The article is devoted to the study of the category of the game and its embodiment in the form of specific game techniques in discourse. The research material was the work of M. Ende «Der Spiegel im Spiegel». The novelty of the research is seen in the fact that the combined connections of artistic stories form irrational worlds. The relevance of the study is due to the growing interest of researchers in the surrealist reflection of reality in a literary text. It is shown in the work that play is a process of personality formation and a kind of free human activity. Special attention is paid to the theoretical analysis of fairytale discourse. The principle of semantic and compositional connection of individual works of the cycle of stories is brought into consideration. The article deals with the issues of realization by characters of literary texts of the key parameters of play and non-play in mythological discourse. Attention is paid to the main variants of human behavior. The question is also raised about the physical properties of mirrors, which are implicit markers of various symbols. Special attention is paid to the spherical mirror. It is shown that M. Ende’s work is based on the principle of the panoramic reflection effect.

The article is devoted to the study of code switching mechanisms in terms of language contacts in the space of literary texts. It considers the main concepts of the code switching theory. The research focuses on the classification of code switching functions in the space of a literary text (based on the novel Shantaram by G. D. Roberts). The relevance of the study is determined by the usage of modern literary text as a research material. The literary text is at the same time a product of “artistic communication in the culture of post-literacy” [1, 57] and a linguistic object that represents the literary norms of various languages, as well as dialects and colloquial forms of the languages presented. The article highlights the causes and goals of using various codes within the framework of a single communicative act in bilingual speech. As a result, the functional and linguistic features of code switching are analyzed and various classifications are described. Keywords: code, code switching, multilingualism, language contacts, communicative act

Echoes of war in press and literary accountsThe article is devoted to the names of the sounds whose purpose was to describe the hearing of the war in press and literary texts. There are generic names sound, detonation explosives, the sound of strokes, the sounds of people, and the definition of silence in the texts. The research material allows to distinguish three types of wars: a the modern with the sounds of aircraft and other equipment and explosions of bombs; b the old war with the sounds of the weapons, the screams of people and the sounds of animals, and c the war in the future — cosmic and yet not fully documented. The literary text describes more different situations, including more vocabulary and adjective terms. Press releases, albeit more numerous, have a lower number of different sound names and more modest adjectives.

The article examines the peculiarities of representation of personality of the author via linguistic means of literary text. Definition is given to the concept of “author's modality”, which implies the author’s vision, attitude, and value orientations expressed through selection of particular language means. The subject of this research is the linguistic peculiarities of literary text, which allowed the audience to portray the image of the author, and analyze the specifics of representation her linguistic personality. The goal of this research consists in determination of language means that reflects the peculiarities of the author’s linguistic personality, as well as reveal individuality and distinctness of literary style of N. Abgaryan. The research material is comprised of the partially biographical novels of the contemporary Russian writer Narine Abgaryan “Manyunya”, “Manyunya Writes a Fantastic Novel”, and "Manyunya, Ba Jubilee, and other Tribulation”. The analysis is based on the methodological toolset of the theory of linguistic personality proposed by Y. N. Karaulov, literary studies of V. V. Vinogradov, M. M. Bakhtin, L. N. Churilina, etc., dedicated to the author, analysis of linguistic personality of the character of literary work. The scientific novelty of consists in identification of specific manifestations of  author's modality on the example of works of the contemporary Russian writer, which allows fully revealing the image of a modern author. The conducted research highlights and characterize specific features of linguistic implementation of author's modality: priority concepts in the author's worldview (“family”, “time”, “memory”); individuality of creative perception and manners of the author (irony, self-irony, nostalgia, description of tastes and smells); authorial transitions (remarks, references); visual arrangement of the text. The acquired results can be used in the lectures on studying literary texts, classes on linguoculturology, linguopersonology, as well as teaching Russian to foreign audience.

Introduction. The article discloses the importance of conducting psycholinguistic analysis of perceiving and understanding voluminous literary texts by philology students; the issue is relevant as there is a lack of research that concerns revealing the essential aspects of these processes, as well as the influence of conducting psycholinguistic analysis on effective performance in philology students’ professional activities is highlighted. The goal of the article is to conduct a theoretical analysis of the problem of perceiving and understanding literary texts by philology students and identify the level of development of future teachers of language and literature individual practical skills on decoding the content of a large prose fictional text. Methods. To achieve the goal, the authors used theoretical and empirical research methods. Empirical methods included methodology for determining semantic kernels of a text and its probabilistic connection, and methodology for determining the subtext, motives of the author and characters. Results. Theoretical analysis of the problem led the authors to conclusion that the processes of perceiving and understanding large literary text by philology students are based on two main components: cognitive skills and personal emotional feelings. The process of a literary text perceiving includes such structural elements as the reader’s orientation and the type of student’s work with a literary text, depends on students’ personal professional neoformations (reading competence, speech-cognitive competence), and is also influenced with philology student’s psychological type. The results of empirical study conducted by the authors indicate that future teachers of language have following developed reproductive skills with voluminous literary texts: they at a high level reproduce factual information of a text, can accurately convey an emotional load of a literary work, determine its theme, main idea, etc. Conclusions. The productive types of voluminous literary texts understanding associated with the definition of subtext, motives of the author and characters are mastered by philological students in a rather limited degree and this fact necessitates following studying underlying mechanisms of these processes functioning and developing tools for its targeted progress.

Abstract What sort of object is a literary text? From a phenomenological point of view - phenomenology considered as both a radical theory of reading and a theory of radical reading - a range of answers arise, many of them tinged with deconstructive momentum. This paper aims at pointing out some basic issues in reading literary texts, offering ten theses on the enduring tasks of phenomenological literary theory.

A large number of works are devoted to the development of the skin and hair cover of sheep, depending on their breed affiliation, age, feeding conditions and housing. The authors point out that along with other conditions the quality of wool and wool clip is greatly influenced by the conditions of the feeding of animals. A high level of feeding increases the wool clip and improves the quality of the wool and vice versa a low level reduces, causes thinning and worsens other physical properties of the wool. As is known, one of the significant factors that determine the increase in wool clip is the size of the animal and, consequently, the total area of the skin. The purpose of the research was to investigate the morphological traits of the development of the skin and wool cover in sheep of Prikatunsky meat and wool type. The research material was wool samples from four topographic areas of the animal’s body (side/thigh/back/belly) and skin (side) of different sex and age groups, selected from the animals of the studied groups. In the course of research, the quality of wool and indicators of the histostructure of the skin of Prikatunsky meat and wool type of sheep have been investigated. In terms of thick-haired of wool, replacement rams and gimbers of Prikatunsky meat and wool type of sheep were superior by 4,82 pcs. per mm² or 19,0 % and 4,41 pcs. per mm² or 15,8 % of adult animals, respectively. Balance secondary follicles/primary follicles in young animals were higher by 10,3 and 17,3 % compared to breeding rams and ewes. The wool of the replacement young animals was thinner by 7,28 and 4,78 microns and they were more thick-haired. The obtained data will be used in the mating campaign when mating program rams in order to improve the sheep of Prikatunsky meat and wool type.

Abstract The study is a continuation of the first part of the publication, concerning the theoretical analysis of sensitivity of rheological models of dynamically stretched thread. This part presents the experimental research on the characteristics of stretching forces as a function of time, in the context of comparing the obtained results with theoretical data. The selected research material was three types of polyester silk threads with linear densities 84, 110 and 334 dtex. During the tests, threads of 400 to 1300 mm were stretched at speeds in the range of V ∈ [0.65, 1.47] m/s, which corresponds to the knitting speed n ∈ [700, 1600] courses/min. An original measuring device for empirical identification of dynamic processes of threads stretching was used during the tests. In total, 36 tests variants were performed. The procedures of mathematical equivalence were also worked out for the rheological models of Kelvin-Voigt, Zener and the three-parameter Standard model 2, which enabled the description of threads stretching phenomena in technological processes with the help of generalized rheological model, taking into account the visco-elastic qualities of threads. Experimental results showed that for the assumed deformation speeds ε(t) ∈ [0.53, 4.00] 1/s, the open three-parameter models – Standard model 2 and Zener model most reliably describe the stretching process.

It is a common fashion in literary criticism, or 'Lit Crit,' to treat reality, human behaviour, communication, and everything else as though they were 'texts to be read.' This paper proposes to go the other way: it interprets literature (or, more precisely, one literary text, Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead) as a part of reality in which several other layers of the real combine, such as linguistics, science, or other literary texts, most notably Hamlet. While Edward II is not generally considered a direct source for Stoppard's play, this paper shows how, in the wider perspective of 'interreality,' Marlowe's tragedy might interact with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. At the same time it is proved that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, contrary to the critical conception of many, is not a parasitic work 'feeding off' Elizabethan playwrights, but a play that enters a symbiotic relationship with its host (as defined by Hillis Miller).

Existence and nonexistence of death in the semantic picture of reality and artistic text on the material of romans Leonid Leonov Road to the Ocean and Maxim Gorkogo The Life of Klim SamginIn this article the problem of death is unfolding in the semantic space of its ontological and existential conception in reality and a literary text. On the one hand, death as the concept of being is presented as its continuation, spiritual content, confirmation. On the other hand, death as a concept of non-being is considered as nothingness, rejection of being and its spiritual content. In reality the concept of death becomes an issue of the questionary and transcendental philosophy, that takes place in the physical time and metaphysical space of thought and expression. When the matter concerns the death of human being, his death acquires an ontological status of being, a status of spiritual significance. In the contrary case, it is possible to consider death and even life in terms of the concepts of being and nothingness. In literary texts the concept of death is also considered to be being or non-being, but taking into account constitutive characteristics of the text, its figurative and notional polysemant, the concept of death acquires not only aesthetic but also conceptual focus. In the article the main points of the topic of death, its being and non-being, are illustrated on the examples of specific literary texts.
