AbstractPresentation skills are one of the most important tools that are required on numerous occasions in education and business. In most of the business and economics colleagues, presentation skills are taught as part of the curriculum, of at least several courses. Therefore, it could be expected that presentation skills would be highly developed among business and economics students. However, in practice, people develop numerous fears and barriers to the presentation in public. On the other hand, students do not behave in the same manner taking into account their fear towards the presentation in public. The goal of the paper is to investigate if there are homogenous groups of students according to their attitude towards the presentation, both as sources of success and as a source of fear. Cluster analysis has been employed to fulfil the paper goal. Non-hierarchical k-means analysis has been conducted on data collected by the research instrument about the benefits and fears from the presentations on the sample of students enrolled in business and economics colleagues. Results indicate that there are homogenous groups of students according to presentation perceived benefits and fears, but the composition of these groups indicates that perceived benefits and fears of presentations are not always related in the same direction.

This chapter compares two national crowdfunding markets based on their platforms and regulatory legislation on crowdfunding. Spain and France were selected though a cluster analysis since both differ on those characteristics. Mean comparison tests were carried out to estimate differences. Data were based on a survey specifically designed and conducted for this research. While crowdfunding is an internet-powered activity with global accessibility, national boundaries and geographic proximity play a significant role in shaping the performance of crowdfunding platforms. Regarding practical implications, as each country developed its specific legislation, it is concluded that this legislation may boost or hinder the growth of crowdfunding. On the other hand, the different way platforms managed their business does not affect their outcomes in terms of number of projects and funds raised. As a result, although platforms are indispensable as an intermediate agent between funders and investors, they determine neither the number of projects hosted nor the funds raised.

The aim of this article is to investigate the mutual fund market in India and verify whether or not the fund classification obtained from the name given to identify them corresponds to that which would be obtained were prior management to be taken into account. This industry has undergone spectacular growth in recent years, making this study extremely interesting, not least because institutional control could be less in times of expansion. The methodologies employed in the study are factor analysis and cluster analysis. The former determines that risk would clearly identify two groups of funds in the same manner as public classification of the funds. Cluster analysis, on the other hand, identifies funds that are, in fact, very close to one another, when for the bulk of investors they are not.

In recent years many important changes have taken place in Polish agriculture. The aim of the paper was to determine the diversity of the structure of sown area in the voivodships and its potential impact on the natural environment. Crop diversity was assessed by using the Shannon-Wiener (H) index. With the Pielou (J) index was also analyzed crop uniformity of the area under each species in sown area. The analysis shows that the least varied sowing area structure is characterized by Opolskie, Dolnośląskie and Podlaskie voivodships. On the other hand, the highest values of the assessed indicators were noted in the Świętokrzyskie, Lubuskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Lubelskie voivodships. The cluster analysis allowed for the separation of three homogenous groups of voivodships. In the cluster I was the Opolskie, Dolnośląskie and Opolskie voivodships, which are characterized by the least environmentally-friendly structure of sown area. In cluster II was the largest number of voivodships characterized by indirect values of the assessed indicators. Some evidences have emerged indicating that there are regional disparities in East Java Province and industrialization seems to give its contribution in creating regional disparities. In 2014, Manufacturing industry dominated the contribution to the GDP which was 29%, on the other hand mostly the people who worked in the agricultural sector, and so the land which mostly agricultural. This study aims to identify factors influencing the disparities in East Java Province. This statement is also strengthened by the Williamson index which showed that the regional disparities were quite high, with two districts indicated to contributing the most, Kediri and Surabaya City. By using factor analysis, this research will try to answer what factors influencing the disparities statistically, and cluster analysis is trying to figure out the disparities spatially. Then it is going to be proven that some districts agglomerated in a certain area and can implicate the disparities in East Java.

Abstract The paper analyses technical equipment of the selected dairy farms. Data from questionnaires carried out in 96 farms in 2015 constituted a research material. Municipalities Lszewo-Borki in Mazowieckie Voivodeship were covered by the survey. A survey questionnaire, which consisted of two parts, was a research instrument. The first concerned general information on a farm and its owner, and the other consisted of eight questions on technical equipment used for breeding dairy cows. The research allowed to determine that farmers assessed the condition of their machinery park as average (50%) or good (40%). One out of ten farmers claimed that the used machinery park in a farm is in a bad condition. Majority of respondents have allotted from PLN 20 to 50 thousand for investments related to enhancement of a machinery park within the last 5 years.
