China is known as one of the most diverse centres of wild Iris resources in the world, there are 60 species, 13 varieties, and five forms distributed in southwest, northwest, and northeast China. The goal of this study was to describe the distribution, collection, and evaluation of Iris species collected in southwest China. Wild populations were identified and classified into 23 species, two varieties, and one form based on their morphological characteristics. We discovered some species with new distribution and characteristics. Furthermore, we also used the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method with 16 indicator points to evaluate the collected Iris resources based on their ornamental value, utilization potential, and ecological adaptability. The results showed that I. pseudacorus, I. delavayi, I. germanica, I. wilsonii, I. sibirica, and I. tectorum had excellent ornamental characters and best suited for sustained exploitation. This research also provided a good theoretical guidance and an important reference value for the application of Iris plants in landscaping and provided suggestions for the conservation and utilization of wild Iris resources.

With the rapid growth of the World Wide Web comes the need for a fast and accurate way to reach the information required. Search engines play an important role in retrieving the required information for users. Ranking algorithms are an important step in search engines so that the user could retrieve the pages most relevant to his query In this work, the authors present a method for utilizing genealogical information from ontology to find the suitable hierarchical concepts for query extension, and ranking web pages based on semantic relations of the hierarchical concepts related to query terms, taking into consideration the hierarchical relations of domain searched (sibling, synonyms and hyponyms) by different weighting based on AHP method. So, it provides an accurate solution for ranking documents when compared to the three common methods.

Corona virus (Covid-19) is a new virus that has spread to many countries in the world, including Indonesia in 2020. This virus has spread to all provinces in Indonesia. The 3 provinces with the highest number of cases are DKI Jakarta, East Java and Java West. Currently, the ranking of areas affected by Covid-19 is only done based on the confirmed number of each province. Therefore, this study aims to rank the affected areas of Covid-19 using the Analytical Hierarchy Process, Simple Additive Weighting and Weighted Product methods. The combination is done based on the advantages of each method. The AHP method is used to analyze the criteria to produce criteria with good consistency, then the ranking process of each alternative is carried out using the SAW and WP methods. This research is expected to provide recommendations for the affected areas to make various efforts to reduce the confirmed figures. Keywords:Analytical Hierarchy Process; Decision Support System; Simple Additive Weighting; Weighted Product.

This chapter presents two examples to demonstrate that natural history is the necessary basis of any reliable understanding of the world. More than a half century ago, Rachel Carson revolutionized the public’s view of pesticides. The foundation of her success was the careful use of natural history data, collated from across North America. The examples she assembled left little doubt that DDT and other pesticides were causing a widespread decline in birds. More recently, the case for the impact of atrazine on wildlife was based on laboratory experiments, without the advantage of natural history observations. For atrazine, natural history observations now suggest that other chemical agents are more likely to be responsible for feminization of wildlife populations. Developing expectations for scientists to collect natural history information can help to avoid over-extrapolating lab results to wild populations, a tendency often seen when those lab results conform to preconceptions about chemicals in the environment.

Abstract Introduction Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is the most common gastrointestinal neoplasm in the world, accounting for 15% of cancer-related deaths. This condition is related to different molecular pathways, among them the recently described serrated pathway, whose characteristic entities, serrated lesions, have undergone important changes in their names and diagnostic criteria in the past thirty years. The multiplicity of denominations and criteria over the last years may be responsible for the low interobserver concordance (IOC) described in the literature. Objectives The present study aims to describe the evolution in classification of serrated lesions, based on the last three publications of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the reproducibility of these criteria by pathologists, based on the evaluation of the IOC. Methods A search was conducted in the PubMed, ResearchGate and Portal Capes databases, with the following terms: sessile serrated lesion; serrated lesions; serrated adenoma; interobserver concordance; and reproducibility. Articles published since 1990 were researched. Results and Discussion The classification of serrated lesions in the past thirty years showed different denominations and diagnostic criteria. The reproducibility and IOC of these criteria in the literature, based on the kappa coefficient, varied in most studies, from very poor to moderate. Conclusions Interobserver concordance and the reproducibility of microscopic criteria may represent a limitation for the diagnosis and appropriate management of these lesions. It is necessary to investigate diagnostic tools to improve the performance of the pathologist's evaluation, for better concordance, and, consequently, adequate diagnosis and treatment.
