The Asian Productivity Organisation developed Green Productivity (GP) as a strategy to leverage the power of productivity in order to improve the quality of our environment. GP can foster the creative exchange between people to (i) achieve a better quality of life for all, (ii) support social justice and fairness for citizenry, and (iii) enhance prosperity for theirenterprises. This study aims to demonstrate the GP “Success in Six” model on a company that has been in the bottled water industry for over 52 years and manufactures its own 3- and 5-gallon bottled water. Through the model, we perform a „walk through survey‟ method to generate and evaluate GP options with the assistance of an eco-map, i.e., a tool for mapping where the location of environmental problems and inefficiencies lie. Subsequently, we leverage on Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA) as a quantitative tool to provide recommendations that increase their resource productivity and reduce operational costs. From the analysis and through a material flow profit-and-loss statement, we observe that the proportion of positive products to negative products was 77% to 23%. The GP recommendation resulted in a 55% raw material cost reduction and 10% increase in recycling earnings.

Nowadays, the development of industry is increasing very rapidly. It can be known as the high competition between companies. Not only large and international scaled companies, small and medium-sized companies are also face the same challenges in the global competition. Therefore, the companies need to conduct a quality control to maintain the quality of products produced and to achiece the conformance to specifications of product that has standardized by the company policies in order to improve the customer satisfaction. PT Amanah Insanillahia is a company involved in the bottled water industry. Based on the preliminary study, it shown the quality control only conducted to check the number of defective products produced without further evaluation and analysis. Therefore, there is a need to analyze the data of defective products produced and evaluate the results. The purpose of this study is to analyze the nonconformity product of the bottled water 600 ml brand PRIM-A. The p-chart is used in this research to analyze the number of defective products. Then, the fishbone diagram is used to analyze the causes of defective products. The results show that there is no data out of the control limits and mostly the data near in the central line of the p-chart. Using the fishbone diagram, it concluded that factors of man, machines, materials, methods, and environment are the causes of nonconformity products of the bottled water 600 ml brand PRIM-A. It is hoped this study will beneficial for the company to improve the product quality as well as to increase the customer satisfaction.Key Words:Bottled water, nonconformity, p-chart, quality, fishbone diagram AbstrakDewasa ini perkembangan dunia industri bergerak sangat pesat. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa pengendalian kualitas hanya dilakukan dalam batas pengecekan jumlah produk cacat yang dihasilkan tanpa dievaluasi maupun dianalisis lebih lanjut. Oleh karena itu perlu untuk menganalisis data produk cacat yang dihasilkan dan mengevaluasi hasilnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis ketidaksesuaian produk air minum kemasan botol 600 ml merek PRIM-A. Peta p digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis jumlah produk yang cacat. Kemudian diagram fishbone digunakan untuk menganalisis penyebab ketidaksesuaian produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat data yang keluar batas kontrol dan sebagian besar produk berada didekat garis tengah dari Peta kendali p. Dari diagram fishbone didapatkan bahwa faktor manusia, mesin, bahan baku, metode, dan lingkungan merupakan penyebab ketidaksesuaian produk air minum kemasan botol 600 ml merek PRIM-A. Abstract Along with the emergence of competitors, shoe industry companies continue to strive to produce the best products for consumers. One effort that can be made by the company is to reduce the number of product failures by choosing the quality of raw material for shoe leather. Manufacturing companies are accustomed to improving the quality and reliability of products, and the process through preventing failure of quality shoes production is a priority of a company engaged in the leather shoes industry. The main priority for shoe industry companies is to pay attention to the raw material of shoes from snake skin, the size of snake skin, the physicality of snake skin and the color of snake skin used in the production process. In this determination the method of Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), which method is one method that can be used for the problem of Fu zzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (Fuzzy MADM). The Fuzyy SAW method is applied to maximize the decisions that will be taken, several supporting criteria, the weight for each criterion is also given after it is determined the normalization value from the calculation of the criteria is divided by the maximum value of each criterion and then calculated to determine the alternative ranking value to determine the skin type which snake is the best. This article intends to verify the existence of strategic alignment between the operational sectors and the executive board of the company studied in relation to the logistic process of company Copagra of the Nova Londrina-PR. The theoretical reference describe about strategy and strategic alignment. The data collection was through semi-structured interview. Data processing occurred by agglutination of material collected according to the categories of analysis. The results tell that the agricultural sector seems aligned with the organizational objectives with respect to increase production capacity and strategic reduction of operational costs. Was also found indirect alignment with improving the quality of alcohol produced, increasing the efficiency of the fleet and improve operational efficiency. Alignment has not been found to meet alcohol specific market. Regarding the alignment distillery was found only in relation to meet specific markets of alcohol. Found was indirect alignment with the objective of improving operational efficiency. Was not found alignment with the objectives to increase production capacity, strategic cost reduction and increased efficiency of the fleet. This way it seems that agricultural sector seems more closely aligned with organizational objectives when compared to a distillery. The most relevant theoretical contributions are related the fact that organizational objetives can not be backed in any organization since the departamental objetices may not meet te organization´s objetives.

The microbiological quality of bottled water sold in Canada was evaluated. A total of 114 lots of bottled water, both domestic and imported, were analyzed for aerobic colony count, coliforms, fecal coliforms, and Escherichia coli. No fecal coliforms or E. coli were found. Nineteen (46%) of the 41 lots of domestic purified water were found to exceed aerobic colony count standards and another lot exceeded coliform standards. One lot each of domestic and imported mineral water exceeded coliform standards. If mineral water were governed by the aerobic colony count standards for bottled water, then five lots each of both domestic and imported mineral water would have been found to be unsatisfactory. More surveillance of the bottled water industry in Canada is recommended.

AbstractA356 is one of the widely used aluminium casting alloy that has been used in both sand and die casting processes. Large amounts of scrap metal can be generated from the runner systems and feeders. In addition, chips are generated in the machined parts. The surface area with regard to weight of chips is so high that it makes these scraps difficult to melt. Although there are several techniques evolved to remedy this problem, yet the problem lies in the quality of the recycled raw material. Since recycling of these scrap is quite important due to the advantages like energy saving and cost reduction in the final product, in this work, the recycling efficiency and casting quality were investigated. Three types of charges were prepared for casting: %100 primary ingot, %100 scrap aluminium and fifty-fifty scrap aluminium and primary ingot mixture were used. Melt quality was determined by calculating bifilm index by using reduced pressure test. Tensile test samples were produced by casting both from sand and die moulds. Relationship between bifilm index and tensile strength were determined as an indication of correlation of melt quality. It was found that untreated chips decrease the casting quality significantly. Therefore, prior to charging the chips into the furnace for melting, a series of cleaning processes has to be used in order to achieve good quality products.

PT. Eterindo Nusa Graha is a company engaged in basic chemical industry that produces synthetic resins and glycerine. One of the raw material for production of synthetic resins is DOP produced 45,000 tons/year. One adjuvant DOP is sodium hydroxide liquid. The raw material is supplied by several companies so that in choosing a major supplier to supply sodium hidroxide is important. Sodium hydroxide liquid supplied by Manunggal indah, Toya indo, and Surya Makmur. In reality the quality of raw materials are sometimes less suitable and delays in delivery have an impact on the production process. So that needs to be measured to determine the supplier's performance. Supplier selection is expected to suit the needs of PT. Eterindo Nusa Graha. This study aims to determine the criteria and sub-criteria supplier selection according to the needs of companies and provides the results of decision-making for the selection of the supplier company. The method used in this study is used AHP weighting of the criteria and sub-criteria and TOPSIS. The results of the research produced 6 criteria and 14 sub-criteria. Of AHP, the weight of the biggest criteria is Quality (0.38651) and Delivery (0.17208), while from TOPSIS method produces major supplier PT. Manunggal indah with positive ideal distance value 0.008558653 and negative ideal distance value 0.04522.

Nowadays, in Colombia, specifically in the north-eastern, in Santander region, the process of mixing the ceramic paste used to manufacture masonry products for construction (H- 10 bricks, tiles, roof tiles, etc.) is done manually. For this reason, approximately 70% of the companies do not possess the technological tools which facilitate the prediction of the behavior of the raw material (clay). The main objective of this research is to formulate mixtures at a laboratory-level in order to verify the physical properties of ceramic raw materials used by a company which was takenas a sample. The research development was carried out through the execution of tests and laboratory analysis, taking into account the formulation of mixtures with the help of Statgraphics Centurion XV software in order to obtain combinations of raw materials according to the requirements of the current standard techniques. The results demonstrate the importance of using statistical programs for the improvement of systems and processes, predicting the behavior of raw materials as well as conducting pilot tests, taking into account the laboratory analyses in the ceramic industry. Conclusions: The results show that the mixture combinations obtained have the necessary parameters to meet the current standards such as resistance and absorption, which will optimize the economic and physical resources of the company, as well as the quality of the final product.

Human resources are the main capital in a company. The high employee's ability, the high performance of the organization. Conversely the low ability of employees, the low performance of the organization. Order management activities goes well, organizations must have employees who are competent to manage the organization optimally so that employee performance increases. Various efforts should be made firm for human resource development in order to increase employee competence. So that the work can be more creative and productive, and can improve employee performance. But it also needs to be supported by the provision of adequate compensation so will result in optimal performance. Granting and improving the quality of human resources through training programs will have an impact on improving the knowledge, skills and experience or changes in individual attitudes that will ultimately have an impact on employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation and competency of employees to increase employee performance, either simultaneously or partially, as well as discussed descriptively. The method used is a survey method. The unit of analysis in this study were employees of PT. Timah Investasi Mineral totaling 50 people, as well as the census was taken. The findings of this study are compensated influence on employee performance in PT. Timah Investasi Mineral and influence is significant. Compensation and employee competency together a significant effect in improving employee performance in PT. Timah Investasi Mineral. However, compensation is more dominant than competence in influencing employee performance.

<h1 align="center">ABSTRAK</h1><p>Salah satu hasil perikanan yang mudah rusak/busuk atau bersifat <em>perishable food</em><em> </em>adalah  rajungan (<em>Portunus pelagicus</em> Linn). Terjadinya pembusukan setelah binatang tersebut mati  akan berlangsung cepat jika penanganan pasca panen tidak dilakukan dengan baik. Aktivitas enzim dan bakteri merupakan penyebab utama penurunan mutu daging rajungan. Daya beli konsumen terhadap produk daging rajungan kalengan ditentukan oleh mutu daging rajungan sebagai bahan baku produk kalengan tersebut.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  mengkaji penerapan GMP (<em>Good Manufacturing Practice</em>) miniplant pengupasan rajungan dan mutu daging rajungan secara organoleptik (kenampakan, bau, cita rasa, dan tekstur daging) dan Mikrobiologis (TPC). Penelitian deskriptif dengan  menggunakan metode survei melalui observasi, dan wawancara, Subyek penelitian adalah 7 miniplant pengupasan rajungan yang terdapat di Kabupaten Tuban. Analisa data  dengan membandingkan kondisi hasil survey dengan pedoman GMP dan Analisis fisik yang dilakukan, meliputi uji organoleptik pada rajungan segar dan daging rajungan setelah pengupasan di mini plant Selain itu, uji. Analisis mikrobiologi dilakukan pada rajungan segar dan daging rajungan setelah pengupasan di miniplant pengupasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mutu secara organoleptik daging rajungan segar dan matang adalah 8,6 dan 7,9. Nilai TPC daging rajungan segar sebesar 2,6 X 10<sup>4 </sup>sedangkan nilai TPC daging rajungan matang 3,7 X 10<sup>5 </sup>Hasil penelitian penerapan GMP menunjukkan kesesuaian <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">≥</span> 70% pada alur proses pengupasan rajungan yaitu penerimaan bahan baku, sortasi, perebusan, dan penyimpanan, sedangkan pada alur proses pengupasan, pengecekan akhir, pengemasan, dan penyetoran ke pabrik pengalengan menunjukkan hasil kurang sesuai yaitu ≤ 70%.</p><p> </p><p>Kata kunci : <em>Miniplant Pengupasan Rajungan, </em><em>GMP, Organoleptik, Mikrobiologis</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><h1 align="center">ABSTRACT</h1><p> </p><pre>      One of the most perishable food products is the crab (<em>Portunus pelagicus</em> Linn).. Enzyme and bacterial activity is a major cause of deterioration in the quality of crab meat.The purchasing power of consumers towards canned crab meat products is determined by the quality of crab meat as raw material for canned products. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of GMP (<em>Good Manufacturing Practice</em>) miniplant stripping crab and the quality of organoleptic crab meat (appearance, smell, taste, and texture of meat) and Microbiological (TPC). Descriptive research using survey method through observation, and interview, Research subject is 7 miniplant stripping crabs found in Tuban. Data analysis by comparing condition of survey result with GMP guidance and Physical analysis conducted, including organoleptic test on fresh crabs and crab meat after stripping at mini plant In addition, test. Microbiological analysis was performed on fresh crabs and crab meat after stripping at stripping miniplant. The results showed that the organoleptic quality of fresh and ripe crab meat was 8.6 and 7.9. Companies are constantly seeking to implement continuous improvements in all sectors, seeking to build a relationship of reliability with their customers by improving the quality of their products. Given this scenario, this study aims to apply the power increase of a power supply to optimize a process. The implementation was made in a company of the industrial center of Manaus-AM. The proposal presented in this paper, points implementation of maintenance improvements, adaptation in the power supply and cost reduction.
