This research aims to determine the influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understand of mathematical concept students class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The method used in this research is pure experiment. The population is the entire class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau academic year 2016/2017 which amounts to 444 students, as the sample is class VIII.9 as experimental class and class VIII.7 as a control class taken at random. Data collection is done by test technique. Collected data was analyzed using t-test at significant level α = 0,05, obtained tcount > ttable that is 3,48 > 1.67, so it can be concluded that there is significant influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understanding of mathematical concepts student class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The average score of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the final test of the experimental class is 25.23 and the control class is 17.44. This study aims to determine the completeness of the results of learning mathematics Class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau. Having applied guided discovery method. The research method used in this research is a quasi experiment with population class VIII 191 students and as a sample is class VIII F 32 students are taken at random. Data collecting is done by the test technique in the form of essay.Data problem is analyzed using t-test . Based on the results of data analysis on tarap belief α = 0.05 can be concluded that the results of students studying class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau Academic Year 2016/2017 after the average value of the final test of 81.27 and the percentage of complete students reached 82.14% Keywords: Guided Discovery, Learning Outcomes, Mathematics

This research was about Monitor Comprehension Strategy (MCS) to the reading comprehension of students in class 8 SMPN 9 Batam in academic year 2015/2016. The purpose of this study was to find the influence of strategy on reading comprehension of students. To get the purpose of the study, researchers conducted research experiments. 5QAAnumber of students is 210. Researchers used a purposive sampling technique to determine the grade of research. The subject was VIII.4 and VIII.7 classes totaling 30 students each class. Researchers conduct research in two classes. The first class (VIII.4) as experimental class and the second class (VIII.7) as the control class. In analyzing the data researchers used quantitative calculation to find the result. Data were analyzed showed significant differences before getting treatment for an average of 67.50 and 67.17 for the control class. The average score obtained student after getting treatment in the experimental class are 82.50 and 78.50. Based on these result, the use of Monitor comprehension strategy gives significant influence on student’s reading comprehension. Keywords: students’ reading comprehension, monitor comprehension strategy

This study aims to determine the completeness of physics learning outcomes class VIII SMP Ar-Risalah Lubuklinggau academic year 2017/2018 after applied Direct Instruction model. The type of research is quasi-experimental research, with the design used is one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Ar-Risalah Lubuklinggau academic year 2017/2018. The sample of the study consisted of one class taken at random by drawing the class VIII.B. Technique of data collecting using technique of test. Student test score data were analyzed using t-test. Based on the results of the analysis of the final test data obtained t count = 2.84 greater than ttable = 1.703 with the average score of the final test of students amounted to 73.89 and the percentage of complete students reached 82.14%. So it can be concluded that the results of physics learning class VIII SMP Ar-Risalah Lubuklinggau academic year 2017/2018 after the implementation of Direct Instruction model significantly completed. This study aims to determine the completeness of the learning outcomes of Class X students after applying the Direct Instruction model with Prompting Probing techniques in 4 Lubuklinggau Public High Schools in 2018/2019 Academic Year significantly. This type of research is quasi-experimental research carried out without a comparison class. The design used in this study was one group pre-test post-test. The population in the study was all class X students of SMA Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau, amounting to 143 students. Samples were taken randomly, obtained class X.MIA 2, which amounted to 36 students as samples. Data collection is done by test technique. The collected data was analyzed using the t-test at a significant level α = 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the results of physics learning in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau after the Probing Prompting technique were applied were significantly completed. The average score of students' final test is 75.11 and the percentage of students who complete is 80.5%.

This study is based on the fact that there is not in accordance with what is expected that the understanding of mathematics concepts of students of class VIII SMPN 2 Sijunjung lesson year 2019/2020 is still lacking. This is caused by the learning process that takes place in the classroom does not actively involve students. Efforts that can be done is to apply cooperative learning model Course Review Horay type (CRH). The purpose of this study was to determine whether the understanding of mathematics concepts of grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Sijunjung by using cooperative learning model of Course Review Horay (CRH) type is better than understanding students' mathematical concept using conventional learning. The data of this research is the final test data of students' mathematical concepts comprehension obtained by giving test to the two sample classes. From the results of the t-test hypothesis analysis, it was obtained tcount = 1.936 and ttable = 1.669, so it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematical concepts of students by using Cooperative Learning Model Course Course Horay Type (CRH) is better than the conventional learning model in students of grade VIII SMPN 2 Sijunjung.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata setelah diterapkan metode Penemuan Terbimbing dan mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa  ketika diterapkan metode Penemuan Terbimbing. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam 2 kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A yang berjumlah 30 orang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi Prisma dan Limas. Data diperoleh dari tes pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada akhir setiap siklus dan lembar observasi untuk setiap kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Pemahaman konsep matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan. Ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada tes awal yaitu 58,83 dengan tingkat pemahaman rendah. Secara klasikal dari 30 siswa hanya 2 siswa (6,67%) yang mencapai peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep (mencapai nilai  75). Setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa meningkat menjadi 70,91 dengan tingkat pemahaman sedang dan jumlah siswa yang mencapai peningkatan sebanyak 14 siswa (46,67%). Selanjutnya setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa meningkat menjadi 81,91 dengan tingkat pemahaman tinggi dan sebanyak 26 siswa (86,67%) mencapai peningkatan, serta telah mencapai indicator keberhasilan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Penemuan Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada materi Prisma dan Limas.Kata Kunci   : Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep, Metode Penemuan Terbimbing, Prisma dan Limas.ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability to understand the concepts of mathematics students in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata after applied Guided Discovery method and to know the student's learning activity  when applied method of Guided Discovery. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle is held in 2 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII-A  which amounted to 30 people. Objects in this research is an effort to improve the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts on Prism and Limas material in class VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Ajibata academic year 2016/2017. The data were obtained from a comprehension test of students' mathematical concepts at the end of each cycle and an observation sheet for each meeting. The results showed that the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students have increased. This can be seen from the average score of understanding of mathematical concepts of students on the initial test that is 58.83 with low understanding level. Classically of 30 students only 2 students (6.67%) who achieved improvement of concept comprehension ability (reaching value ≥75). After the implementation of the action on the first cycle, the average score of students' mathematical concepts comprehension increased to 70.91 with a moderate level of understanding and the number of students who achieved an increase of 14 students (46.67%). Furthermore, after the implementation of the action in cycle II, the average score of understanding of mathematical concepts of students increased to 81.91 with a high level of understanding and as many as 26 students (86.67%) achieved improvement, and has achieved the indicator of research success. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that Guided Discovery method can improve students' mathematical concept comprehension on Prism and Limas materialKeywords: Ability to Understand Concepts, Guided Discovery Methods, Prisms and Limas.

The purpose of the research was to find out the influence of psychological barriers experienced by the students towards their speaking ability. This research employed quantitative descriptive method. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaire and speaking test. The subjects of the research were the students of class VIII.4 academic year 2016/2017. The data analysis revealed that the students experienced the medium level of psychological barriers. It was shown by the average score of the questionnaire which was 47. Besides, the students’ ability in speaking English need to improve. The average score of the speaking test was 45. The simple linier regression formula discovered that t count = 1,21 > t table = 0,85. Hence, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted which means that there was a significant influence of the students’ psychological barriers towards their speaking ability.

This study aims to determine the Influence of Problem Solving Learning Model on Student Physics Learning Outcomes Class VIII in SMPN 5 Lingsar Academic Year 2012/2013. The type of research used is experimental research. The sample used is 21 person class VIII-A as experiment class and 23 students of class VIIIB as control class and have been determined by random sampling technique. The data in the study were obtained from initial and final tests. Data collection techniques use objective tests that have been tested for validity, reliability, distinguishing power, and difficulty indexes. The result of the data analysis obtained the average score of initial test of experimental class of 34 and 39 for control class. The final test shows an average score of the experimental class of 75 and the control class of 68. The final test data of the students of the sample class were analyzed using the t-test. Results obtained t-test of 119.61 and t-table 2.016. T-count is greater than t-table at 5% error level and db = 42. We conclude that there is a positive effect of using Problem Solving learning model to student physics learning result.

This reseacrh aims to determine the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model on the ability to think cretaively in mathematics in class VIII junior high school students in the estuary of students in the estuary of 2018/2019 academic year two-variable linearequation system (SPLDV). Jenis type of research used is true experimental design in the form of Pre-test and Post-test design. The population used was all students of class VIII of  Muara Beliti state junior high school, consistingof 295 students and as a sample was class VIII.6 with 30 students as dick classes and VIII.8 with 31 students as experimental classes. The data collection was carried out using a test technique in the form of four essay questions with a maximum score of 20. Based on the resultd of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the students creative mathematical thinking ability were obtained  then  is rejected and is accepted, it means that the average score of students cerative thinking ability using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model is more than the average score of students creative thinking ability using conventional learning, namely in the experimental class at 12.97 and in the control class at 5.47.

AbstrakBanyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode deskriptif dengan penelitian kasus. Materi tentang Lingkaran merupakan materi yang terdapat di SMP kelas VIII pada semester genap dan materi ini merupakan salah satu materi yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari hari. Kelas VIII F SMPN 3 Karawang Barat dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes tertulis kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Soal berbentuk uraian yang sebelum digunakan sudah di uji validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata nilai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah 10,06 termasuk dalam kriteria sedang.  Hasil analisis konsep per indikator, diketahui siswa sangat kurang pada indikator menerapkan hubungan antar konsep dan prosedur, kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep secara algoritma. Masih terdapat banyak siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep yang kurang.  Understanding of Mathematical Concepts Class VIII Students in Circle MaterialsAbstractMany students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to understand students' concepts in solving questions on the subject of the Circle. The method used in this research is descriptive method with case research. The material about Circles is the material found in class VIII SMP in the even semester and this material is one of the materials related to daily life. Class VIII F of SMP 3 Karawang Barat was chosen as the research subject. Data collection is done by giving written tests the ability to understand concepts. Questions in the form of descriptions that have been validated before being used. The results of this study show the average value of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is 10.06 which is included in the criteria of being. The results of concept analysis per indicator, it is known that students are very lacking in indicators applying relationships between concepts and procedures, then in applying the concept algorithmically. There are still many students who lack an understanding of concepts.
