ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) lebih baik daripada menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (Group Investigation) di kelas VIII SMP Negeri Pancur Batu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pancur Batu yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dan diambil kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dengan 34 siswa, serta kelas VIII-7 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 dengan 32 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan intrumen berbentuk uraian yaitu posttest yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Dari hasil penelitian setelah diberikan perlakuan berbeda yaitu kelas eksperimen 1 menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) dan kelas eksperimen 2 menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (Group Investigation) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 77,171 untuk kelas eksperimen 1 dan 70,685 untuk kelas eksperimen 2. Hasil uji hipotesis memberikan nilai thitung = 1,734252 dan ttabel = 1,6693 dengan dk = 64 dan taraf signifikan  = 0,05 sehingga terlihat yang berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Investigasi Kelompok (Group Investigation).Kata Kunci : Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa, Model Pembelajaran Konteskstual (CTL), Model Pembelajaran Investigasi Kelompok.ABSTRACT This study aims to see that the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts using contextual learning model (CTL) is better than using Group Investigation model in Grade VIII SMP Negeri Pancur Batu. Test result Hypothesis gives tcount = 1,734252 and ttable = 1,6693 with dk = 64 and significant level a = 0.05 so it looks t_hitung (1.734252)> t_tabel (1,6693) which means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It is concluded that the students' understanding of mathematical concepts taught using contextual learning model (CTL) is higher than the ability to comprehend the concepts of mathematics students taught using Group Investigation model. This research is an experimental research with the aim to know: (1) improvement of the average of mathematical representation skills of class VIII student of SMP Negeri 2 Uluiwoi before getting learning with contextual approach; (2) improvement of the average of mathematical representation skills of grade VIII student of SMP Negeri 2 Uluiwoi before getting learning with conventional approach; (3) an average increase in student representation skills taught by a contextual learning approach is better than an increase in the average of mathematical representation skills taught by conventional learning. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Uluiwoi academic year 2016/2017 spread in 2 parallel classes with the number of 46 people. The population consists of two classes, then the sample is chosen by specifying the first class as the experimental class and the second class as the control class, assuming that the two classes are statistically homogeneous. This data collection technique uses test and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of empirical research indicate that; (1) Improvement of mathematical representation skills of class VIIIA students taught by using contextual learning model consisting of 24 students showed average value 46,25 and deviation standard 7,409 with mean increase or average N-Gain value 0, 42 is in the medium category. The improvement of the mathematical representation skills of VIIIB class students taught by using conventional learning model which consist of 22 students shows the average value 49,09 and deviation standard 15,402 with mean increase or average of N-Gain value equal to 0,25 is at low category. Inferential statistical analysis shows that (1) there is an increase in the average ability of students 'mathematical representation after having contextual learning, (2) There is an increase in the average ability of students' mathematical representation after conventional learning, and (3) students' mathematical representation with the application of contextual approach is higher than the conventional learning model in Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Uluiwoi.  Keywords: Improved, Contextual, Conventional, N-Gain, mathematical representation skills.

This study is based on the fact that there is not in accordance with what is expected that the understanding of mathematics concepts of students of class VIII SMPN 2 Sijunjung lesson year 2019/2020 is still lacking. This is caused by the learning process that takes place in the classroom does not actively involve students. Efforts that can be done is to apply cooperative learning model Course Review Horay type (CRH). The purpose of this study was to determine whether the understanding of mathematics concepts of grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Sijunjung by using cooperative learning model of Course Review Horay (CRH) type is better than understanding students' mathematical concept using conventional learning. The data of this research is the final test data of students' mathematical concepts comprehension obtained by giving test to the two sample classes. From the results of the t-test hypothesis analysis, it was obtained tcount = 1.936 and ttable = 1.669, so it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematical concepts of students by using Cooperative Learning Model Course Course Horay Type (CRH) is better than the conventional learning model in students of grade VIII SMPN 2 Sijunjung.

The purpose of this research was to find out the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who were taught with better Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) models than students who were taught with convensional model on the material of flat side space in MTsS Dama Puteh. The CUPs models has three stages including: individual, triplets, and class discussions. The author uses an experimental research design with a quasi-experimental design. Sampling was done using population random sampling. In this study all students of class VIII MTsS Dama Puteh. In this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIIIB as an experimental class and class VIIIA as a control class. Data collection using the ability test mathematical concept understanding of the results showed that based one the t-test obtained tcount = 1,8 and ttable = 1,68. Because tcount > ttable so that it can be concluded that the increased ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students taught with more CUPs models better than students who were taught with convensional models on the material to build flat side spaces in MTsS Dama Puteh.

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this research is: to know the students’ learning outcome and the effect of cooperative learning model group investigation type toward students’ learning outcome on vibration and wave subject grade viii SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam Academic Year 2013/2014. The research method was quasi experiment. The population was all students at class VIII SMP N 1 Lubuk Pakam semester II consist of 8 classes. This research sample use two classes consist of 38 students, class VIII-A as experimental class and class VIII-D as control class and define by cluster random sampling. The data was normal distribution and homogeneity. The result that was obtained: The average value in experimental class after given treatment is 6.750 and the average value in control class after given treatment is 5.697. So it can be concluded that the students’ learning outcome using cooperative learning model group investigation type is better than conventional learning on vibration and wave subject grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam academic year 2013/2014.   Keyword : Group Investigation Model, Students’ Learning Outcome, The Effect Of Group Investigation Model, and Conventional Learning Model.

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to know the understanding of mathematical concepts of students with the use of conceptual attainment model is better than the understanding of students' mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is quasi experimental research. The research design used was randomized subjects posttest only control group design. By selecting a Class VIII-2 sample as an experimental class and class VIII-1 as a control class of analytical techniques using the t-test as a hypothesis test, the prerequisite test is a normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the hypothesis test, t-test, obtained the price tarithmetic = 3.073 and price ttable = -1.997 at the real level of 0.05. Because tarithmetic > ttable, so Ha accepted and H0 rejected. So it can be concluded that the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conceptual learning model attainment better than the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conventional learning model.Keywords: Concept Attainment, Understanding of Concept

Mathematics should be studied systematically and regularly and it must be presented with a clear structure, therefore an appropriate learning approach is needed. One approach to learning in mathematics is metaphorical thinking. This approach can encourage students to think metaphors to understand a mathematical concept. This study aims to determine the effect of the metaphorical thinking approach on understanding mathematical concepts. This type of research is experimental. Research subjects class VIII-E and VIII-F in MTs Negeri 2 Lamongan. The research instrument used to measure understanding of mathematical concepts in the material Surface Area of Flat Side Space is in the form of description. The results showed that students' understanding of mathematical concepts using the metaphorical thinking approach (experimental class) was better than students who used the deductive learning approach (control class). Data analysis used two independent samples t-test which showed a sig value of 0.011 <α = 0.05, then reject Ho. Thus the learning of mathematics in the material Surface Area Build Flat Side Space by using the metaphorical thinking approach affects the understanding of students' mathematical concepts

Abstract: This research is an experimental research. Population in this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Kuala Tungkal Academic Year 2017/2018. Sampling using simple random sampling while the research samples are taken class VIII A and VIII B. where two classes of samples are given different treatment. From the results of research conducted the average value for the experimental class is 80,75 with standard deviation 5,12 and the average control class is 68,12 with standard deviation4,92 and from the results of hypothesis test obtained tcount of 10,1 and ttable of 1,67 at the real level of 0,05. From the calculation it is seen that tcount greather than ttable then H1 accepted. Based on the final result, it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of mathematics students using SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visuallization, Intellectually) learning model is better than the Direct learning model in students of grade VIII SMPN 2 Kuala Tungkal.Keyword: Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy) learning model, Direct Learning Model.

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa masih rendah dan masih banyak yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai teknik berikan uangnya lebih baik daripada hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Jenis penelitan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan random terhadap subjek. Terpilih kelas VIII 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes akhir berbentuk esai dengan reliabilitas tes adalah〖 r〗_11=0,7062. Statistik uji yang digunakan untuk pengujian hipotesis adalah uji t satu pihak. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh t_hitung=1,78 dan t_tabel=1,67 dengan α=0,05, maka t_hitung>t_tabel dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai teknik berikan uangnya lebih baik daripada hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 16 Padang.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Matematika, Model Pembelajaran Berbais Masalah, Teknik Berikan Uangnya.AbstractThe background of this research by outcomes of student study still low and still many students of yet reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The kind of this research is experimental research with design is random by the subject. Selected class VIII 6 as experimental class and VIII 5 as control class. The instruments of this research is test like essay with use reliability r_11= 0,7062. Statistic test used for hypothesis testing is t-test of the parties. Hypothesis test result obtain t_count= 1,78 and t_table= 1,67 with α=0,05, then t_count > t_table so the hypothesis of this research is accepted. AbstractThe research was a quantitative research with experimental method. The population of research were all tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Wiradesa in the 2018/2019 academic year. The research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model to the ability to understand mathematical concepts of Grade X students of SMAN 1 Wiradesa. The results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in classes taught using the AIR learning model achieved classical completeness, and the average value of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the experimental class was better than the average value of the conceptual understanding ability in the control class. Based on these two results, it could be concluded that the application of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model was effective on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of Grade X students of SMAN 1 Wiradesa. Keywords: AIR, the Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts

Abstract. This research was motivated by the understanding of mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu still low. This study aims to determine student’s understanding of mathematical concepts using time token learning model is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using convensional learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu. This study design was randomized control group only design. This study population was students all class VIII, the sample is class VIII3 and VIII4. Data were analyzed using test-t, analysis result obtained tcount > ttable is 2.995 > 2.002, it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematical concepts of student with the use of time token learning model better than an understanding of the mathematical concepts of students with the use of convensional learning in class SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu.Keywords: Time token, understanding of mathematical concepts.
