This study aims to find the influence of ICT media and the ability to think critically about science literacy skills of elementary school students. This research was conducted in class V SDN Kebon Kacang 01 Jakarta. The research design used experimental method with treatment by level 2 x 2. Data analysis was carried out using 2-way variance analysis (ANOVA). The results of this study are (1) the existence of different literacy skills of students who learn to use ICT Flash media with ICT Power Point Media. (2) There is an interaction between ICT media and critical thinking ability to science literacy ability of elementary school students. (3) Science literacy ability of students who have high critical thinking ability using ICT Flash media is higher than students having high critical thinking ability using ICT Power Point Media. (4) science literacy ability of students with low critical thinking ability using ICT Flash media is lower than students having low critical thinking ability using ICT Power Point Media.

ABSTRACTThis research had purpose to know of proper from development result of teaching material using scientific approach orientation in learning society (IPS) of Elementary School. The component validity consists of materials, presentation, languages, design, the implementation of learning, students learning outcome, and students respons.The type of this study is a research development. The development model used 4-D model (Four-D Model). The procedure is starting by defining development, design, and development. The subjects of this study are the students of S1 PGSD STKIP Modern Ngawi. 10 students (at the firts experiments ) and 32 students ( at second Experiments). Collecting data using observation, test, and questionnaires. The result of the study development result of teaching material using scientific approach orientation in learning society (IPS) of Elementary School are scoring  from (1) the validity of the feasibility of component material, linguistic, and the presentation, also the validation from the expert’s lectur so, the module of lesson are on decent category. (2)the teaching materials from SAP implemented excellent so it can support to increased learning activities. (3) The students give positive response and the average of cognitive achievement increases. The cognitive invidual students and classical result increase it’s mean that it’s accordance with the guidelines STKIP ratings Modern Ngawi. Based on the research of result we concluded that development of teaching material using scientific approach orientation in society learning (IPS) of Elementary School were proper, practical, and effective to improve the students learning outcome in College. Keywords: Teaching Material, Scientific Approach, Society Learning (IPS). ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan hasil pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berorientasi Pendekatan Saintifik dari validitas komponen materi, penyajian, kebahasaan, kegrafikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar serta respon mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4-D (Four-D Model). Prosedur pengembangan dilakukan sampai tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 PGSD STKIP Modern Ngawi sebanyak 10 mahasiswa (ujicoba 1) dan 32 mahasiswa (ujicoba 2). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa data kualitas Bahan  Ajar Berorientasi Pendekatan Saintifik pada Mata Kuliah Pembelajaran IPS yang dikembangkan dinilai dari (1) validitas kelayakan komponen materi, kebahasaan, penyajian serta kegrafikan dari hasil validasi yang dilakukan dosen ahli dengan kategori sangat layak. (2)  bahan ajar dari keterlaksanaan SAP yang dilaksanakan dosen sangat baik yang mendukung peningkatan kegiatan pembelajaran. (3) respon mahasiswa ditanggapi dengan positif dan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif meningkat. Ketuntasan hasil belajar mahasiswa secara individu maupun klasikal dapat tuntas sesuai dengan pedoman penilaian STKIP Modern Ngawi.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berorientasi Pendekatan Saintifik pada Mata Kuliah Pembelajaran IPS SD layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Kata Kunci : Buku Ajar, Pembelajaran Saintifik , Pembelajaran IPS SD.

Education never get out of adequate facilities and infrastructure. These can support education. One of them is the using of teaching material. The limiting of it makes students have one handbook only and learn by using it, so they don’t practice enough on working other math problems. With these problems, researcher is encouraged to develop mathematical module cube and block with a scientific approach for 5th grade elementary school. Type of this research is research and development (R&D) with aim to know that development of mathematical cubes and block module with scientific approach for 5th grade is feasible or not. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of the development of mathematical cubes and blocks modules with the scientific approach are said to be very feasible with a percentage of 84 from material expert, 81,34 from module expert, 83 from 5th grade teacher and 95,10 from 5th grade students.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran 5E terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik kemampuan literasi sains berdasarkan kategori daya nalar siswa yaitu nominal, fungsional, konseptual/prosedural dan multidimensional. Penelitian ini tergolong eksperimen semu dengan pola Pre-Test dan Post-Test Group Design. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IX SMPN 1 Kuripan tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel kelas dipilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas IX-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX-B sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan sampel berjumlah 50 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan literasi sains berupa soal uraian. Data kemampuan literasi sains dianalisis secara kualitatif dan dikatagorikan menjadi 4 yaitu katagori nominal, fungsional, konseptual/prosedural dan multidiminsional. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran 5E terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik berada pada 4 kategori  yaitu katagori nominal sebanyak  7,6%, fungsional sebanyak 26,9,  konceptual/prosedural sebanyak 53,8%  dan  multidiminsional  sebanyak 11,5% sedangkan pada kelas yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran 5E terintegrasi pendekatan saintifik berada pada 2  kategori yaitu katagori nominal sebanyak 70,8% dan katagori fungsional sebanyak 29,1%..Kata-kata Kunci: 5E, pendekatan saintifik, kemampuan literasi sains Abstract: The aim of this research is to know the effect of the 5E teaching model integrated scientific approach towards ability of science literacy based on category of nominal, functional, conceptual/procedural and multidimensional. This research is classified as quasi-experimental, with Pre-Test dan Post-Test Group Design. The population of this research were all the nine grade students of junior high school 1 Kuripan academic year 2016/2017. The class sample was taken by using purposive sampling in which IX-A became the experimental class and IX-B became the control class, with number of sample 50 students. The instruments that is used the data was ability of literacy science in form of essay. The date ability of literacy science was analyzed by using kualitative and  was category became 4 on on category of nominal, functional, conceptual/procedural and multidimensional. The result of research  showed the ability of literacy scince data showed that percentage of student implemetation  the 5E teaching model integrated scientific approach in the nominal 0f 7,6%, fungsional of 26,9%,  konceptual/prosedural of 53,8%  dan  multidiminsional  of ,5%, while the class not implemetation  the 5E teaching model integrated scientific approach in the nominal  category of 70,8% dan fungsional catagory of 29,1%.Keywords: 5E, scientific approach, ability of science literacy

Abstract The research aims to improve the competence of teachers PAI SD in Piyungan Bantul Regency in drawing up scientific approach based RPP. This Research Action Research shaped the school (School Action Research) collaboration between researchers and teachers. This research uses descriptive method with engineering workshop to see improvement happening from cycle to cycle the results showed that coaching through the workshop can enhance teacher competencies PAI SD in district Piyungan Bantul Regency in preparation of the RPP by using scientific approach. Increased value and competence that occurs after the execution of the workshop teachers PAI elementary school in kecamatan Piyungan Bantul Regency was amounting to 43 points. This can be seen from the results of the calculation of the increase in the average value of a participant on one cycle only gets 69 points or 2.3 later increased to 112 or 3.7 indicating is in compliance with the criteria and expectations of researchers.   Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAI SD di Kecamatan Piyungan Kabupaten Bantul dalam menyusun RPP berbasis pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah (School Action Research) hasil kerjasama antara peneliti dan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik workshop untuk melihat peningkatan yang terjadi dari siklus ke siklus Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa pembinaan melalui workshop dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAI SD di kecamatan Piyungan Kabupaten Bantul dalam penyusunan RPP dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Peningkatan nilai dan kompetensi yang terjadi setelah pelaksanaan workshop guru PAI SD di kecamatan Piyungan kabupaten Bantul adalah sebesar 43 poin. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari hasil perhitungan kenaikan rata-rata nilai peserta yang pada siklus satu hanya mendapatkan 69 poin atau 2,3 kemudian meningkat menjadi 112 atau 3,7 yang mengindikasikan sudah sesuai dengan kriteria dan harapan peneliti.

This article presents the results of the administration of the Nelson-Denny Reading Test to three populations: (1) two groups of elementary school teachers assigned for inservice training, (2) elementary school teachers who volunteered for inservice training and also volunteered to participate in a research study, and (3) teachers participating in a summer institute. Findings indicate minimum functional literacy skills among some teachers assigned to inservice training, and evidence that even some participants in teacher trainer institutes function at levels barely literate. These findings indicate the necessity for more strict evaluation of persons completing preservice training, applying for teacher certification, applying for continuing contracts, and serving in the classroom.

Background:We tested a low-cost and scalable set of classroom equipment, called Active Classroom Equipment, which was designed to promote physical activity while children learn. We hypothesized the Active Classroom Equipment would be associated with increased physical activity without impairing learning.Methods:Fourteen first-grade students in a public elementary school (7 females, 7 males, aged 6.9 ± (SD) 0.4 years, 24 ± 5.4 kg, BMI 15.8 ± 2.6 kg/m2) used the Active Classroom Equipment for 30 minutes each day throughout the school year. Five-day physical activity was measured using validated triaxial accelerometers at baseline (before the intervention began) and on 4 sequential occasions during the 9-month intervention.Results:For the baseline period, 5-day physical activity averaged 157 ± 65 AU/min. When the 14 children accessed the Active Classroom Equipment, their mean 5-day physical activity was 229 ± 103 Acceleration Units (AU)/min (P < .0001). There were sequential increases in physical activity over the 9-month intervention (Quarter 1: 163 ± 94 AU/min, Quarter 2: 227 ± 108 AU/min, Quarter 3: 278 ± 61 AU/min, Quarter 4: 305 ± 65 AU/min). Students’ Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) scores improved.Conclusion:Active Classroom Equipment may be one approach to increase physical activity.
