Abstract. The scientific article is devoted to the development of a methodology for assessing the financial stability of financial corporations using the technology of cascading approach to identify weak areas in their activities and prevent the development of threats to their stable operation. The root causes of their financial instability are selected as the object of financial corporations’ financial stability assessment, and a chain of causal relationships is considered that turn the preconditions into real threats to financial stability or even signs of the corporation’s financial fragility. At the same time, the source of prerequisites for the financial stability of financial corporations in the state and depth of imbalances, which are formed both in the internal and external environment of their operation. It is proved that the tools for assessing internal imbalances in the activities of financial corporations should not be limited to financial imbalances, as their root causes can be concentrated in the organizational, managerial, institutional, conceptual component, in the field of personnel, information, technical support. Therefore, the structuring of imbalances in the activities of financial corporations is proposed to be carried out according to the theory of economic potentials and to identify the following content areas: opportunities, resources, tools, and abilities, the interaction of which forms the potential of financial corporations to operate. A three-stage method for assessing the financial stability of financial corporations has been developed, using a cascading approach, which involves the consistent diagnosis of internal imbalances in the activities of financial corporations: 1) those that arise within each component (resources, means, and capabilities) and are the area of origin of internal threats to their financial stability; 2) imbalances that arise through inter-component interaction (resources-means; abilities-means; resources-abilities) and are the sphere of manifestations of imbalances; 3) those that arise through interaction with the external environment and maximally show the impact of their condition and depth on the level of financial stability. For each of these areas, a set of indicators has been developed and an algorithm for calculating the integrated index of financial stability of a financial corporation has been constructed. The scientific and methodological approach was tested on the example of systemically important banks of Ukraine during 2017—2020, each of which is currently in a continuum of financial stability, and for most banks, there is a growing trend of quantitative measurement of its level. In general, the paper reveals a comprehensive approach to assessing the financial stability of financial corporations, which allows you to systematize those key positions in which the imbalance increases the likelihood of their financial fragility and financial instability. Keywords: financial corporations, financial stability, internal imbalances, economic potential, valuation, indicators, nonlinear rationing. The development of the economic situation in Russia in recent years is characterized by the achievement of stabilization at the macro level, the strengthening of investment activity, the expansion of the scope of activities of the processing industry, the strengthening of public confidence in domestic goods and finished products. The research urgency is caused by the fact that in Russia economic competition becomes more acute in oil and fat processing sector, also has a problem of lack of training organizations to consider the impact of external factors and competitive advantages of the industry to ensure financial stability. The purpose of the study is to study the features of factors affecting the competitiveness of the oil processing complex. On the basis of sources of economic literature, the authors studied the competitiveness of vegetable oil production by comparison and identified the problems of insufficient methodological support for studying the impact of factors that determine the current state of the vegetable oil market, methods and approaches for assessing the competitiveness of organizations. The leading direction is a comprehensive approach presented by the authors in the article, including the study of domestic and international experience in determining the factors of internal and external environment that affect the development of the industry. The study of the traditional system of assessing the competitiveness of vegetable oils is given, proposed by Russian and foreign scientists. As a result of the conducted research it is established that modern domestic and foreign methods of the analysis of the competitiveness of vegetable oils do not differ in high quality and have shortcomings. The authors noted that the analysis of the concept of competitiveness of vegetable oils does not take into account the quality indicators are not always fully represented the composition and structure of the concept, not justified organizational and methodological approaches to the analysis of the concept of competitiveness applicable to vegetable oils. The researchers note the need for an objective assessment of the analysis of the concept of competitiveness of vegetable oils to supplement it with a more detailed study of improving the level of competitiveness. In their opinion, the lack of a single definition of the term "competitiveness of products" is one of the most difficult in the formation of an adequate approach to the assessment of the phenomenon. This leads to the fact that the most common assessment is a comparative assessment of similar vegetable oils with ethanol. The study conducted by the authors has scientific and practical significance and will allow to develop a methodological apparatus (parameters and criteria for assessing the level of competitiveness of vegetable oils) in accordance with the requirements of the industry in the world economy, as well as to form a set of strategic and tactical management decisions to improve the competitiveness of vegetable oils and mechanisms of interaction in creating competitive advantages and strengthening the market position of vegetable oils.

Relevance of research. The actualization of the assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy is indisputable, taking into account the impact of both external and internal factors on the work of the enterprise. The purpose of the study: to develop a methodological approach to preventive assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise, taking into account internal and external factors influencing its economic activity from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy. Methodology and scientific methods: methods of comparative analysis, economic-mathematical modeling, system approach are used. Research results: the article considers scientific trends and problems of assessing the financial condition of enterprises using different methodological approaches. The most well-known formed discriminant models of foreign and domestic scientists are characterized, taking into account their advantages and disadvantages in conducting economic assessment of the financial condition of enterprises. Features and possibilities of application of these models at the domestic enterprises of a machine-building complex are stated. The necessity to develop a dynamic operational model of preventive management is substantiated, which makes it possible to take into account both internal and external national factors and foreign indicators. Unlike the existing ones, this model considers not only financial indicators (profitability ratio, current liquidity ratio, asset turnover, autonomy ratio), but also their importance in the dynamics, as well as taking into account external factors of the country in which the company operates. A new methodological approach for assessing the financial condition of the enterprise with the inclusion of national factors of enterprises and performance indicators of foreign economic entities is proposed. The proposed method of assessing the company in the dynamics in relation to each time to the previous year in terms of bankruptcy characterizes the effectiveness of management and is a signal to take precautions regardless of the stage of the life cycle of the enterprise or its products. The information support of this model serves as a basis for the formation of the company's self-management system. Research framework / possibility of using the results: the proposed methodological approach has an international character and can be used by single-industry enterprises of different countries to assess their financial and economic, marketing, organizational, production, logistics activities, especially when looking for business partners. Practical significance: assessment of the bankruptcy probability index at 12 machine-building enterprises of Ukraine was carried out, conclusions were made on the location of enterprises in the bankruptcy zone. Social consequences: the results of this assessment lead to management decisions by the management of machine-building enterprises on the optimization of jobs, labor movement, internal and external staff rotation.

The article deals with the forming of indicators characterizing the process of shadowing the economy and its impact on the potential of the sustainable development of the territory, taking into account the financial and economic component. It was determined that the shadowization of the economy directly affects the system of the national economy. The expediency of studying shadow economy as separate indicators in the general dynamics of macroeconomic development, but as integral components of the potential for sustainable development of the territory was justified. The creation of new programs and plans designed to bring the regions to a new level of quality in the development of territories depends on the level of influence of indicators of the shadow economy. The main criteria for assessing the impact of the shadow economy, the potential for sustainable development of the territory in the context of the integration of Ukraine into the European Union and the reform of local government were established. It was determined that efficient realization of the potential for the sustainable development of a territory largely depends on the creation of a system for monitoring the processes of shadow economy. The ways of using the system of indicators and the directions of building a system of indicators for assessing the impact of the economy’s shadowization on the development of the potential for sustainable development of the territory, including financial were identified. One of the problems of using indicators of the economy’s shadowization in managing the potential for the development of territories proved to be its information support, namely, the assessment of the actual state of indicators of shadowization. A scientific and methodological approach to building and assessing the indicators of the formation of components of an indicator of sustainable development of the territory, taking into account the mutual influence of the factors of the economy’s shadowization on the basis of economic and mathematical analysis, which includes six stages with the interpretation of the results, was proposed. The composition of the indicators of the formation of an indicator of sustainable development was suggested to consider taking into account the financial and economic factors of sustainable development of the territory.

In this study, I have collected and summarized the functional aspects of a literary prize, contest, and rating, which indicate their affiliation with the marketing complex of the publishing house for the first time. For this purpose, I have analyzed and summarized the common concepts of the functioning of literary prizes and contests as advertising tools for publishing activity. Because the previous studies are only focused on the fact of the impact of the prize on the promotion of editions but do not explain it, these aspects have been considered and introduced by me from the book production’s point of view. I investigated that the prizes and the contests in the literary field are effective marketing tools, which meet many publisher’s needs at the same time and can be considered a non-profit form of capital. I have reviewed the works of other authors, who accept that the economic success of the book is rising if the author is a winner of the literary prize or contest. I have found out that the book prize activates the demand for the book, and the literary contest is a tool to track the reader’s reaction to a future publication. In this way, literary prizes and contests can be considered as a way of conducting a marketing dialogue with the target audience. I have focused on the information support of literary national and international prizes and contests by the media, which attracts attention to the book and forms the reader’s interest. The literary prizes and contests are also considered as a way of exploring trends and their changes, familiarization the popular genres among the target audience and fixation the current choice of modern readers. Literary prizes and contests motivate the authors to improve their literary excellence, are the source of new authors and works, and assist in increasing sales of books. However, further research is recommended.
Key words: book prize, book rating, literary contest, literary prize, functions of the literary prizes.

Obtaining dietetic licensure in Ontario requires completion of a Dietitians of Canada (DC) accredited four-year undergraduate degree in nutrition and an accredited post-graduate internship or combined Master’s degree program. Given the scarcity of internship positions in Ontario, each year approximately two-thirds of the eligible applicants who apply do not receive a position XX, XX, XX, XX, XX, XX, in press). Anecdotally, not securing an internship position is known to be a particularly disconcerting experience that has significant consequences for individuals’ personal, financial, and professional well-being. However, no known empirical research has yet explored students’ experiences of being unsuccessful in applying for internship positions. Fifteen individuals who applied between 2005 and 2009 to an Ontario-based dietetic internship program, but were unsuccessful at least once, participated in a one-on-one semi-structured interview. Findings reveal that participants’ experiences unfold successively in four phases that are characterized by increasingly heightened emotional peril: naïveté, competition, devastation, and frustration. The authors conclude that the current model of dietetic education and training in Ontario causes lasting distress to students and hinders the future growth and vitality of the dietetic profession. Further research is required to understand the impact of the current model on dietetic educators, internship coordinators, and preceptors as coincident participants in the internship application process.

To the article the results of the theoretical and experimental researches are given on questions of estimates of the dynamic rate effect of raindrop impact on soil. The aim of this work was to analyze the current methods to determine the rate of artificial rain pressure on the soil for the assessment of splash erosion. There are the developed author’s method for calculation the pressure of artificial rain on the soil and the assessment of splash erosion. The study aims to the justification of evaluation methods and the obtaining of quantitative characteristics, prevention and elimination of accelerated (anthropogenic) erosion, the creation and the realization of the required erosion control measures. The paper considers the question of determining the pressure of artificial rain on the soil. At the moment of raindrops impact, there is the tension in the soil, which is called vertical effective pressure. It is noted that the impact of rain drops in the soil there are stresses called vertical effective pressure. The equation for calculation of vertical effective pressure is proposed in this study using the known spectrum of raindrops. Effective pressure was 1.4 Pa for the artificial rain by sprinkler machine «Fregat» and 5.9 Pa for long distance sprinkler DD-30. The article deals with a block diagram of the sequence for determining the effective pressure of rain drops on the soil. This diagram was created by the author’s method of calculation of the effective pressure of rain drops on the soil. The need for an integrated approach to the description of the artificial rain impact on the soil is noted. Various parameters characterizing drop erosion are considered. There are data about the mass of splashed soil in the irrigation of various irrigation machinery and installations. For example, the rate (mass) of splashed soil was 0.28…0.78 t/ha under irrigation sprinkler apparatus RACO 4260–55/701C in the conditions of the Ryazan region. The method allows examining the environmental impact of sprinkler techniques for analyzes of the pressure, caused by raindrops, on the soil. It can also be useful in determining the irrigation rate before the runoff for different types of sprinkler equipment and soil conditions.
