As several studies reveal there are strong relationships between emotional intelligence and the academic competences and on the other side, between emotional intelligence and adaptive behavior. The present study aims to demonstrate the relationship between emotional intelligence and adaptive skills, mainly in the social area in children with hearing disabilities. On the other hand, we focused on the relationships that could be established between the type of the disability, the hearing aids and the adaptive skills. Our findings showed that there is no significant correlation between emotional intelligence and adaptive skills and between the adaptive skills in the school setting and the degree of hearing disabilities, as well as the type of prosthesis. These results are there to confirm other findings which emphasize the fact that children with hearing disabilities have about the same social skills as the typically developed and in the same time they have no significant delays regarding the level of socio-emotional adaptability.

It was considered necessary to conduct a literature review with the following objective: Determine the relationship between social skills and alcohol consumption. As a result of the theoretical review carried out, it was possible to identify that numerous authors emphasize that social skills are important protective factors against alcohol consumption. On the other hand, the deficit in social skills is associated with the appearance of substance use. In addition, there are studies that point to the social incompetence of adolescents and young people as a risk factor for alcohol abuse. In this regard, several researchers have emphasized that training in social skills should be part of behavioral treatments for individuals with alcohol problems and also have to integrate preventive programs. In conclusion, the research carried out has made it possible to deduce that the strengthening of social skills can contribute to improving the resistance to pressure from the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, and therefore to the prevention of this scourge. It is concluded, therefore, that social skills training could be an option, not only for the treatment of people with alcoholism or other addiction problem but also as a prevention factor.

This study has been aimed to find out the correlation emotional intelligence and Rhtype. The simple sizes were 35 undergraduate and graduate of Abadan Oil College with the cluster sampling.The correlation between emotional intelligence and P/N blood groups was 0.085 and it does not accept by standard statistics. We enter the other variable as emotional intelligence groups. The correlation between Rh type and emotional intelligence groups was 0.136 and this correlation in 0/2 significance level had been reported significant.The result was tested by t test, and analysis shown significance difference.it was found that scattering of Rh type was not equal on EI.As well as positive groups can receive upper scores of EI than negative ones and negatives groups have less scores of EI the other. In fact most positives have scores between "114-148", means that they can perch in the medium and high groups of EI.

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between executive functions and adaptive behavior in girls with Fragile X syndrome (FXS) in the school setting. This study is part of a larger investigation conducted at the Hospital Parc Tauli in Sabadell. The sample consists of a total of 40 girls (26 with FXS and 14 control) aged 7–16 years, who were administered different neuropsychological tests (WISC-V, NEPSY-II, WCST, TOL) and questionnaires answered by teachers (ABAS-II, BRIEF 2, ADHD Rating Scale). The results show that there is a greater interaction between some areas of executive function (cognitive flexibility, auditory attention, and visual abstraction capacity) and certain areas of adaptive behavior (conceptual, practical, social, and total domains) in the FXS group than in the control group. These results suggest that an alteration in the executive functions was affecting the daily functioning of the girls with FXS to a greater extent.

Why Jesus studies? Present-day historical Jesus studies are the epistemological product of what has become known as the New Historicism. The aim of the article is to emphasize two aspects of the New Historicism as epistemological approach. The one aspect focuses on the profitability of this endeavour and the other on the historical nature of the New Historicism. As far as profitability is concerned, the social standing and identity of the researcher are emphasized. Among otherthings, the social interests of the researcher are taken into account. Concerning the historical nature of this kind of research, a distinction is drawn between the Jesus of history and the Jesus of faith. The aim of the article is to gain clarity on the relationship between the Jesus of history (pre-Easter) and the Jesus of faith (post-Easter). J D Crossan's exposition of the reasons for Jesus studies is followed. He distinguishes three reasons: historical, ethical and theological.

The present study aimed to reveal the relationship between the quality of space programs watched by children and the social skills of these children،  the study is also trying to identify the relationship between the number of hours watching this space programs and the social skills for these children. The study used a descriptive approach،  the study sample consisted of 215 boys and girls aged between 9- 12 years schools of Al- Dammam in Saudi Arabia،  the researcher used to identify children's programs television watched by children،  where the researcher in this study on the method of analysis of variance One-way Analysis of Variance and Scheffe test for multiple comparisons Multiple Comparison،  which resulted in findings on the lack of social skills for different dimensions: emotional sensitivity،  emotional and adjustment،  and the overall degree of social skills depending on the type of space programs that children watch. In addition to the lack of different social skills for the dimensions: emotional expression،  sensitivity،  emotionality،  and social expression،  and social sensitivity،  and the overall degree of social skills،  while the different settings of emotional and social adjustment depending on the number of hours watching TV channels،  for children who watch satellite channels less.

In this chapter, the authors investigate the social skills that school principals ought to exhibit in order to be more effective in the complex environment that characterizes modern schools. Thus, the main aim of this chapter is to provide an in-depth exploration of those social skills that are needed in order for school principals to become more flexible to external and internal requirements and to balance the need for change with stability. Therefore, an attempt is made to investigate the linkages between school leadership, emotional intelligence, political skill, and teachers' job satisfaction, as well as to examine the correlation of emotional and political skills of principals with the job satisfaction of their teachers.

This article explores the repeated invocation of the spiritual by Vivekananda, Gandhi and Radhakrishnan. It attempts to understand the nature of the relationship they established between the spiritual and the secular domains while invoking the spiritual. The article argues that what was distinctive about frequent usage of the spiritual was its usage to articulate both the secular and the otherworldly goals in different ways. Moreover, none of them are strictly secular, if it means differentiation of the social and political domain from religion on the one hand and rise of ‘exclusive humanism’ on the other. For them, the domain of secular is the domain of realizing the spiritual. They are not two separate domains but constituted an integral whole where the activities of secular were defined and redefined in the light of the quest for the spiritual and vice versa.

AbstractThe aim of this research is to examine the relationship between social intelligence and loneliness of academics in the workplace. This study involves 326 (149 female/177 male) academics employed in various universities in Turkey and North Cyprus. The age average of participants is 39.09 years. In this study, the Loneliness at Work Scale (LAWS) and Tromso Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) have been utilized. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient analysis techniques. The findings showed that social information processing, social skills, and social awareness, which are the sub-dimensions of social intelligence, positively explained 26% of social deprivation. Social skills and social awareness positively explained 13% of social companionship. The findings also showed that the social information processing sub-dimension did not meaningfully explain social companionship.
