<p>The purpose of this study is to know the learning and the carrying capacity of environmental literacy on the subject of environmental biology at Senior High School, apply the type of qualitative research and use purposive sampling in sampling, data collection by questioner and interview. The results showed that the learning done by the teacher has not fully supported the optimization of students' literacy.</p>

This study was conducted aiming at examining: (1) the divergent principles of politeness in students’ directive speech act (2) factors affecting politeness and impoliteness in verbal and non-verbal directive speech act produced by students at grade X in Senior High School 1 Mataram in the learning process. The subject of this study are teachers teaching Bahasa Indonesia, English, Economy, History, Math, Religion, Civic, and Science, and all students at Grade X of Science 1, Science 3 and Social 2 in Senior High School 1 Mataram. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The data source in this study is the number of utterances produced by students and teachers in the learning process. The data were collected through observation. This study revealed that: (1) there were divergent principles of politeness in participants’ directive speech act namely single and multiple divergent principles of politeness affected by speaker intentionally accused addressees, intentionally uttered by neglecting the context, was protective to other arguments, showed emotional feeling, given critiques in impolite words and mocked at other; and (2) there were factors affecting politeness and impoliteness in verbal and non-verbal directive speech act produced by students in learning process namely linguistic factor and non-linguistic factor.

This research aims to determine the influence of both partial and simultaneous motivation, creativity, and confidence of students in studying to economic subject learning autonomy of the students of Senior High School 4 Tegal. The population in this study was the whole class X Social Education Science which consists of 126 students. The data collection in this research was taken through several methods, whicha are observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The result of this study shows that 77.7% of learning motivation, learning creativity, and self-confidence simultaneously affect the learning autonomy of economics subject of Senior High School 4 Tegal. The results of this study are expected to enable teachers to foster learning motivation, learning creativity and self-confidence of the students in order to form the character of independence. Students are expected to not only rely on the subject matter given by the teachers, but they must be more active and independent in learning to expand a broad insight about economy.

The aim of the study is to determine students’ learning difficulties at all Public Senior High School (SMA) in Medan. This research is descriptive. The population of the study is all students of class XII totaling 7272 in 21 Public Senior High Schools (SMA Negeri) spread over 15 districts. Samples were taken using Purposive Sampling, they are 524 students of class XII in 7 schools. The techniques for data collection use questionnaires of students’ learning difficulties and interviews. The finding of the study concluded that factors caused the biggest students’ learning difficulties derived from external factors (44%), which consist of laboratories factor (49%), books (45%) and the teacher factor (37%). The percentage of internal factors was (43%), which consist of the talent factor (50%), interest (44%) and motivational factors (36%).

The purpose of this study is to look at the professional competenceof Biology teachersof State Senior High School in Deli Serdang based on gender, age, working period, certification and the graduation level. The population in this study were allBiology Teachers of Senior High School in Deli Serdang which had 56 teachers. The sample was purposive sampling with 53 teachers, 318 peer teachers, 3 lecturers as the expert of validators. Descriptive qualitative research was applied.Data were collected by using the test which covered written comprehension test of professionalcompetence. The findings showed that the professional competence of biology teachers were competent based on Permendiknas No. 16 Year 2007.The results of professional competence of teachers was 75 categorized as competent enough which covered  written comprehension  test,  in  Grade 10 was 75 categorized as competent, Grade 11 was 75 categorized as competent, and Grade 12 was 74 categorized as  competent enough. The professional competence test of the teachers showed that (1) male teachers were more competent rather than female ones, (2) medium age of teachers were more competent rather than young age and old one, (3) 13 up to 24 years working period were more competent rather than 1 up to 12 years as well as  25 up to 36 years, (4) certification of teachers were more competent rather than not certification, (5) Postgraduate graduations were more competence rather than undergraduate  ones. This study implicated to be sustainable development for biology teachers of State Senior high school in Deli Serdang.

<p>This article discusses to what extent mathematics teachers do Biblical integration in their class, explores the challenges that mathematics teachers face when they do or want to do Biblical integration, and explores the school’s expectation of Biblical integration for mathematics teachers with more clarity and intentionality. Research was conducted from September until October 2016. The research subjects were the curriculum coordinator, head of the Department of Mathematics, seven mathematics teachers, and 362 senior high students. The data collection techniques that were used were a semi-structured interview, and a questionnaire. The results of the research showed that the school’s expectation is that teachers should be able show how mathematics is capable of expressing truths about God’s work, God’s beauty, and God’s regularity because God created mathematics. All of the mathematics teachers modeled Biblical qualities. The challenges and obstacles that mathematics teachers were confronted with was that they had little time to find Biblical integration material, they did not have enough understanding, they had difficulty doing Biblical integration from the material, and the teachers were afraid that their explanations about Biblical integration would sound forced to students, especially non-Christian students.<em></em></p><p class="abstrak"><strong>ABSTRAK BAHASA INDONESIA:  </strong>Artikel ini membahas sejauh mana guru matematika melakukan integrasi Alkitabiah di kelasnya, tantangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru matematika saat mereka melakukan atau ingin melakukan integrasi Alkitabiah, dan untuk mencari tahu ekspetasi sekolah tentang integrasi Alkitabiah untuk guru matematika dengan lebih jelas dan mempunyai maksud. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari September sampai Oktober 2016. Subjek penelitian adalah kordinator kurikulum, kepala departemen matematika, tujuh guru matematika, dan 362 siswa sekolah menengah atas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara terencana-tidak terstruktur dan kuisioner. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekspetasi sekolah adalah bagaimana matematika mampu menjadi tempat untuk mengantarkan siswa mengenal kebenaran seperti pekerjaan Tuhan, keindahan Tuhan, keteraturan Tuhan karena Tuhan menciptakan matematika. Kemudian, semua guru matematika menjadi contoh kualitas Alkitabiah. Hambatan dan tantangan yang dihadapi guru matematika adalah kekurangan waktu untuk menemukan integrasi Alkitabiah dari materi, mereka juga tidak mempunyai pemahaman yang cukup, mereka merasa kesulitan dalam melakukan integrasi Alkitabiah, dan guru merasa takut jika penjelasannya tentang integrasi Alkitabiah terdengar memaksa bagi siswa, terkhusus siswa yang beragama lain.</p>

This research aimed to find out Google Classroom effectiveness, which was used to enhance students’ writing recount text for Senior High School and recognize students' writing performance. This research used a pre-experimental research design. The subject of this study is the tenth grade of senior high school at Western Surabaya. It involved 30 students as a sample of this study. In the process of data collection, the researcher used a pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The researcher analyzed the data using Wilcoxon Ranks Test to test the hypothesis. This study found the value of significance (2-tailed) was lower than the significance level (0.022 < 0.05), then the Ha was accepted. It means there was a significant value on students’ achievement of the writing performance of recount text by using Google Classroom. In addition, the result of the questionnaire indicates that the students’ responses are neutral; it means that the students do not feel difficult in the use of Google Classroom. However, it can be concluded that Google Classroom significantly affects students’ writing performance and helps them finish and collect the assignment without any bound by time and space. Further, based on the data obtained, which analyzed through Brown's theory, the students' writing performance is imitative and intensive. It means they are still positioning in the primary category.

This research aims to get information about how big the effect adversity quotient toward Student’s Learning Motivation in Economics at the Sttate Senior High School of 2 Siak Hulu. The background of the research were some student cheated in doing their tasks, they did not submit their assignment on time, they did not bring their economics textbooks, and they did not study seriously. This was a quantitative research. The subject of this research was the eleventh grade students whose major were sosial science. The object of this research was the effect adversity quotient to word students’s learning motivation. The number of sample of this research were 127 students. The research used random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was questionares and documentations. This technique of analysis used to examine the hypothesis was simple linier regression. Based on the result of the research and data analysis, it was found that ro (observasi) 0,688 bigger than rt (tabel) with the level of sifnificance 5% (0,1743) and 1% (0,2278) at (0,1743<0,688>0,2278) or that there is a significant effect of adversity quotient toword students’ learning motivation in economics at the State Senior High School of 2 Siak Hulu. The percentage of adversity quotient effect toward students’ learning motivation was 47,3% while the rest 52,7% was influenced by other variables which were not included in this research.

This research aims to describe emotional quotient and reading habit of asmaul husna of students and to examine relationship between of both. The subject of this research were all of students in grade XI MA (Senior High School) Nurul Ummah Yogyakarta as many as 34 people. Interviews, scale of emotional quotient, and reading habit asmaul husna questionnaire are used as an instrument in data collection. The results show: first, level of emotional quotient of students in grade XI MA Nurul Ummah Yogyakarta are in the high category. Second, level of reading habit asmaul husna of students in grade XI MA Nurul Ummah Yogyakarta are in the high category. Third, there’s positive and significant correlation (rxy=0,614, p=0,001) between reading habit of asmaul husna and emotional quotient of students in grade XI MA Nurul Ummah Yogyakarta. Fourth, the contribution of reading habit Asmaul Husna toward emotional quotient of students in grade XI MA Nurul Ummah Yogyakarta is 37,70%.   Keywords: reading habit asmaul husna, emotional quotient, student grade XI

Abstrak: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel kelas VII MTs N 5 Magelang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa kelas VII MTs N 5 Magelang yang memiliki kemampuan awal matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Subjek penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes tertulis dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif tinggi dimana subjek mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan, fleksibilitas, dan orisinil; 2) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika sedang hanya mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan dan fleksibilitas; 3) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika rendah  tidak mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan, fleksibilitas, dan orisinil. Abstrak: The type of this research s This qualitative research that aims to identify the ability of students' mathematical creative thinking in solving the problem of Linear Equations One Variable class VII MTs N 5 Magelang. The subjects of this research is 3 students of class VII MTs N 5 Magelang who have early high, medium, and low math skills. The subject of this research is taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques the form of written tests and interviews. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded that: 1) Subjects with high early mathematical abilities possess high creative thinking abilities in which subjects are capable of achieving flexibility, flexibility, and original aspects; 2) Subjects with early math skills are only able to attain flexibility and flexibility aspects; 3) Subjects with low initial math skills are unable to achieve flexibility, flexibility, and original aspects.

This apparent study is meant to prove the effectiveness of Project based laboratory Learning (PBLL) toward students’ creativity in Statistical Method I subject. The research’s populations are all second semester students from II-B and II-C. Data collection method used in this research are documentation and test. The research instruments are document and question test. The document in this research is used to determine the sample of the research through equilibrium analysis with the data collected from the students’ result of their study in the mathematics for School I for Junior and Senior High School. The test instrument is used to get the data related to students’ creativity. The result of this research shows that PBLL is more effective than direct learning to improve students’ creativity especially in the subject of Statistical method I.
