely class VII D and VII F who were selected from the population by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a pretest-posttest sheet. The design used is the nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis used t-test with a significance of 5%. The results showed a sig significance value. (2-tailed) 0.13 <0.05, which means that the n-Gain mean of critical thinking learning outcomes of students between the experimental class and the control class is significantly different. Thus, it is known that the problem-based learning model using puzzle media can affect the critical thinking skills of students.

This study aimed to describe the effect of problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post test control group design. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique in which the experimental class consisted of 35 students and the control class was 34 students. Data on critical thinking skills and student scientific literacy were collected using test instruments which were then analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the Problem-based Learning model had more effect on students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy (p <0.05) than conventional learning models applied to the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Problem-based Learning model significantly effect on students’ critical thinking and science literacy in class XI MAN 1 Mataram.

The broad scope of biology and the many sources of biology reading requires eleven grade students to think critically about sorting out information to develop and support students' critical thinking skills. CirGi is an integration of the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model and guided inquiry (GI) that emphasizes reading and writing activities, accompanied by guidance from the teacher. This study aimed to analyze the influence of CirGi's learning model on students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a quasi-experiment method with pre-post control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely 104 high school students. Data collection was carried out using instruments of critical thinking skills in the form of essays, questionnaire responses of students to learning, and observation sheets of syntax implementation. The data analysis technique used was one-way ANCOVA. After controlling for the pretest scores, the CirGi learning model's influence on students' critical thinking skills was influenced. This learning model was appropriate for learning biology, so it can regrow the activities of reading science books that impact students' critical thinking skills.

This study aims to determine the effect of PhET-assisted problem solving methods on students' critical thinking skills. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest posttest control group design. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique, namely class XI IPA-1 as the experimental class and XI IPA-2 as the control class. The research was conducted in one of the senior high schools in Central Lombok – West Nusa Tenggara. The data analysis technique used is t-test using SPSS. The result of hypothesis testing is that the t-test value is less than 0.05. These results indicate that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the PhET-assisted problem solving learning method affects students' critical thinking skills.

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities through problem solving methods. This study was hold at MAN 3 Bireuen (High School Level) in the 2019/2020 school’s year. The research method was a quasi-experimental study design nonrandomized Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The population of the study were all students of Class XI MAN 3 Bireuen with purposive sampling technique. The study sample was to 30 students for the experimental class and 28 students for the control class. The skill increasing was calculated using normalized gain. Data were analyzed using the t test. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills mathematically taught through problem solving methods is better than students mathematical critical thinking skills taught through conventional learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the inquiry type CTL learning model on critical thinking skills. The population in this study were eighth grade students of MTs. Al-Asy’ariyah Bandar Lampung Year 2015/2016. The research method used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design. The research design used in this quasi-experimental was the pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique is random sampling. The sample in this study consisted of two classes namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of tests to measure students' critical thinking skills and observations to observe behaviors that arise in students according to indicators of critical thinking skills. The results of hypothesis testing obtained thitung = 5.78, while ttabel at a significance level of 5% by 2.00, it can be said that thitung > ttabel. This shows that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the inquiry type CTL learning model on students' critical thinking abilities.

This study aimed to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities through the application of edmodo's assisted discovery learning model. The study was conducted on students of class XI MIPA 2 high school 2018/2019. This study used a true experimental design in the form of a pre-test and post-test control group design. Sampling was done by a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection used reasoned multiple choice test instruments and questionnaires. The result of test analysis of students' critical thinking skills showed that the average post-test value of the experimental class was lower than the control class. The N-gain test result showed that the magnitude of the increasing of the experimental class was 0.43 lower than the control class which is equal to 0.57. The application of edmodo assisted discovery learning model had a positive effect on students' critical thinking abilities with a low category as indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0.37 and the magnitude of the influence given is 14.08%. The conclusion of this study is the application of edmodo assisted discovery learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, students agree to use edmodo's assisted discovery learning model for acid base learning.

<em>Project Based Learning is a learning model that need collaboration from group member in each stage, so that students can develop their critical thinking skills. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of PjBL to students’ critical thinking skills on electrochemistry material.  The research design used true experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design and sampling technique is cluster random sampling. The data collection techniques used pretest-posttest to understand 10 critical thinking indicators, observation sheet used to understand students’ project activities and questionnaire to know students’s responses. Data Analysis techniques that used in this study are average difference test, significant test, product moment correlation test, coefficient of determination test. Analysis of product moment correlation value is 0,67 for students’ critical thinking skill with significant test result is 7,10 indicate the significant effect of PjBL to students’ critical thingking skills on electrochemistry material. The effect of PjBL to students’ critical thinking skills pointed by coefficient of determination  44,89%. Based on the results of the study, it was conclude that PjBL had positive effects on students’ critical thinking skills on electrochemistry material.</em>
