ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata setelah diterapkan metode Penemuan Terbimbing dan mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa  ketika diterapkan metode Penemuan Terbimbing. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam 2 kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A yang berjumlah 30 orang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi Prisma dan Limas. Data diperoleh dari tes pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada akhir setiap siklus dan lembar observasi untuk setiap kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Pemahaman konsep matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan. Ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada tes awal yaitu 58,83 dengan tingkat pemahaman rendah. Secara klasikal dari 30 siswa hanya 2 siswa (6,67%) yang mencapai peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep (mencapai nilai  75). Setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa meningkat menjadi 70,91 dengan tingkat pemahaman sedang dan jumlah siswa yang mencapai peningkatan sebanyak 14 siswa (46,67%). Selanjutnya setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa meningkat menjadi 81,91 dengan tingkat pemahaman tinggi dan sebanyak 26 siswa (86,67%) mencapai peningkatan, serta telah mencapai indicator keberhasilan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Penemuan Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi Prisma dan Limas.Kata Kunci   : Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep, Metode Penemuan Terbimbing, Prisma dan Limas.ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability to understand the concepts of mathematics students in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata after applied Guided Discovery method and to know the student's learning activity  when applied method of Guided Discovery. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle is held in 2 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII-A  which amounted to 30 people. Objects in this research is an effort to improve the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts on Prism and Limas material in class VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata academic year 2016/2017. The data were obtained from a comprehension test of students' mathematical concepts at the end of each cycle and an observation sheet for each meeting. The results showed that the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students have increased. This can be seen from the average score of understanding of mathematical concepts of students on the initial test that is 58.83 with low understanding level. Classically of 30 students only 2 students (6.67%) who achieved improvement of concept comprehension ability (reaching value ≥75). After the implementation of the action on the first cycle, the average score of students' mathematical concepts comprehension increased to 70.91 with a moderate level of understanding and the number of students who achieved an increase of 14 students (46.67%). Furthermore, after the implementation of the action in cycle II, the average score of understanding of mathematical concepts of students increased to 81.91 with a high level of understanding and as many as 26 students (86.67%) achieved improvement, and has achieved the indicator of research success. The purpose of this research for increase activities and result study of XI TKR B students of Vocational High School Tamansiswa academic year 2015/2016 in electrical light vehicle. Type of this research is action research class, subject of this research is XI TKR B students amount 25 students and the object is increase activities and result of study in electrical light vehicle using guided discovery method. Data accumulator technique in this research using observation, interview, test, and documentation. Data analysis technique about students doing observation during learning activity, while the result of study conduct by calculating the average value and percentage that completed KKM. Result of this research showing after using guided discovery method, activeness and result of student learning increase. It can be seen pra-cycle condition students activeness percentage 44,8%, cycle I percentage of students of activity 62%, cycle II percentage of students activity 70,8%, cycle III percentage of students activity 83,6%, while students average value before activity 64,40 with percentage of completeness about 33,33%, cycle I student average score 7,04 with percentage of completeness about 76%, cycle II students average before increased to 7,56 with percentage of completeness about 88% and cycle III students average score increased to 7,84 with percentage of completeness about 96%.

The ability of students to understand the concept of learning varies, it is very necessary to know the level of understanding of students' concepts in learning mathematics, so that it becomes a rationale in determining the appropriate learning approach. This study aims to determine the effect learning approach of the ELPSA eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Makassar. The type of research used is experimental research. The design of this research is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Makassar in the 2019/2020 academic year and the research sample was determined by the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The instrument in this study was an essay test on understanding mathematical concepts. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential. The descriptive research results show that there is an increase in understanding of the mathematical concept after the application of the ELPSA learning approach; the score of concept understanding after the application of the ELPSA learning approach met the completeness criteria, namely more than 80; and completeness of students' conceptual understanding after being applied classical ELPSA learning approach is 97% complete. The inferential hypothesis testing results show that the application of the ELPSA learning approach affects the understanding of mathematical concepts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Makassar.

This research aims to determine the influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understand of mathematical concept students class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The method used in this research is pure experiment. The population is the entire class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau academic year 2016/2017 which amounts to 444 students, as the sample is class VIII.9 as experimental class and class VIII.7 as a control class taken at random. Data collection is done by test technique. Collected data was analyzed using t-test at significant level α = 0,05, obtained tcount > ttable that is 3,48 > 1.67, so it can be concluded that there is significant influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understanding of mathematical concepts student class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The average score of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the final test of the experimental class is 25.23 and the control class is 17.44. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) lebih baik daripada menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (Group Investigation) di kelas VIII SMP Negeri Pancur Batu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pancur Batu yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dan diambil kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dengan 34 siswa, serta kelas VIII-7 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 dengan 32 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan intrumen berbentuk uraian yaitu posttest yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Dari hasil penelitian setelah diberikan perlakuan berbeda yaitu kelas eksperimen 1 menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) dan kelas eksperimen 2 menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (Group Investigation) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 77,171 untuk kelas eksperimen 1 dan 70,685 untuk kelas eksperimen 2. Hasil uji hipotesis memberikan nilai thitung = 1,734252 dan ttabel = 1,6693 dengan dk = 64 dan taraf signifikan  = 0,05 sehingga terlihat yang berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Investigasi Kelompok (Group Investigation).Kata Kunci : Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa, Model Pembelajaran Konteskstual (CTL), Model Pembelajaran Investigasi Kelompok.ABSTRACT This study aims to see that the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts using contextual learning model (CTL) is better than using Group Investigation model in Grade VIII SMP Negeri Pancur Batu. Test result Hypothesis gives tcount = 1,734252 and ttable = 1,6693 with dk = 64 and significant level a = 0.05 so it looks t_hitung (1.734252)> t_tabel (1,6693) which means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It is concluded that the students' understanding of mathematical concepts taught using contextual learning model (CTL) is higher than the ability to comprehend the concepts of mathematics students taught using Group Investigation model. This study aims to determine the completeness of the results of learning mathematics Class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau. Having applied guided discovery method. The research method used in this research is a quasi experiment with population class VIII 191 students and as a sample is class VIII F 32 students are taken at random. Data collecting is done by the test technique in the form of essay.Data problem is analyzed using t-test . Based on the results of data analysis on tarap belief α = 0.05 can be concluded that the results of students studying class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau Academic Year 2016/2017 after the average value of the final test of 81.27 and the percentage of complete students reached 82.14% Keywords: Guided Discovery, Learning Outcomes, Mathematics

This study was conducted on junior high school students with the aim to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics, student activities, and student responses through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model with guided discovery method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research, ie research done by teachers in their own class with planned, systematic to improve the quality of classroom learning practice. The subjects of this study are students of class VII SMP Negeri Padangsidimpuan Lesson Year 2017-2018, selected is a class VII-2 with the number of students 31 people. While the object of this study is the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model with a guided discovery method to improve results and student learning activities that are not good math and need to be improved. The research instrument in this research will use test and non-test technique. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is 1) the increase of mathematics learning outcomes through the application of STAD type cooperative learning model with guided discovery method of 0.65 with medium criteria, 2) Increased student learning activity through the application of STAD type cooperative learning model with guided discovery method equal to 0.46 with medium criterion, 3) also increase student response to STAD type cooperative learning with guided discovery method. The improvement of teachers' ability to manage the learning is 0.78 with high criteria.

The purpose of this research was to find out the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who were taught with better Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) models than students who were taught with convensional model on the material of flat side space in MTsS Dama Puteh. The CUPs models has three stages including: individual, triplets, and class discussions. The author uses an experimental research design with a quasi-experimental design. Sampling was done using population random sampling. In this study all students of class VIII MTsS Dama Puteh. In this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIIIB as an experimental class and class VIIIA as a control class. Data collection using the ability test mathematical concept understanding of the results showed that based one the t-test obtained tcount = 1,8 and ttable = 1,68. Because tcount > ttable so that it can be concluded that the increased ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students taught with more CUPs models better than students who were taught with convensional models on the material to build flat side spaces in MTsS Dama Puteh.

This research is a descriptive qualitative research using test and interview method. Research subjects randomly selected as many as 30 students from two classes. AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksaan, tahap observasi, dan tahap refleksi yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui penerapan model pembelajaran  discovery learning dan pendekatan saintifik. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 34 orang siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing berlangsung 3 kali pertemuan dan setiap siklus dilaksanakan tes akhir siklus. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII.3 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II melalui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning. Ini dapat dilihat dari (a) hasil belajar pada siklus I, jumlah siswa yang tuntas hanya 11 orang dengan skor rata-rata 66,47 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 28 orang dengan skor rata-rata 82,79. (b) meningkatnya presentase ketuntasan belajar matematika siswa yaitu 32,4% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 82,3% pada siklus II. (c) meningkatnya rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa dari siklus I sampai siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII.3 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu dengan penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Matematika, Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning AbstractThis research is a classroom action research which includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages carried out in the SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the application of discovery learning models and scientific approaches. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII.3 of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu in the academic year 2018/2019 which amounted to 34 students. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each of which took place 3 times and each cycle carried out the final cycle test. Data retrieval is done using observation and test results. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study indicate that the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII.3 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu experienced an increase from cycle I to cycle II through the application of discovery learning learning models. This can be seen from (a) learning outcomes in the first cycle, the number of students who completed only 11 people with an average score of 66.47 and in the second cycle increased to 28 people with an average score of 82.79. (b) the increase in the percentage of students' mathematics learning completeness, namely 32.4% in the first cycle increased to 82.3% in the second cycle. (c) increasing the average learning activity of students from cycle I to cycle II. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there was an increase in mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII.3 in SMP Negeri 4  Kota Bengkulu with the application of discovery learning models.Keywords: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Discovery Learning Models

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to know the understanding of mathematical concepts of students with the use of conceptual attainment model is better than the understanding of students' mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is quasi experimental research. The research design used was randomized subjects posttest only control group design. By selecting a Class VIII-2 sample as an experimental class and class VIII-1 as a control class of analytical techniques using the t-test as a hypothesis test, the prerequisite test is a normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the hypothesis test, t-test, obtained the price tarithmetic = 3.073 and price ttable = -1.997 at the real level of 0.05. Because tarithmetic > ttable, so Ha accepted and H0 rejected. So it can be concluded that the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conceptual learning model attainment better than the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conventional learning model.Keywords: Concept Attainment, Understanding of Concept
