In a pre-writing phase, students need their creativity to put ideas into words. Students need to use what they listen to and what they read as information to start to write. This study reports the findings on the implementation of the collaborative writing method by an English teacher in teaching writing in the pre-writing phase and students' perceptions in the pre-writing phase using the collaborative writing method. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Participants in this study were nine students and teachers at SMK in Karawang. Data collection was carried out through reflective journals, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the collaborative writing method was an effective method for use in writing classes. The collaborative writing method can be implemented in teaching writing in the pre-writing phase. The results showed that the students were very enthusiastic, interested, and made the learning process fast. Students' perceptions of learning to write in the pre-writing phase using the collaborative writing method are that students find it easier to express their thoughts in the learning process and there is cooperation in groups that accelerate the time when doing their assignments helps them during the learning process.

This scientific paper discusses several aspects, including: learning strategies at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Gempol. In the research process this time using descriptive qualitative research, data collection techniques used data collection techniques by means of direct interviews with the principal of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Gempol. This study aims to determine the changes in the learning system at SD Muhanmadiyah 2 Gempol and the learning strategies. In addition, the learning process must have a lot of challenges in implementing the programs that have been set by the school, especially in the current state of the covid-19 pandemic. Like many who are constrained by the current learning process, or other conditions. But even so, SD Muhammadiyah 2 Gempol continues to carry out the program and pays attention to the existing obstacles by utilizing technology for learning media in the school. Therefore, the learning process at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Gempol can continue to run even though there are several obstacles that can be solved with existing strategies.

This research aims at improving the writing learning process of the tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Jiwan through closed group Facebook. This research used descriptive qualitative research and data collected using methodological triangulation. Then, to collect the data, researcher needs a technique that is called technique of collecting data. There were observation, interview and documentation.Based on the result of this research, Closed Group Facebook is more interesting than write on paper, helps the students to active in teaching writing, makes easier to share problem in their writing, can increase the students’ interest to learn writing, makes the students easily understand their mistake in writing by giving friend’s feedback in the comment, makes the students enjoy in learning writing.Meanwhile, the disadvantages are first, Closed Group Facebook only can be accessed if there is quota internet or access wi-fi. The second, students’ activity can not be controlled by the teacher when they are opening Facebook or when they operate their gadget. It can be concluded that using closed group Facebook can improve students’ writing skill. The last, the researcher also gives the suggestion for the teacher, students, school, and future researcher that they should do better research.

The study deals with teacher questions during teaching learning process in SMK Tunas Jaya Tanah Jawa. The objectives of the study were to find out the types of questions used classification of questions based on Richards and Lockhart, and to reveal the reasons of questions that English teacher asked in the classroom used Richards and Lockhart’s reasons why teacher asked questions. The design of the research was a descriptive-qualitative research. The data were the transcriptions of teaching learning process collected by recording the observation and interview. The result showed that teacher asked three types of questions; convergent questions, procedural questions and divergent questions. The reasons why teacher asked questions were (a) to check students’ understanding, (b) to encourage students to think and focus on the lesson, (c) to encourage students’ participation in a lesson, (d) to clarify what student has said, (e) to elicit particular structures and vocabulary items, and (f) to stimulate and maintain students’ interest. It could be concluded that teacher asked many questions during teaching learning process and it could be a good technique for classroom interactions but it would make students bored, if teacher didn’t prepare well all the questions. Teacher should be aware of asking question for the students to consider the question type, and the reasons why the question should be asked

This study aims to analyze the 'amil nashab contained in the Qur'an juz 1 and its implementation in qawa'id learning in class 8D SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Waru. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. And data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation.The results of this study are: in the science of qawa'id there are 8 kinds of amil nashab, namely: أن، لن، إذن، كى، لام التعليل، لام الجحود، حتى، الجواب بالفاء والواو. As for what is contained in the Qur'an juz 1 is as much as 4 kinds, namely: أن، لن، لام التعليل، حتى. The method used in learning qawa'id in Arabic subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Waru is deductive in nature (qiyasi), which is a method that begins with the presentation of the rules and then examples. In the learning process the teacher explains about 'Amil Nashab to students using power point learning media and in addition to providing examples from books the teacher also looks for examples from the verses of the Qur'an.

AbstractThis study aims to describe the existence by Christian Religion Teacher (PAK) in the learning process during the covid-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive qualitative study. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews with online questionnaires through the telegram group Guru PAK Indonesia which consists of 880 members. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out in 2 stages, in the first stage 421 PAK teachers were the main respondents and the second questionnaire was distributed as many as 581 PAK teachers to obtain supporting data. From the results of the study, it was found that the existence of PAK teachers in learning was different, some were in a situation of smooth internet access, some were in areas that were not smooth and in areas where there was no internet access. Poor internet access, limited economic capacity and limited understanding of ICT are obstacles faced by many PAK teachers in learning. House-to-house learning, assignments, taking part in online workshops, learning on their own from the internet or even asking for help from peers are efforts made by PAK teachers to remain able to carry out their responsibilities as a professional PAK teacher in carrying out learning amid Covid- 19. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi guru PAK dalam pembelajaran di tengah pandemi Covid-19.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara online melalui grup telegram Guru PAK Indonesia yang beranggotakan 880orang.Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan dengan 2 tahapan, pada tahap pertama 421 orang guru PAK menjadi responden utama dan penyebaran kuesioner kedua sebanyak 581 orang guru PAK untuk mendapatkan data pendukung. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keberadaan guru PAK dalam pembelajaran berbeda-beda, ada yang berada dalam situasi akses internet yang lancar, ada yang berada di daerah yang kurang lancar dan di daerah yang tidak ada akses internet. Akses internet yang kurang baik, kemampuan ekonomi yang terbatas dan pemahaman TIK yang masih terbatas menjadi kendala yang dihadapi oleh banyak guru PAK dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dari rumah ke rumah, penugasan, mengikuti kegiatan workshop online, belajar sendiri dari internet atau bahkan meminta bantuan dari teman sejawat menjadi upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PAK agar tetap mampu melakukan tanggung jawab sebagai seorang guru PAK yang profesional  dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di tengah Covid-19.

This study aims to determine the online learning process at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangil during the Covid-19 pandemic, whether it is effective or not, as well as what difficulties teachers and students experience during the online learning process, then how do students respond to this online learning with using descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through interviews and observations with teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangil with the result that the information needed is about the learning processin SMA Muhammadiyah Bangil during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely by using the online learning method. With the conclusion that the learning process at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangil uses an online learning system.

This study was aimed at finding out thestudents’ perceptions about the implementation of brain-writing in teaching writing recount text.In order to support the data analysis, the writers used the theory from Sadker and Ellen (2007, p. 6)about the steps in implementing brain writing technique in teaching recount text. Furthermore, in conducting this study the writers used qualitative research in which case study was employed to collect the data from participants in this research that was English teacher who taught recount text through brain-writing technique. Moreover, interview was the instrument used by the writers in collecting the data, then the data analyzed qualitatively. Based on the research findingsthe writersconcluded that the teacher did some steps in implementing brain-writing including. Overall, the steps in implementing brain-writing was relevant with the theory from Sadker, Ellen (2007, p. 6).The second conclusion was about student’s perception in implementing brain-writing technique in teaching writing recount text, the writers concluded that the students viewed the teaching-learning process of recount text through brain-writing technique was enjoy activities that not only improve students’ motivation and students’ achievement.Moreover, the writers suggests that the further researcher to investigate students’ difficulties on the use brain-writing technique in teaching writing

This research aimed is to describe students' logical-mathematical intelligence through project-based learning. This study was descriptive qualitative research. Participants in this research are students of class XI school in Meulaboh for one class that is class XI-1. The data is students answer that was obtained from the logical-mathematical intelligence test. The data collected by using multiple intelligence tests and student answers results obtained from the task of logical-mathematical intelligence during the project-based learning process. The results show that in general logical-mathematical intelligence during project-based learning each group meets a minimum of four out of five aspects of logical-mathematical intelligence. Thus, the logical-mathematical intelligence of students developing after the implementation of the project-based learning.

This article aims to describe: the implementation of the SQ3R model to the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts in grade IV students of SDN Ganung Kidul 1 Nganjuk in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This article is an descriptive qualitative research carried out through five stages, namely: (1) data collection; (2) determination of the sample; (3) recording data; (4) reduction; and (5) drawing conclusions. Data sources in this article are journals and books relating to the learning of the SQ3R model on learning to examine the characters contained in fiction texts. These data provide an overview of the application of the SQ3R model on the ability to examine the characters contained in fictional texts. Furthermore, the object of the research is the learning model SQ3R with a subject of 22 students. The conclusion of the article shows that: this SQ3R model is very good to be applied to the basic competencies of Indonesian language class IV semester II, namely the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts.

Writing skill is one of the skills that is difficult to learn because we have to know the correct sentence composition and also what we hear must be in accordance with what we write and therefore this skill is very important to learn. The objective of the research is to identify the sudents’ responses toward think talk write (TTW) strategy in teacihng writing skill. The research used descriptive qualitative design. The respondents of this research were eighth grade students of SMP Pasundan 1 Cimahi. The instrument of this research was questionnaire. The result of data analysis shows that students gave positive responses toward TTW strategy. The respondents agree that TTW strategy can increase students’ motivation, TTW Strategy can help students in improving their writing skill and TTW strategy can make teaching and learning process interesting. Keywords:  Writing, Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy, Student’s Responses
