This research aims to describe the ability of active/expresive language and passive/ reseptive language of an autistic student and the effort to improve the language itself helped by the teacher and the shadow teacher in a non-govermental school in Medan. This research uses qualitative descriptive with study case of an autistic student in primary second grader , his initial is FR. Technique of data collection are observation, interview, and documentation. Technique of data analysis are data condensation, data display and verification and conclusion. The result of research showed that the ability of active/expressive language of FR still had difficulties in pronouncing, unclear articulation for certain letter such as r, n, ny, l, talk simple, unable to have interaction and communication properly, unable to convey the information, requesting what he needed use incomplete sentence when he got depresion, he needed help in writing. And the ability of passive/ receptive FR still have difficulties to comprehend the sentence he heard, able to understand simple sentence only based on his daily experience, able to answer simple sentence when the question asked is same with the statement, respond the long questions by replying the last sentence only, unable to comprehend the reading. Keyword: Active/expressive, passive/receptive, autistic

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use the method of interview, observation, and documenta-tion. Data analysis is done by condensing data, then presenting data, and conclusions drawn from the data. In checking the validity of the data, researchers use methods, namely extending the time of partici-pation of researchers in the field, increasing persistence of observation, using appropriate reference materials, and reading book tests. The results of the analysis show that the process of applying the Al-Miftah Lil ‘Ulum Method at Madin Wustho Hidayatul Mubtadi’in –Malang City was carried out through several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Among the supporting factors of the learning process and the inhibiting factors to applied it.

This study aims to gain an understanding of the comparison of language styles in a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya and a collection of Nafaskarya Fatimah Musawa poems. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in research using documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques with steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verification. The results of the study show that there are comparisons of comparative language styles and opposing language styles. Comparative language style in the collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmala amounts to 18 data and the language style of contention is 5 data, based on the language style that dominates the collection of Phrase Poems at the End of Season. Whereas the collection of Nafas poems by Fatimah Musawa, namely: Language style comparisons totaling 9 data. While the language style of contention is 11 data. Conclusions, a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya is more dominant in the style of comparison and the collection of Nafas poems by Fatima Musawa has a dominant style of language in opposition. This research was conducted to investigate the most difficult aspect faced by students in writing. The research question addressed in this research was: “what is the most difficult aspect faced by the students in writing?”.The design of this research was a case study. In conducting this research, the researcher took class XI IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Wundulako as a subject of the research with considerable that the class have the low est score in writing. The researcher used two kinds of data collection. They were questionnaire and interview.  The sample of the research was class IX IPA 1 which consisted of 28 students. While in analyzing the data, the researcher analyzed the data of questionnaire by using the formula which proposed by Nazir and for the data of interview the researcher used technique of data analysis proposed Ngabut such as data reduction, data display and verifying and conclusion. In representing the analysis, it was found out that the students of SMAN 1 Wundulako especially in the second grade class XI IPA 1 got four difficulties in writing. They were content organization vocabulary and grammar. From four aspects of three components, the vocabulary mastery aspect was considered as the difficult aspects that faced by the students in writing. The third statement of vocabulary aspect in the questionnaire was a  difficulties that often faced by the students. It was shown by the result of questionnaire and interview with the percentage  3,53  mean  and  writng  test     also  to  support  its  students  lack vocabulary, its concluded students of SMAN 1 Wundulako difficulties in writing.

This study aims to: (1) To find out the implementation of school-based management (2) To find out the organization in the development of the curriculum used in the implementation of school-based management in Katingan Hilir 2 High School. This research was conducted in 2 (two) months, taking place at Katingan Hilir 2 High School, located on Tjilik Riwut km 2.5 road, Kasongan Lama Village. The method used in conducting this research is qualitative with the type of case study. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. To test the objectivity and validity of the data used triangulation techniques, using reference materials, and holding member checks. Data analysis used is data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that at Katingan Hilir 2 High School in Katingan District the implementation of school-based management had gone well. Because this can be done well because of the collaboration between the principal and the board of teachers and the school community.

This study aimed to measure and analyze student quantitative literacy in environmental pollution concept based on six indicators quantitative literacy. This method uses qualitative descriptive. This research was carried out at one of the senior high schools in Tasikmalaya wich is included in one of the schools with cluster one, subject technique was carried out in purposive, whose class has the highest score in biology and mathematics of 30 students. The design used is a case study. This research was done in June 2020. The data collection techniques used to test quantitative literacy refer to the American Colleges and Universities' Association, questionnaire, and interview. Based on data analysis, obtained that of 30 students, two students (6.67%) in the high category, 24 students (80%) in the medium category, and four students (13.33%) in the low category.

This study aims to analyze the types of phoneme sound changes in Bugis, Toraja and Mandarin languages. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with data and data sources from 6 informants, each of whom masters Bugis, Toraja, and Mandar languages. Data collection techniques in this study used listening techniques, note-taking techniques, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study include data display, data reduction, verification, and data inference. The results showed that the types of sound changes in Bugis, Toraja, and Mandarin include lenisi, sound addition, metathesis, and assimilation. Apocope lenisi type is more commonly found in Bugis, Toraja and Mandar languages than syncope. In sound addition, the most common data found were prosthesis data in Bugis and Mandarin. The metathesis type is only found in the comparison of Toraja and Mandarin, and only regressive assimilation types are found in Toraja and Mandarin. From the results of the analysis of the type of sound change, it shows that the Toraja and Mandar languages are closer, compared to the Toraja and Bugis languages.

Language ability is the ability of an individual to make words or sounds that are combined into a complete speech or sentence that can be understood by himself and others. Where individuals can understand speech / language conveyed by others and are able to show or pronounce the language of others. The importance of a teacher's efforts to improve the language skills of students or learners in learning, especially Javanese language learning, must really be done in order to create a quality generation and of course can cultivate the language that becomes their identity. The effort of a teacher in this case is to use the habituation method. This study aims to determine what efforts are made by the teacher inimproving the Javanese language skills of grade V students at MI Miftahul Ulum Pelangwot and to find out what are the supporting factors in improving the Javanese language skills of grade V students at MI Miftahul Ulum Pelangwot. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques used are: observation, interviews and documentation. The author uses data analysis techniques in the form of qualitative descriptive. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the researcher can conclude that the efforts of Javanese language teachers in improving students 'language skills are indeed very important to do. The efforts of Javanese language subject teachers to improve students' language skills are through habituation activities, a teacher always provides an example that can be applied by students, as an effort to improve the language skills of students. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research design. The data in this study are words in the lines and stanzas of Kelong Makassar containing the concept of Makassar local wisdom. The techniques of data collection users are reading, observation and document study. The data analysis technique used in this study is the interactive model of data analysis developed by Miles and Huberman (1992). The data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The data were analyzed to obtain the concept of local wisdom through the meaning of Kelong Makassar. The results of this study reveal the meaning of Kelong based on the review of Michael Riffaterre's indirection of meaning and show that (1) displacement of meaning in this analysis was found through figurative language in the form of metaphor, metonymy, pars pro toto and personification, (2) distortion of meaning was found through ambiguity and contradiction, (3) creation of meaning was found through enjambment and typography.

This study aims to determine the condition of interest in reading books in PGSD UWGM final semester students who are in the process of writing a thesis. This type of research is a qualitative study using a case study approach. The research site is in UWGM Samarinda Campus located at KH. Wahid Hasyim No. 28, Samarinda Utara District,Kaltim Province. Data sources were obtained from students and data from the library and UWGM environment. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are done through data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was also tested using triangulation techniques, namely triangulation techniques. From the results of interviews, observations and documentation obtained a description that by writing a thesis can generate interest in reading students because by reading, students can obtain references and information needed in writing a thesis.Keywords : Interest; Reading; Books; Students

<p><em>Learning activities with the stortelling methood is a learning process that teachers try to develop children’s language skills. Storytelling can foste courage in children by continuing to provide stimulation from direct experience that involves children in learning activities, so it is necessary to prepare storytelling themes so that learning is more creative. The benefits of storytelling are that it helps children’s ability tio listen, children’s imagination power is trained, adds a sense of joy, children will be active and dare to appear in learning. Storytelling is one of the ways children communicate with their peers. The problem in this study is that the child has not paid attention to the words of others, has not been able to understand the contents of the reading that is told, the child has not retold the story that has been heard. This study aims to describe the implementation of language skills through the storytelling method for early childhood friends. Qualitative descriptive is the method used in this research. Data collection techniques using observations, interviews, documentation. The results of data analysis show the implemetation. The results of data analysis show the implementations of the storytelling method in improving children’s language, namely by making lesson plans that can make teaching, directing and educating and stimulating, motivating, by setting a good example to children so that they have languange skill and can increase children’s self-confidence</em></p>
