This study investigated the effect of implementing flipped classrooms on Iranian junior high school students' reading comprehension. To this end, 50 Iranian pre-intermediate students were choosen and randomly assigned into two equal groups; one experimental group (flipped classroom) and one control group (traditional classroom). After that, both groups were pretested through a reading comprehension test. Then, the researchers put the respondents of the experimental group in a flipped classroom. The flipped classroom was equipped with Internet, computer and projector. The students were required to read each text before coming the class and discuss it with their classmates. On the other hand, the control group was taught in the traditional classroom. Before teaching each text, the researchers provided background knowledge for the control group and after teaching each text, the students were required to answer some questions related to the text. The whole treatment lasted 8 sessions of 50 minutes. In the last session, the post-test of reading comprehension was administered. The results of paired and independent samples t-tests indicated that there was a significant difference between the post-tests of the experimental and the control groups. The findings revealed that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group (p < .05) on the post-test.

This study investigated the impact of two teaching strategies of cooperative learning; Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) on reading comprehension achievement of Junior High School students with different reading habits. After 34 students in experimental and control class did a pre-test, they were treated by using TGT and STAD. The students were also assigned into two group reading habits; high and low. The experimental group received treatment of TGT whereas the control group was treated by STAD. Then, a post-test was administered, and its results were analyzed through two-way ANOVA. The results revealed that TGT and STAD are effective in improving students’ reading comprehension where F ratio (28.846) ˃ F table (3.99), but on the other side, students’ reading habit, both high and low, cannot affect students' reading comprehension. It was also concluded that there was no interaction effect between teaching strategies and reading habits on students’ reading comprehension. Keywords: teaching strategies, TGT, STAD, reading habit.

The use of instructional media is one of the teacher's efforts to create maximum teaching and learning processes. Research on the use of integrated audio media Ya Lal Wathan in this study was carried out because the media used were new and had never been used by previous studies. This study aims to compare the effect of Ya Lal Wathan's integrated audio media and power point media on the cognitive abilities of high school students on Kingdom Plantae material. The study design used the Non-equivalent Control Group Design using a purposive sampling technique. We took all of students in MAN 1 Semarang as population and 2 classes as sample. The instruments used were 20 pre-test questions and 20 post-test questions given in power point and integrated audio class. Data were analyzed by Sign Test. The result of the study showed that there was an equally significant effect between two classes. However, students taught by integrated audio got an average grade in the post-test that is higher than the control class so there is a positive tendency that integrated audio media with Ya Lal Wathan is good for application in learning. It is necessary to innovate our audio media for further research.

Reading at the level of interpretive understanding is a student activity to respond, get information and meaning by making inferences and reading between the lines of the reading text. This study reveals the problems, namely: students are not able to identify content words such as verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs from the text, students lack vocabulary, students are not able to answer comprehension questions from the text by applying the List-Group-Label Strategy in the teaching and learning process. reading narrative text. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was a significant effect of List-Group-Label Strategy on Students' Reading Comprehension in Narrative Text. This research is a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were junior high school students and the sample was class VIII students which consisted of two classes as the experimental class and the control class. Each class consists of 30 students. Researchers selected samples using saturated sampling technique. The instrument used in data collection is a written test. Next, the researcher gave a pretest and posttest to the experimental group and the control group to determine the normality of the data and the homogeneity of the sample. After conducting the research, the researcher analyzed the data and produced hypothesis testing, the t-count was 5.067 and the t-table was 2.002. While t-count (5.067) > t-table (2.002), it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of the List-Group-Label Strategy on students' reading comprehension in narrative texts

This study aims to analyze the effect of the concept attainment model with the demonstration method on the mastery of student physical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA in one of the state high schools in West Lombok. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique, so that the sample used in the study was class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA 6 as a control class. The instrument used in this study was in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 21 items. The pre-test results show that the average value of the experimental class is 37,3 and the control class is 35,9. Data analysis techniques using t-test with pre-test and post-test, so that the results of the hypothesis test conducted at the final test obtained t-count of 2,250 and t-table of 2,012. Because t-count is greater than t-table, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, it means that the concept attainment model with the demonstration method affects the mastery of the physics concepts of high school students.
