A neolithic occupation in Kalimantan is marked by an open space near the water source and biodiversity which are potential for cultivation. Other characteristics of a neolithic occupation are the presence of archaeological items that suggest a sedentary lifestyle such as pottery, stone adzes, bark-cloth-beaters, and an indication of the arrival of the Austronesia-language-speaking people. Of the sites examined so far, there are two sites indicating open occupations in the southern slope of the Müller Mountains from around 3000-2000 years ago, the Nanga Balang and Muolo Joloi. Both sites are practically located in the heart of Kalimantan in the dense interior of the tropical rainforest. This research discusses the characteristic of Neolithic culture in Nanga Balang and MuaraJoloi to understand their variabilities. The research method used here is descriptive-comparative approach. The result of this research provides information on human strategies in interacting with the natural environment of the tropical rainforest. Keywords: Kalimantan, tropical rainforests, Neolithic occupation, radiocarbon dating, occupation characteristic, human survival.

The purpose of this research is to determine the constitutional complaint mechanism based on comparisons in other countries, practices, and adaptation of constitutional complaints under the authority of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. Many cases with constitutional complaint substance have been submitted to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia even though they don’t have this authority. This research uses a normative legal research method using a statutory approach, a conceptual approach, a comparative approach, and a case approach. This research indicates that the constitutional complaint mechanism in Germany, South Korea, and South Africa has been well implemented. In practice, cases with constitutional complaint substance are filed to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia by changing the form by using the legal means of a judicial review, such as case number 16/PUU-VI/ 2008, case number 140/PUU-XIII/2015 and case number 102/PUU-VII/2009. Due to the consideration of the structure, substance, and culture of law, adaptation of constitutional complaint within the authority of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia needs to be carried out by amending Law Number 24 of 2003 jo. Law Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Constitutional Court.

Abstract. Biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) emitted from tropical rainforests comprise a substantial fraction of global atmospheric VOC emissions, however there are only relatively limited measurements of these species in tropical rainforest regions. We present observations of isoprene, α-pinene, camphene, Δ-3-carene, γ-terpinene and limonene, as well as oxygenated VOCs (OVOCs) of biogenic origin such as methacrolein, in ambient air above a tropical rainforest in Malaysian Borneo during the Oxidant and Particle Photochemical Processes above a south-east Asian tropical rainforest (OP3) project in 2008. Daytime composition was dominated by isoprene, with an average mixing ratio of the order of ~1 ppb. γ-terpinene, limonene and camphene were the most abundant monoterpenes, with average daytime mixing ratios of 102, 71 and 66 ppt respectively, and with an average monoterpene toisoprene ratio of 0.3 during sunlit hours, compared to 2.0 at night. Limonene and camphene abundances were seen to be related to both temperature and light conditions. In contrast, γ-terpinene emission continued into the late afternoon/evening, under relatively low temperature and light conditions. The contributions of isoprene, monoterpenes and other classes of VOC to the volatile carbon budget and OH reactivity have been summarised for this rainforest location. We observe good agreement between surface and aircraft measurements of boundary layer isoprene and methacrolein above the natural rainforest, suggesting that the ground-level observations are broadly representative of isoprene emissions from this region.

Muhammad Amrullah Drs Nasrul, Wan Noraini Mohd Salim , Muhamad Helmi Md Said , Siti Nuramani Abdul Manap Abstract: The administration of estate formally commences upon the application by the beneficiaries to the related administrative bodies. The application marks the beginning step in the administration of estate since the application is an essential process in obtaining the letters of representation. With the existence of multiple administrative bodies in Malaysia, one needs to ensure that the application is made to the right administrative body. Furthermore, the administration of estate needs to be promptly settled to avoid any unwanted consequences, hence justifying the need for the early application  by the beneficiaries. However, some beneficiaries deliberately stall the application, which is detrimental to the administration of estate. Confusion in identifying the right administrative body as well as the wrong perception of the beneficiaries of the administrative bodies have been identified as the causes behind the  late  application. This paper addressed the jurisdiction of the administrative bodies in the administration of the deceased’s estate in Malaysia through the comparative approach in classifying the different roles and authorities of each administrative body. The writing involved the research method by way of a library-based  study  whereby  the data were collected from multiple sources including conference papers, textbooks, statutes, case laws, journals and other materials. The finding points out several suggestions including the need for collaboration between the society and the government in relaying the information regarding the actual impression of the administrative bodies in the administration of estate.   Keywords: Administration of estate, Administrative bodies, Letters of representation, Beneficiaries.
