The Semantic Field of Ngethok 'to Cut' and Sociocultural Factors in Javanese Society: Sociosemantic Study

This research is motivated by the decreasing awareness of some people towards the preservation of the Javanese language, especially the younger generation. In their daily communication, some of them do not speak Javanese but speak Indonesian. In fact, in Javanese, there is a complex and complete lexicon that can express livelihoods, such as farming. At this time, these activities are starting to be abandoned due to technological developments and changing mindsets. This study aims to find and explain the semantic components of the lexicon of the verb ngethok [ngǝthͻ?] 'to cut' and its lexemes and socio-cultural factors contained in the meaning of each lexeme. This research used a qualitative descriptive method and sociosemantic approach. The data was taken in the Borobudur area, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. Data collection was carried out by interviewing, recording, and taking notes. In this study, three informants were used. The results of this study indicate that the lexicon of the verb ngethok 'to cut' has fifteen lexemes, namely mancung, mapras, mbabat, mbacok, mlathok, munthes, ngarit, nugel, nggraji, nggunting, ngiris, nyacah, nyembeleh, nyeset, and nyigar. Each lexeme has different lexical meanings. The socio-cultural factors of the community that are revealed in the ngethok ‘to cut’ lexicon and its lexemes are people who live in villages and work as farmers, people who work using traditional tools, people have a simple mindset and a strong spirit of mutual cooperation, and people help selflessly.

ABSTRACT This study discusses the meaning of the text meudikee anggok seen from the concept bildung and sensus communis gadamer. Aims to describe the meaning of meudikee anggoktext of wisdom seen from the concept of bildung and sensus communis according to gadamer. Theories used are text theory and hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is a theory used to interpret. Seen from the concept of bildung is the form and sensus communis namely the true feeling and common good in society as the owner of the ritual. The time of the research was conducted in july until the mont of september 2017. Place of research in infant village, sub district wide area of nort Aceh regency. Population of artists, public figures and children dzikir which amounted to 180. The research sample is a child dzikir 20 people. Leadershipand tengku amounted to 2 people and geuchik baby village so that the sample amounted to 23 people. Data collection techniques include observation, interview, literature study, documentation and then analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Based on reasearch that has been done meaning meudikee text seen from the concept of bildung and sensus communis. On the concept of bildung in the form of motion, chanting dzikir and clothing. On the sensus communis concept of community agreement the meaning contained in the motion of whether to surrender, plead, salute, appreciate, sincere, passion, agree, protect, tought ad ask. The meaning contained in chanting dzikir is honor, glorify, pray, begged, apologize, sacrifice, struggle, love, loyalty, ask for blessings and hope. The meaning contained in clothing is clean, holy, strength, death, firmness, decency, cover of aurat. Where the text contained in the concept of the sensus communis can be seen from the deliberation in planning the implementation of activities that contain the meaning of cooperation, cohesivenees and respect. People work together to prepare meunasah and food to be brought to the meunasah. As for its meaning is sincare, give each other, mutual cooperation, happy, spirit and joy. The fishing port has an important role in supporting activities in the fishery sector which includes serving as a place of preparation, and where to land catches as well as market them. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the level of facilities utilization at CFP Bajomulyo using SOAR and assign the development strategy. The research was carried out in January 2021 at the Coastal fishing port in Bajomulyo Village, Juwana District, Pati Regency. A descriptive method was used to analyze the condition of basic, functional and supporting facilities at CFP Bajomulyo. Data collection was carried out using survey methods and direct observations. The result showed 116% of the pier has been used (overutilized), 26% of the FAP building has been used (non-optimally), 36% of the shipping lane’s depth has been used, meaning the depth is sufficient or in accordance with the required standard, and 49% of its width has been used (non-optimally). Conclusively, the development strategies suggested include making an MoU between the government of Pati Regency and Central Java Province and always considering the availability of FRS facilities, ice factories, clean water, and ship docking around CFP Bajomulyo.Keywords:Development strategyPatiCFP BajomulyoSOAR

This article examines the hybrid model of mail handling carried out by the Archives and Libraries of Central Java Province. Management using the e-Surat application was developed to facilitate the management and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, besides that there is also a reference for uniformity in managing incoming and outgoing mail automatically. Despite utilizing the e-Surat application in mail handling. Dinarpus Central Java still carries out conventional mail management activities such as receiving, checking, disposing and signatures. Analytical descriptive method is used in describing the object being studied. Data collection used three methods, namely, participatory observation, interviews and literature study. Participatory observation was carried out through direct observation and practice of letter handling activities at Dinarpus Central Java. Interviews aim to obtain information through sources who are directly involved in mail handling activities using the e-Surat application. Literature study is a technique of collecting data from various library materials to strengthen the analysis and exposure conducted by the author. The use of e-Surat applications in management activities at Dinarpus Central Java is a hybrid model of letter management that combines electronic and conventional letter management. The e-Mail application has a significant impact on the smooth running of mail management activities, both in handling incoming and outgoing mail. This shows that the features contained in the e-Surat application have not been fully used because they are still constrained by regulations on the development stage being carried out by Dinarpus Central Java.

Describe the implementation of the fingerprint electronic absence policy on the discipline and performance of civil servants as well as the impact it has on implementing the fingerprint electronic absence policy. Qualitative descriptive method describes various conditions and situations as the object of research. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and interviews. After the implementation of fingerprint electronic attendance, discipline increases and obligations as employees have been carried out in accordance with applicable regulations. The application of sanctions in the regional government of seluma regency is in accordance with the regulations of civil servants and the provision of rewards for employees who excel has been carried out properly, to inspire other employees, so that they can work better.

The aim of this study is to analyze the index Location Quotient of ginger, kencur, turmeric and galangal; to analyze the value of the growth component of ginger, kencur, turmeric and galangal; to analyze the types of medicinal plants is a priority for development in Central Java. This research uses descriptive method with secondary data sources coming from the Badan Pusat Statistik. In this study analyzed the competitiveness of the four regions, namely medicinal plant ginger, kencur, turmeric and galangal. The results showed Ginger has LQ <1 while kencur, turmeric and galangal has LQ> 1. Ginger has a value component of positive growth while kencur, turmeric and galangal has a negative value. Ginger has a value of share growth component negative territory while kencur, turmeric and galangal has a positive value. Kencur, turmeric and galangal is a commodity that is becoming a priority for development in Central Java Province.

This study was conducted to determine the imposition of a progressive tax rate on motor vehicle taxes based on The Four Maxims in Pasaman Barat Regency, Sumatra Barat. The method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive method. The type of data used in this study was primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation. The purpose of this study was to determine how to impose a progressive tax rate on motorized vehicle tax based on four principles of tax collection. The results show that the tax principle as still appropriate and relevant to be applied, namely the principles of tax collection proposed by Adam Smith, which are equality, legal certainty, the convenience of payment, and principles efficiency (economic of collection).

The resources of Customary Forest play an important role for Talang Mamak Indigenous People to survive. The exploitation of the forest by private company and investor has caused a violent conflict. The situation of the indigenous people becomes worsen since local government does not fully protect their rights on the forest. Even, Local government tends to defend private company and investor in addressing the conflict. Customary forest of Talang Mamak indigenous people is in the oligarchs grip and conflict of interest with their elder. The Indigenous people are in crossroad, to preserve or to release their heritage and right. This study aims to determine the efforts of Talang Mamak Indigenous People to maintain their existence in the customary forest resources battle with private company and investor. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The data collection were documentation analysis and other relevant literature. This study used Theory of Oligarchy (Winters 2011) as grounded theory. The result found that the efforts of the indigenous people to fight for their rights getting weak. Some of them begin to accept compensation from the company and investor, in other word, some of them are willing to release their heritage and right on the forest.

The purpose of this study was to determine the pricing policy applied by selling PT.Wicaksana Overseas Internasional.Analisis data in this study using qualitative descriptive method and data collection by observation and interviews. These results indicate that the right pricing will affect the volume increase in sales and satisfaction to consumers. Because prices affect the volume of sales and the purchasing decision. Therefore, setting the selling price of products made by the International Overseas PT.Wicaksana already running well by doing and observation visit directly into the field, and conduct periodic surveys in the field and carried out by the marketing department who has been given the task by the leadership and results of the research findings discussed in the meeting and obtained conclusions and results that have been agreed. This means that pricing in the International Overseas PT.Wicaksana doing some process so that pricing is done going well and accepted by consumers.

Companies must have innovative ways of communicating messages to compete with other companies because of the many new companies that have sprung up. One of them is by using television media. However, with the increasing number of companies placing advertisements, the number of TV stations in Indonesia is now around 1027 television stations. The public's tendency to switch channels has made advertising conditions worse so that creative advertising is needed. Using a qualitative descriptive method focuses on describing, analyzing, and interpreting Tokopedia advertisements from television media. The data collection techniques used were observation, literature study, and documentation. The results showed that the Tokopedia WIB "Waktu Indonesia Belanja" advertisement was always on television. The advert is inspiring and easy to remember. This advertising has creativity as seen from the indicators of connectedness, suitability, and novelty.
