This research aims at improving the writing learning process of the tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Jiwan through closed group Facebook. This research used descriptive qualitative research and data collected using methodological triangulation. Then, to collect the data, researcher needs a technique that is called technique of collecting data. There were observation, interview and documentation.Based on the result of this research, Closed Group Facebook is more interesting than write on paper, helps the students to active in teaching writing, makes easier to share problem in their writing, can increase the students’ interest to learn writing, makes the students easily understand their mistake in writing by giving friend’s feedback in the comment, makes the students enjoy in learning writing.Meanwhile, the disadvantages are first, Closed Group Facebook only can be accessed if there is quota internet or access wi-fi. The second, students’ activity can not be controlled by the teacher when they are opening Facebook or when they operate their gadget. It can be concluded that using closed group Facebook can improve students’ writing skill. The last, the researcher also gives the suggestion for the teacher, students, school, and future researcher that they should do better research.

Writing skill is one of the skills that is difficult to learn because we have to know the correct sentence composition and also what we hear must be in accordance with what we write and therefore this skill is very important to learn. The objective of the research is to identify the sudents’ responses toward think talk write (TTW) strategy in teacihng writing skill. The research used descriptive qualitative design. The respondents of this research were eighth grade students of SMP Pasundan 1 Cimahi. The instrument of this research was questionnaire. The result of data analysis shows that students gave positive responses toward TTW strategy. The respondents agree that TTW strategy can increase students’ motivation, TTW Strategy can help students in improving their writing skill and TTW strategy can make teaching and learning process interesting. Keywords:  Writing, Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy, Student’s Responses

In a pre-writing phase, students need their creativity to put ideas into words. Students need to use what they listen to and what they read as information to start to write. This study reports the findings on the implementation of the collaborative writing method by an English teacher in teaching writing in the pre-writing phase and students' perceptions in the pre-writing phase using the collaborative writing method. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Participants in this study were nine students and teachers at SMK in Karawang. Data collection was carried out through reflective journals, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the collaborative writing method was an effective method for use in writing classes. The collaborative writing method can be implemented in teaching writing in the pre-writing phase. The results showed that the students were very enthusiastic, interested, and made the learning process fast. Students' perceptions of learning to write in the pre-writing phase using the collaborative writing method are that students find it easier to express their thoughts in the learning process and there is cooperation in groups that accelerate the time when doing their assignments helps them during the learning process.

<p>The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of Picture Word Inductive Model and also to know the advantages and disadvantages of Picture Word Inductive Model in teaching writing. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this research is the seven grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Maospati. The sample of this research is the students of class 7i that consists of 30 students, with the technique of sampling using purposive sampling. The data collections are gotten from observation, interview and documentation. In analysing the data, the researcher uses (1) reducing data, (2) displaying data, and (3) conclusion or verification. The result of the analysis shows that: in applying the Picture Word Inductive Model, the teacher gives explanation about descriptive text and the definition of Picture word inductive model and give example by showing the pictures. Before the teacher asked the students to write it by themselves, the teacher gives example how to write based on the picture. The advantages of the implementation of Picture word inductive model are the students are active, enjoy, have good enthusiasm in the teaching and learning process and the students can write easily because they have found the word in the picture. The implementation of PWIM also helps to increase students’ ability in writing skill. The disadvantages of this research are the students have difficulty in making sentences and it needs more time to teach writing using that strategy in teaching learning process. Based on the result of the research, the researcher gives suggestions to the teacher, students and readers. The teachers should be creative to teach the students, so the lesson will be more interesting.</p>

Researcher Conducted research on Diniyah madrasah education which consisted of two classes for volume one and two consisting of 65 students and for volume three and four consisting of 32 students. In this study, the objectives are first to determine the effectiveness in the learning process of lilbanin morals, second to determine the effectiveness in shaping the morals of students in learning lil banin morals. descriptive qualitative research type. The conclusion is that the effectiveness of lil banin moral learning is quite good and has been very effective even though learning the lil banin book is a yellow book learning, so that the delivery of material is easy to understand by using attractive and appropriate methods such as exemplary methods, refraction, sorogan, wetonan, bandungan and memorization so that achieved in the formation of santri morals.

The swift flow of globalization has led to increasingly eroded Indonesian local culturalvalues. This has caused a shift in neglected cultural values and local wisdom. Therefore,an approach is needed, namely ethnoscience in the learning process. This studypurposed to determine whether The Elementary School of Muhammadiyah Alam SuryaMentari has applied ethnoscience in science learning and describe the implementationof ethnoscience based on science learning in The Elementary School of MuhammadiyahAlam Surya Mentari.The method used was descriptive qualitative research design. Theresults of the study showed that the planning of science learning based on ethnoscienceapproach in This School was still unplanned, but the school had unconsciously implementedethnoscience approach. The implementation of science based on ethnosciencelearning was by integrating between the material with the environment, culture, and socialin the environment. Evaluation of the implementation of ethnoscience based on sciencelearning included cognitive, affective, and psychomotor evaluation in accordance withevaluation standards in the 2013 curriculum.

<p>Riddle game is one of the good techniques in teaching speaking. The objectives of this research are to describe the application of riddle game in teaching speaking, identify the advantages, identify the disadvantages and identify the solution of disadvantages of riddle game.</p><p>The researcher uses descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data taken from participants, social situation and document. In this research, the researcher uses purposive sampling. To collect the data, there are observation, interview and documentation. Data validity is triangulation. The data are analyzed by using condensation, display the data, verification and conclusion.</p>The result of this research are (1) the application of riddle game in teaching speaking is divided into three steps: (a) pre-activities (b) whilst-activities (c) post-activities (2) The advantages of riddle game in teaching speaking makes the students active in learning process, happy, increase their vocabulary, able to pronounce some words well and confident to retell the story (3) The disadvantages: makes the class crowded and riddle game has limited time (4) The solution of disadvantages of riddle game is the teacher can manage the time well and able to control the students well in order to make a good atmosphere of the class.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic forced many universities to apply online learning. The purpose of this study was to break down the online learning process in the early pandemic as well as effective and optimal online learning. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Interestingly, this study found online learning using the WhatsApp Group to be the most effective in the early COVID-19 pandemic. WhatsApp is easy, simple, and does not require a large data quota package. Through WhatsApp accounts, learning took place optimally because students and lecturers could communicate and share PowerPoint files, Microsoft Word files, JPGs, Voice Notes, Videos, and other learning resource links. The study recommends that other researchers uncover the solution to obstacles experienced by students in online learning and the development of other media to implement effective online lectures.

This study aims to describe students' responses toward the implementation of Mindomo in writing description text at seventh-grade students in Cimahi. This study used descriptive qualitative methods. The participant of the study is 33 students’ junior high school in Cimahi. The result of this study showed that the implementation of Mindomo in teaching writing descriptive text gave positive responses to  81,80%. This positive response was shown with the enthusiasm of students during the learning process. Aspects of attention get the largest average score of around 24.54, which shows students are more interested in the learning process of writing using the Mindomo application. Besides, the aspect of confidence and satisfaction get the lowest score 12, it can be seen that the students are lack of confidence and have a fear of writing.

This study attempts to answer three research questionsdealing with the use of video inteachingwriting procedure text. The questions are;   1) How is the use of video in teaching writing procedure text? , 2) How are the students’ writing after the use of video?, and 3) How are the students’ responses towards the use of video in teaching writing procedure text?.Since this study was descriptive qualitative study, the writer would describe and analyze the existing phenomena during the study.  Furthermore, there were three kinds of instruments used in this study. They were observation checklist, students’ writing, and questionnaire.Based on the findings, the writer noticed that the use of video mostly had the same activities although it was done in three meetings.   The notes were about the analysis of teacher’s activity, students’ activity, teaching and learning process, material, and media used.  In addition, the use of video helped students to create procedure text based on its generic structures and language features. Meanwhile, the result of students’ responses showed that the students were mostly interested in video viewing and agreed that video was helpful in getting the ideas to write.

This study concerned with the teacher�s strategies in learning speaking English. This research is focused on how the teacher overcomes the students� weaknesses in learning speaking English when implementing Time Token Arends method. By using a descriptive qualitative research within a teacher of MA Al-Bairuny as a subject of its research found that: (1) the student had difficulty in inhibition such as: difficulty in starting to speak because of being worried of making mistakes, difficulty in answering the question from the teacher, and they felt nervous and shy to speak in front of the class. (1) The teacher used �Look in the Face� strategy to overcome the difficulties; (2) the teacher used �Communication� strategies to overcome the students� difficulties in nothing to say, such as: students had no idea to speak, student got difficulty to express what he wanted to speak, and student had no bravery to express their thought; (3) the teacher used �Interdependence� strategies to overcome the students� difficulties in un-event participant; (4) the teacher used �Responsibility� strategies to overcome students� difficulties in mother tongue used, such as: students felt easier for communication each other using Java Language, so they ignored the teacher�s instruction for speaking English; (5) then, after the learning process, teacher made a schedule for this group to evaluate their teamwork process in order to give them motivation and evaluation. Thus, the students� improvement on their speaking skill has been the aim of the research.
