The world gets quickly covered by networks that enable connectivity and data transfer between digital devices. More than 40% of the world's population has access to the Internet. As digital networks spread around the world and the economic benefits of digitalization increase, we are witnessing a digital transformation. The application of digital technologies supports innovations in business and industry, improves the life standards of citizens and efficiency of public administra-tion. Russia has certain prospects in the development of the national digital economy for develop-ing the information infrastructure, finalizing the regulatory framework and providing this process with the appropriate personnel. The role of IT-technologies in the economy of the Russian Federa-tion is indicated, the rating of the digital economies of the world is presented, in which Russia takes 39th place. There have been considered the basic concepts of the digital economy, defined and classified areas of application of its technologies, identified categories of their application with ex-amples of existing projects of the digital economy. A statistical analysis of the prospects of the Russian digital economy has been conducted; the categories of new jobs in the changing labor market are singled out in the framework of digitalization, as well as of the scope of their application. A particular attention is paid to analysis of the Internet of things technology, which has an impact on the surrounding world, including the labor market. Specialties in the IT industry include various disciplines: computer science, computer engineering, and software development. Vacancies in the changing digital world are conditionally classified: “implementers”, “developers”, “improvers”. Conclusions are drawn as a result of the expansion and widespread introduction of digital technol-ogies on the prospects for the development of the economies of each individual state, the estab-lishment of cooperation between countries and solving of many global problems.

This chapter charts the transition from an analogue to a digital world, its effect on data footprints and shadows, and the growth of data brokers and government use of data. The World Wide Web (WWW) started to change things by making information accessible across the Internet through an easy-to-use, intuitive graphical interface. Using the Internet, people started leaving digital traces. In their everyday lives, their digital shadows were also growing through the use of debit, credit, and store loyalty cards, and captured in government databases which were increasingly digital. Running tandem to the creation of digital lifestyles was the datafication of everyday life. This was evident in a paper which examined the various ways in which digital data was being generated and tracked using indexical codes about people, but also objects, transactions, interactions, and territories, and how these data were being used to govern people and manage organizations. Today, people live in a world of continuous data production, since smart systems generate data in real time.

Chapter 5 focuses on two areas of regulation that have been central to the EU’s efforts to regulate the digital economy: data protection and the regulation of hate speech online. The chapter first reviews the EU legislation governing data protection and explains the economic and political drivers behind it. It then discusses some examples of both the de facto and de jure Brussels Effect on data protection. Then, the focus turns to online hate speech, again reviewing the regulation, the underlying economic and political motivations, as well as examples of how the EU has drawn the line between acceptable and unacceptable speech in the internet era—not just in Europe but around the world.

The consistent evolution of technology around the world creates new production tools and opportunities for different economic agents. As a result, new economic structures are emerging as a result of industrial revolutions. Today, the digital economy is seen as the backbone of the fourth industrial revolution, as there is a clear shift in the underlying technology and signs of a technological and economic paradigm shift. The current stage of the industrial revolution is associated with the Internet communication technologies development, which has significantly changed the technology of business processes and has been called "digitalisation". Thus, the fourth industrial revolution and the third wave of globalisation are based on the digital economy. The article explores trends in the development of the Ukrainian economy under the influence of ubiquitous digitalisation. Digital transformation changes traditional business models of organisations, allowing them to occupy profitable niches in global markets, raising the prestige of business and the state as a whole. In today's environment, the level of digitalisation illustrates the degree of companies' competitiveness and is a determining factor in development strategy. To analyse the processes of digitalisation and determine the place of Ukraine in the digital world, the article identifies and describes four zones of digital transformation, which are particular to the world economies. It is determined that Ukraine has fallen into a zone of prospective economies, where digital infrastructure is limited. Still, digital development is accelerating, indicating the potential for digitalisation to flourish, which will benefit economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and long-term transformation. Ukraine's integral digital transformation index score is placed at 2.81 out of a possible 5 in 2021. It was determined that the main barriers to the digital transformation development in Ukrainian business include ineffective legislation, insufficient funding and low digital literacy of the population. However, the highest score among the index components was given to companies' overall level of digital transformation. A positive result of the survey is confirmation of increased investment in the digital technologies development in Ukraine: priority investments in this area include customer interaction, data analytics and HR management.

From being able to speak with whomever you want, whenever you want, wherever you are on your smartphone, to tapping away on your laptop, through to spending hours each day on the internet, the world we live in is firmly digital and it now shapes the way we experience life. When it comes to circuits, analog still has a hugely important role to play. Circuit designer Associate Professor Nobukazu Takai is leading a team of researchers who are applying machine learning to analog circuit design. They are the first team to do this anywhere in the world and, using their method, computers are able to learn how to improve their own circuit specifications.

The digital world is a field of information and entertainment for users and a field of extraction of the most valuable good of recent years: personal data. How much of a threat to privacy is the collection and processing of data by third parties and what do people think about it? On the occasion of the extensive methods of surveilling citizens and collecting their data, this study attempts to contribute new empirical data evidence from the international research on the use of the Internet by the World Internet Project on attitudes and behaviors of individuals regarding online privacy and surveillance. The aim is to determine whether and to what extent the recorded concerns about the violation of privacy intersects with a growing acceptance of its very absence.

The article deals with the problem of interaction between generations in the emerging digital age. With the introduction of digital technologies into everyday life, qualitatively new conditions for the existence of society are formed, what affects the interaction of generations. Based on the following classification of generations – the “book” generation, the “TV” generation, the “Internet” generation – which have different value attitudes, specific ways of organizing work, communication, forming value ideas and priorities, different ways of experiencing life in general, the authors explore the characteristic features of a new generation. These include the problem of freedom and transparency of existence in the world of gadgets. The article also discusses the problem of communication in the presence of an intermediary – a gadget that sets its own rules of social interaction, including short communications aimed at achieving fractional, rapid goals, what leads to the situativeness of human existence in the digital world. The next problem that follows from the previous one is the problem of personality and its self-determination, which is expressed in the presence of polyidentities. The fourth characteristic feature is a specific way of getting information. The turn-of-the-century generation is also characterized by the absence of a “big hero” and the absence of a “big goal” that people of previous generations aspired to. As a way to achieve intergenerational consensus, we propose the formation of a multi-figurative culture in which all the generations which we have identified participate equally.

Introduction. In 2021 the labor market takes on a new format. Under the influence of various factors, a new social and labor platform “Trud” is being formed. The COVID-19 virus pandemic has dealt a devastating blow to the economy and the world of work in all countries and in the world in particular, causing triple consequences for eco­nomic growth - a supply shock, a demand shock, and an international trade shock. Three main phe­nomena of our time - demography - XXI, globaliza­tion - XXI and "Industry 4.0" have changed and continue to radically change the world of econom­ics, institutions and the world of society [18]. Digi­talization, virtualization of the economy, its hybrid nature, the emergence of various modifications - platform economy, on-demand economy, general consumption economy, gig economy - transform not only the social and labor space [19]. Changes are taking place in the entire social structure of the economy and society, the classic lines between pro­ducers and consumers, workers and employers are being erased; the former polarity of relations and interdependence between the owners of labor and owners of capital is changing. Thus, the social stra­tum of the new digital economy and network socie­ty is acquiring the character of non-classical, atypi­cal, dynamic and unstable forms. The whole system of social and labor relations in the labor market is becoming the same. In the short term, in the econ­omy and society as a whole, under the influence of information and communication and other break­through technologies, the growth of the availability of digital infrastructure, certain changes will occur in the labor market, in this connection, the article highlights groups of technologies that will signifi­cantly affect it: cognitive technologies, cloud tech­nologies, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, Internet of things, Big Date, blockchain, quantum technologies, neurotechnologies, virtual reality technologies. It has been proven that technologies have already rapidly entered human life, radically changing the conditions of life, motivational at­titudes, and the value of forming the competitive­ness of labor resources. Thus, the transformations taking place in the social and labor sphere under the influence of information and communication technologies, network systems, other resources and institutions of the new digital economy are a com­plete, comprehensive transformation of values, mo­tivational attitudes, hierarchies, sources of develop­ment, resource structure, forms and technologies. interaction, forms and scale of employment, level, structure, income differentiation.Materials and methods. The study was car­ried out on the basis of the following methodologi­cal framework, namely: an integrated approach, a systematic approach, methods of comparative, situational analysis and synthesis, a method of abstract-logical assessment, a method of concre­tization, methods of detailing, typology, grouping, systematization and generalization, induction and deduction, methods of statistical analysis, graphi­cal method.Research results. As a result of the study, an assessment was made of the potential for intra-in­dustry polarization, taking into account the use of information and communication technologies (here­inafter - ICT). It has been proven that information and communication technologies replace individual tasks that are performed by people; respectively, in the market the share of highly qualified experts as well as low-skilled service personnel will increase.The proportion of workers who used ICT in their activities is identified. It was determined that in Russia the maximum number of workers who used ICT in their professional activities were employed in the fields of information and telecommunica­tions, as well as scientific and technical activities. Indicators of the share of workers who used ICTs that were close to the average for Russia were noted in industry, the minimum use of ICTs was in the field of transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities, in the field of water supply. As a result, this made it possible to identify a number of enter­prises with the maximum potential for introducing the latest breakthrough technologies and for refor­matting the structure of the employed population.Discussion and conclusion. The role of the skills and competencies of workers necessary for the formation of competitive labor resources and over­coming various challenges in the labor market is revealed. A core of skills and competencies for effec­tive employment is proposed based on the O*NET content model. It has been proved that promoting the development of non-routine skills is the most relevant strategy for the formation of the competi­tiveness of labor resources in the context of digital and post-viral trends in the transformation of so­ciety. Non-routine social skills related to employee interpersonal interactions and social perception are complemented by ICT applications, with the aim of empowering human capabilities with technology.

With the development of modern agriculture construction, various types of supporting agriculture automation equipment began to use and achieved good economic benefits, at the same time, linkage, information transfer between the various devices become the bottleneck to limit the scale of agricultural production. In this paper, the research object, describes the control, the temperature in the greenhouse automation equipment in humidity control, ventilation system, irrigation system, automation equipment and its linkage, linkage alarm mechanism, the Internet of things technology control system model and the hardware and software realization scheme is given based on. Finally through the network implementation of the joint of various types of equipment and system control and alarm in the greenhouse, avoids some potential risks in agricultural production, saving the modern agricultural production cost and management cost.
