AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran Discovery Learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Dicovery Learning, sedangkan variabel terikat yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang terdiri dari 8 kelas, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-G (kelas eksperimen I) sebanyak 31 orang dan kelas VIII-H (kelas eksperimen II) sebanyak 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil pretest kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel. Dari hasil analisis data pretest-posttes dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf α = 0,05 diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 1,955 > 1,677sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran Discovery Learning di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Kata kunci : Kemampuan pemecahan masalah, , model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning.AbstractThis study aims to determine the problem solving ability of mathematics students using Problem Based Learning model of learning is better than the model of learning Discovery Learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest Control Group Design design. The variables of this study consisted of independent variables, namely the use of Problem Based Learning and Dicovery Learning, while the dependent variable is the students' math problem solving abilities. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan consisting of 8 classes, while the sample in this study were students of class VIII-G (experiment class I) as many as 31 people and class VIII-H (Experiment class II) as many as 31 people. Research instruments in data collection are test and observation sheet. Before testing the hypothesis first tested the normality of data by using Liliefors test and homogeneity of data using F test. From the test it was obtained that the pretest results of both samples distributed normal and homogeneous, thus the authors can provide treatment to both samples. From result of analysis of pretest-posttes data by using t-test at α = 0,05 obtained t count> ttable that is 1,955> 1,677 so that H0 refused and Ha accepted. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa . Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Swasta Harapan Paya Bakung Kabupaten Deli Serdang Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Eksperimen Semu dengan desain penelitian Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yang diperoleh dengan cara teknik sampel acak yaitu kelas VIII-1 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII-2 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang berbentuk uraian sebanyak 3 soal. Uji prasyarat yang digunakan adalah uji Liliefors untuk menguji normalitas data, sedangkan uji Fisher untuk menguji homogenitas data. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas diperoleh bahwa kedua populasi berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan hasil uji homogenitas diperoleh bahwa kedua populasi homogen(sama). Hasil validitas uji coba tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dinyatakan valid dengan kriteria validitas tinggi sedangkan hasil uji reliabilitas tes memiliki reliabilitas tinggi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan  0,84 dan  0,361 pada taraf signifikan 5% yang berarti    (0,84  0,361), maka  ditolak dan  diterima. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan model pembelajaran pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswaKata kunci : Model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL), kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of problem based learning (PBL) of problem solving ability mathematics students. This type of research is a quasi- experimental research with research design Pretest-Posstest Control Group Design. Population in this study as many as 60 students. The sample of this research consists of two classes obtained by random sampling technique that is class VIII-1 as many as 30 students as control class and class VIII-2 as 30 students as experiment class. The instrument used in this researchis the ability to comprehend the concept of mathematical students in the form of a description 0f 3 questions. The prerequisite  test used is the Liliefors test to test normality of the data, while the Fisher test to test the homogeneity of the data. Based on normality test results obtained that the two populations are normally distributed. Whereas homogeneity test results obtained that both populations are homogeneous(same). The validity of the test results of the ability to test the problem solving ability mathematics students are valid with high validity criteria while test reliability test results have high reliability. Data analysis technique used in this research is simple regression analysis. Based on the calculation of simple linier regression analysis showed   0,84 and   0,361 at a  significant level of 5%      (0,84  0,361). Then  rejected and  accepted. So it can be concluded tht the model of problem based learning (PBL) influences.Key words : Model problem based learning (PBL), mathematics problem solving

AbstrakTujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA) lebih baik dari pada konvensional, untuk mengetahui sikap kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA), dan untuk mengetahui hambatan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Metode penelitiannya adalah eksperimen kuasi dan desain penelitiannya Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA PASUNDAN CIKALONGKULON dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas XI MIPA-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA) lebih baik dari konvensional. Hasil angket siswa kelas XI MIPA-3 memperoleh hasil hampir seluruhnya positif respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Means End Analysis (MEA).Kata Kunci: Kemandirian, MEA, Pemecahan Masalah Matematis. Increased Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and Student Learning Independence Using the Means-End Analysis Learning Model AbstractThe purpose of this research is to find out whether the improvement of students 'mathematical problem-solving abilities using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model is better than conventional learning, to determine the attitudes of students' learning independence towards mathematics learning using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model, and to find out the obstacles of students in solving problems mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method is a quasi-experiment and the research design is Nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA PASUNDAN CIKALONGKULON with a sample of two classes. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique. Class XI MIPA-3 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA-1 as a control class. The instruments were in the form of tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities, questionnaires, and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities using the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model is better than conventional. The results of the XI MIPA-3 class questionnaire obtained almost entirely positive student responses to the Means-End Analysis (MEA) learning model.Keywords: Independence, MEA, Mathematical Problem Solving.

Model pembelajaran adalah salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar peserta didik di kelas. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap prestasi belajar 70 orang peserta didik sebuah SMK, pada Mata Pelajaran Korespondensi, kompetensi dasar mengidentifikasi prosedur pembuatan surat dinas. Dengan menggunakan non-equivalent control group design, hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih cocok dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik dalam mempelajari kompetensi dasar mengidentifikasi prosedur pembuatan surat dinas, dibandingkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif bagi para guru Mata Pelajaran Korespondensi dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran tersebut.Kata Kunci: Discovery Learning, Problem Based Learning, Prestasi Belajar THE INFLUENCE OF DISCOVERY LEARNING AND PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTTeaching and learning model is one of the factors influencing students’ learning achievements. This article discusses results of a quasi-experimental study which aims to investigate the influence of  discovery learning and problem-based learning models on learning achievements of 70 vocational high school students, in the subject of Correspondence (in the competence of identifying the procedure of writing official letters). Using non-equivalent control group design, results of data analysis show that discovery learning model is more suitable to improve students’ learning achievements in the competence of identifying the procedure of writing official letters, compared to problem based learning model. Thus, discovery learning is worth using by teachers of the subject to improve the learning achievements of their students in this subject. This study aims to determine the improvement of problem solving ability of mathematics and self-efficacy of students through problem-based learning model. This research method used pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study is all of Year 7 students of SMP Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. Two classes of samples were randomly selected, the experimental and the control classesThe research instrument consisted of a mathematical problem solving test and self-efficacy questionnaire. Data analysis was using t-test statistic. The result of the research showed 1) mathematical problem solving ability of students through problem-based learning model better than students who received conventional learning, 2) Self-efficacy of students who through problem-based learning model better than students who learn conventionally.

Abstrak: Salah satu model yang dapat digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik adalah model pembelajaran guided discovery. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran guided discovery terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik pada tahun  2019 bertempat di SMA 6 Mataram. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design with pre-testand post-test. Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakanpurposive sampling, sehingga terpilih XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa model  pembelajaranguided discovery sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah (KPM) berupa tes uraian dan tes hasil belajar berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk pre-tes digunakan materi gerak harmonis sederhana, untuk post-tes digunakan materi elastisitas zat padat,  dengan mempertimbangkan validitas, reliabilitas, taraf kesukaran soal dan daya beda soal. Uji analisis hipotestis  menggunakan uji manova bantuan IBM SPSS 23. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatakan nilai signifikan 0,004 pada taraf nilai signifikan 0,05 yang artinya H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran guided discovery terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik.Kata kunci: Guided discoveri, Kemampuan pemecahan masalah, Hasil belajarAbstract: One model that can be used to practice problem solving skills and improve student learning outcomes is the guided discovery learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of guided discovery learning models on problem solving abilities and physics learning outcomes of students in 2019 at SMA 6 Mataram. This type of research used quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, so XI MIPA 4 was chosen as the experimental class and XI MIPA 5 was chosen as the control class. The experimental class was treated as a guided discovery learning model while the control class was treated as a conventional learning model. The research instrument consisted of a problem solving ability test in the form of a breakdown test and a test of learning outcomes in the form of a multiple choice test for pre-tests using simple harmonic motion material, for post-tests the material used was solidity elasticity, taking into account validity, reliability, level of difficulty problems and different power problems. Hypothesis analysis test using IBM SPSS 23 manova test. Hypothesis test results obtained a significant value of 0.004 at a significant value of 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X-MIA SMA Negeri 3 Medan yang terbagi dalam 15 kelas dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah 2 kelas yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster sampling yaitu kelas X MIA-4 menjadi kelas eksperimen 1 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelas X MIA-14 menjadi kelas eksperimen 2 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Setelah diberikan perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen 1 diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 78,44 sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen 2 nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 71,75. Setelah diuji terbukti data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Setelah data terbukti berdistribusi normal dan homogen dilakukan uji hipotesis untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji t pihak kanan. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung (2,7347) > ttabel (1,6646) maka Ha diterima. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, STAD, TPS ABSTRACT The aim of this study were to know whether the problem solving skills of mathematics students who learn by using STAD type cooperative learning model is higher than the ability of problem solving mathematics students who learn by using cooperative learning model of TPS type on the material rules of sinus and cosine. The population in this research is all students of X-MIA class X SMA Negeri 3 Medan which is divided into 15 classes and the research sample is 2 classes selected by cluster sampling technique that class X MIA-4 into experiment class 1 by using cooperative learning model type STAD and X class MIA-14 into experiment class 2 by using model of cooperative learning type of TPS. Before testing the hypothesis first tested the normality of the data by using the Liliefors test and homogeneity of data using the F test. After being given treatment in the experimental class 1 obtained the average value of posttest is 78.44 while in the experimental class 2 the average posttest value is 71.75 . After tested the data proved normal and homogeneous distribution. After the data proved to be normal and homogeneous distributions, hypothesis test is done to answer the research hypothesis by using the right side t test. From result of hypothesis test obtained tcount (2,7347) > ttable (1,6646) hence Ha accepted. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik dari pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester V kelas A dan B IKIP PGRI Pontianak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah matematika diskrit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dimana pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan model PBL lebih besar daripada rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa yang pembelajarannya menerapkan pembelajaran dengan model PBL peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the increase in student problem solving abilities with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was better than direct learning. This research is a quasi experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study were the fifth semester students of class A and B IKIP PGRI Pontianak with cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test problem solving ability in discrete mathematics courses. The results showed that there was an increase in problem solving abilities where hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test obtained Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 less than 0,05, the average problem solving ability using the PBL model is greater than the average problem solving ability using direct learning. From the results of the study, it can be concluded thet students whose learning applies PBL model increase their problem solving abilities significantly better than students whose learning used direct learning.

The research was caused by the poor of mathematical problem solving ability of students. This research aimed to compare of mathematical problem solving between students who learned through problem based learning and scientific approach. The method was an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design involving two groups and random sampling. At the first and end of learning, the two classes are given a test. The population in this research were Madrasah Aliyah students in Cimahi, while the sample consisted of two randomly selected classes. One class  which was given problem based learning and other class was given a scientific approach. The instrument was a set of  5-item mathematical problem solving test description, then those were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics using the help of minitab 17 software. Based on the results of the research, the conclusion was  the improvement of  mathematical problem solving  of students using problem based learning was better than students who use a scientific approach.

Abstract: This study aims to compare the Mind Mapping and ARIAS learning models (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) to the understanding of physics concepts in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bukit Kemuning. This study is a Quasi Experiment Design with research villages using the Pretest-Posttest Design Control Group. The selection of samples using Purposive Sampling techniques. The research samples were experimental class I (VIII 4) which applied the Mind Mapping learning model and experimental class II (VIII 6) which applied the ARIAS learning model (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction). Data collection instruments used were test instruments for understanding concepts (pretest and posttest) with essay questions. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dihitung dengan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 (5%) bahwa thitung = 1,725 dan ttabel = 1,708 yang menunjukkan bahwa thitung> ttabel , sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak yang artinya terdapat perbandingan model Mind Mapping dan ARIAS terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Bukit Kemuning

The STAD cooperative learning model can support active, independent and responsible learning for students. The application of this model is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills using Edmodo-assisted learning models. Edmodo was modified to become a teacher tool to expand learning at home. This research is an experimental study using a pretest-posttest control group design involving 39 students of class VIII MTs At-Taqwa Beru, Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara. Based on the results of the study it was found that the Edmodo-assisted STAD type cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.
