The purpose of this study is to look at the professional competenceof Biology teachersof State Senior High School in Deli Serdang based on gender, age, working period, certification and the graduation level. The population in this study were allBiology Teachers of Senior High School in Deli Serdang which had 56 teachers. The sample was purposive sampling with 53 teachers, 318 peer teachers, 3 lecturers as the expert of validators. Descriptive qualitative research was applied.Data were collected by using the test which covered written comprehension test of professionalcompetence. The findings showed that the professional competence of biology teachers were competent based on Permendiknas No. 16 Year 2007.The results of professional competence of teachers was 75 categorized as competent enough which covered  written comprehension  test,  in  Grade 10 was 75 categorized as competent, Grade 11 was 75 categorized as competent, and Grade 12 was 74 categorized as  competent enough. The professional competence test of the teachers showed that (1) male teachers were more competent rather than female ones, (2) medium age of teachers were more competent rather than young age and old one, (3) 13 up to 24 years working period were more competent rather than 1 up to 12 years as well as  25 up to 36 years, (4) certification of teachers were more competent rather than not certification, (5) Postgraduate graduations were more competence rather than undergraduate  ones. This study implicated to be sustainable development for biology teachers of State Senior high school in Deli Serdang.

<p>The purpose of this study is to know the learning and the carrying capacity of environmental literacy on the subject of environmental biology at Senior High School, apply the type of qualitative research and use purposive sampling in sampling, data collection by questioner and interview. The results showed that the learning done by the teacher has not fully supported the optimization of students' literacy.</p>

This study investigated the contribution of Facebook Group (FG) in writing activity and the students’ perception of using FG in writing activity. It is qualitative research - case study. It used purposive sampling technique involving three students at eleventh grade of Senior High School. Interview with open-ended was distributed as the technique of collecting data to allow the participants to explore their ideas. Thus, the data was analyzed by content analysis in which the data passed the process of data reduction, data display and conclusion and verification. The finding revealed that Facebook group just has contribution in pre-writing activity while the others’ activities were done in the classroom. Then, through the interview, the students’ stated that they felt comfortable in expressing their ideas through Facebook group, thus, they also felt motivated when their friends’ gave their comments on their statements.

This study was conducted aiming at examining: (1) the divergent principles of politeness in students’ directive speech act (2) factors affecting politeness and impoliteness in verbal and non-verbal directive speech act produced by students at grade X in Senior High School 1 Mataram in the learning process. The subject of this study are teachers teaching Bahasa Indonesia, English, Economy, History, Math, Religion, Civic, and Science, and all students at Grade X of Science 1, Science 3 and Social 2 in Senior High School 1 Mataram. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The data source in this study is the number of utterances produced by students and teachers in the learning process. The data were collected through observation. This study revealed that: (1) there were divergent principles of politeness in participants’ directive speech act namely single and multiple divergent principles of politeness affected by speaker intentionally accused addressees, intentionally uttered by neglecting the context, was protective to other arguments, showed emotional feeling, given critiques in impolite words and mocked at other; and (2) there were factors affecting politeness and impoliteness in verbal and non-verbal directive speech act produced by students in learning process namely linguistic factor and non-linguistic factor.

<p><em>This study examines the focal point of illustration of the first winner of the contest for writing opinion of the senior high school level in South Kalimantan. This study aims to describe 1) the focus point of illustration of the title of the first winner of the contest writing opinion of the senior high school level in South Kalimantan? 2) the focal point of information information of the first winner of writing contest for high school level opinion in South Kalimantan; 3) the focal point of illocution of the moral message of the first winner of the high school opinion writing contest in South Kalimantan. The study was conducted in October 2016 at Balai Bahasa Balai. The method used is qualitative deskreptif. The technique used in this paper is the sampling purposive sampling. The sample used as data is the first winner of the contest for writing the opinion of the senior high school level in South Kalimantan, in South Kalimantan Language Hall, in 2016. This first winner is named Norhidayah, a student of SMAN 4 Banjarbaru, with the title of Language Role in Introducing Children of Nation. Data analysis is done by steps, data collection, data identification, classification, selection and interpretation. The results of data analysis are presented in ordinary words with technical terminology. Based on the results of the study of the focal point of the article, the first winner of the South Kalimantan high school opinion writing contest includes the focus point of the title illusion, the focus point of information illocution, and the focus point of the illustration of the moral mandate. The focus of the title illustration can be seen in the meaning of its ilokusinya, language, and suitability of the theme in the title. The focus point of the information illumination of the article can be seen in its meaning of ilokusinya, its language style, and the type of discourse. The focus point of the illustration of its moral mandate can be seen in the author's expectations contained in the title, the focus of the information, and on the final paragraph of the paper</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p>Masalah yang dibahasa mengenai titik fokus ilokusi  artikel pemenang pertama  lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan 1) titik fokus ilokusi judul artikel pemenang pertama  lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan? 2) titik fokus ilokusi informasi artikel pemenang pertama  lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan; 3) titik fokus ilokusi amanat moral  artikel pemenang pertama  lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2016 di Balai Bahasa Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskreptif kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Sampel yang dijadikan data adalah artikel pemenang pertama lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan, di Balai Bahasa Kalimantan Selatan, tahun 2016. Pemenang pertama ini bernama Norhidayah, siswa SMAN 4 Banjarbaru, dengan judul Peran Bahasa dalam Mencerdaskan Anak Bangsa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan  langkah-langkah, pengumpulan data, indentifikasi data, klasifikasi, seleksi dan  interpretasi. Hasil analisis data disajikan dengan kata-kata biasa dengan terminologi yang teknis sifatnya. Berdasarkan hasil kajian titik fokus ilokusi artikel pemenang pertama  lomba penulisan opini tingkat SLTA se-Kalimantan Selatan  meliputi titik fokus ilokusi judul, titik fokus ilokusi  informasi , dan  titik fokus ilokusi amanat moral.Titik fokus ilokusi judul dapat dilihat pada makna ilokusinya, gaya bahasanya, daya bahasa, dan kesesuaian tema pada judul. Titik fokus ilokusi informasi artikel dapat dilihat pada makna ilokusinya, gaya bahasanya, dan jenis wacananya.Titik fokus ilokusi amanat moralnya dapat dilihat pada harapan penulis yang terdapat pada judul, fokus informasi, dan pada paragrap akhir karya tulis</p>

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the 2013 curriculum process standards in high schools throughout the Anambas Islands District. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive type of research. The population of this study were all 7 biology teachers in the Anambas Islands High School in the total of 7 people, with a study sample of 4 biology teachers taken with Purposive Sampling techniques taking into account the desired data needs. Techniques and instruments for collecting data through questionnaires, observation and documentation. Questionnaire instruments are used to determine the implementation of process standards. Observation is used for knowing the level of implementation of classroom learning and documentation used to determine learning preparation. Based on the analysis of the data that has been obtained, the implementation of the standard process in learning planning obtained an average percentage of 81.83%. In the implementation of learning, the percentage of the average percentage was 75.18% while the results of the learning observations in the class obtained an average percentage of 75.68%. Then the assessment of learning obtained an average percentage of 72.32%. The conclusion in this study is that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum process standards conducted by biology teachers has been classified as good in its implementation. ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan standar proses kurikulum 2013 di SMA se-Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriftif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru biologi di SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas yang berjumlah 7 orang, dengan sampel penelitian 4 orang guru biologi yang diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling.dengan pertimbangan kebutuhan data yang diinginkan. Teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Intrumen kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan standar proses. Observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengetahui persiapan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah didapatkan, keterlaksanaan standar proses pada perencanaan pembelajaran didapatkan rata-rata persentase 81,83%. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran didapatkan persentase rata-rata persentase 75,18% sedangkan pada hasil observasi pembelajaran di kelas didapatkan persentase rata-rata 75,68%. Kemudian pada penilaian pembelajaran didapatkan persentase rata-rata 72,32%. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa keterlasanaan standar proses kurikulum 2013 yang dilakukan oleh guru biolgi sudah tergolong baik dalam pelaksanaannya. This research aims to know the teaching of the speaking skill using the audio-oral method for the students of Islmic Senior High School of Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo and to know its problems. This qualitative research used observation, interview, and documentation to collect data. To analyze the data, this research based on three basic things, data reduction, data presentation, and extrapolation. And, to measure the validity of the data, this research used triangulation. The results of this research are the teaching of the speaking skill using the audio-oral method for the students of Islmic Senior High School of Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo by giving the dialogues, then translates them and represents the pronunciation in the Arabic dialect, which the students hear and then imitate afterwards sometimes the tape recorder used for improving the arabic speaking skill correctly while teaching continued with more exercises in various Arabic dialogues. The problems of the teaching of the speaking skill using the audio-oral method for the students of Islmic Senior High School of Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo consist of three basic problems which are related to the language environment, the local language, the monotonic teaching method and learning media.

The idea of the study is that the value potential of the subject is a fundamental element of the knowledge system as part of the realization of the idea of sustainable development in education. The basis of the study used the classification of value categories proposed by Milton Rokeach in 1979. We found that in the main school, the content of the subject “Biology” is primarily aimed at forming ideas about terminal values – “life”, “health”, “nature”; in high school – about terminal values “life”, “health”, as well as instrumental values – “perseverance”. The value ideas of a biology teacher are one of the key factors in the formation of students’ value ideas. In the structure of value representations of biology teachers, the three leaders are orientations towards terminal values. We have put forward the assumption that there is a dissonance between the value ideas of respondents and the values that the school biology course is aimed at forming an idea about.
