Roleplayer is a game that played by acting as a certain character. Also in roleplaying there is a use of language, symbols and words to interact with each other and human dependence on the use of media when playing is one of the interests for researchers. This study aims to determine the role of symbolic interaction and media ecology in roleplaying games by focusing on out of character on twitter, the theory used in this study is symbolic interaction theory, media ecology theory. The research approach used is qualitative description with ethnographic methods. Researchers collected data by conducting participant observation, in-depth interviews with several roleplayer players out of character and library studies. The conclusion of this study is that individuals are involved in several stages in the process of involvement of someone roleplayer, namely: introduction, finding information, determining character, and starting to play. In roleplayer there is the use of language, certain words and symbols, expectations (Pygmalion effect), and rules in play. Roleplayer adalah permainan yang dimainkan dengan berperan sebagai karakter tertentu. Permainan roleplayer menggunakan bahasa, simbol serta kata-kata untuk saling berinteraksi serta ketergantungan manusia dalam penggunaan media ketika bermain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran interaksi simbolik dan ekologi media dalam permainan roleplayer dengan berfokus pada out of character di media sosial Twitter. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik dan ekologi media. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskripsi dengan metode etnografi. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan melakukan observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dengan beberapa pemain roleplayer out of character dan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah individu terlibat dalam beberapa tahapan dalam proses keterlibatan seseorang permainan roleplayer yaitu: perkenalan, mencari informasi, menentukan karakter, dan mulai bermain. Di dalam roleplayer terdapat penggunaan bahasa, kata-kata serta simbol-simbol tertentu, harapan-harapan (pygmalion effect), dan peraturan-peraturan dalam bermain.

Marketing communication planning is carried out in order to increase sales and introduce the brand of a product to the audience by conveying effective messages and in accordance with the target audience. PT. Wow Komunindo is one of the advertising companies in Indonesia that carries out marketing communications to meet the wishes of its clients. PT. Wow Komunindo has its own way of planning marketing communications. The role of symbolic interaction and organizational culture is very important in the planning of PT marketing communications. Wow Komunindo. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. Data collection applied was by participant observation, in-depth interviews with employees of PT. Wow Komunindo, as well as document analysis. The conclusion of this study is that there are 6 stages of marketing communication planning which consists of Briefing, Brainstorming, Pre-Production Meeting, Production, Post Production Meeting, and Media Placement. From these stages, interactions occur that contain symbols such as rules, expectations, and organizational culture such as duty rituals and social rituals are created.Perencanaan komunikasi pemasaran dilaksanakan agar meningkatkan penjualan serta memperkenalkan merek sebuah produk kepada khalayak dengan cara menyampaikan pesan yang efektif dan sesuai dengan target audience. PT. Wow Komunindo adalah salah satu perusahaan periklanan di Indonesia yang melakukan komunikasi pemasaran untuk memenuhi keinginan klien. PT. Wow Komunindo mempunyai caranya sendiri dalam merencanakan komunikasi pemasaran. Peran interaksi simbolik serta budaya organisasi sangat lah penting dalam perencanaan komunikasi pemasaran PT. Wow Komunindo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah dengan observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dengan karyawan PT. Wow Komunindo, serta analisis dokumen. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 6 tahapan perencanaan komunikasi pemasaran yang terdiri dari Briefing, Brainstorming, Pre-Production Meeting, Production, Post Production Meeting, dan Media Placement. Dari tahapan-tahapan tersebut terjadi interaksi yang mengandung simbol-simbol seperti peraturan, harapan, dan juga tercipta budaya organisasi seperti ritual tugas maupun ritual sosial.

Marketing communication of a product is done to improve product quality and introduce products to consumers. Starbucks is a famous coffee shop in Indonesia. This research aims to determine the process of symbolic interaction in the formation of brand loyalty among Starbucks card users. This research uses symbolic interaction theory, brand loyalty and sales promotion. Symbolic interactions play a very important role in increasing consumer brand loyalty. This research uses a qualitative methodology. Data collection in this research was conducted by in-depth interviews and participant observation. The analytical method used in this research is a case study. The results showed that consumer loyalty to Starbucks, so they want to use Starbucks cards occurs because of the quality and promotion of Starbucks. And symbolic interaction is very influential in the process of brand loyalty formation such as promotions, rules and language used. Komunikasi Pemasaran terhadap sebuah produk dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memperkenalkan produk kepada konsumen. Starbucks adalah sebuah kedai kopi ternama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses interaksi simbolik dalam pembentukkan brand loyalty diantara para pengguna kartu Starbucks. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik, brand loyalty dan sales promotion. Interaksi simbolik berperan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan brand loyalty konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipan. Metode analisis yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keloyalitasan konsumen terhadap Starbucks, sehingga mereka mau menggunakan Starbucks card terjadi karena kualitas dan promosi di Starbucks. Dan interaksi simbolik sangat berpengaruh pada proses pembentukkan brand loyalty itu sendiri seperti promosi, peraturan dan bahasa yang digunakan.

Re-thinking dominant epistemological assumptions of the urban in the global South implies recognising the role of grassroots networks in challenging epistemic injustices through the co-production of multiple saberes and haceres for more just and inclusive cities. This paper examines the pedagogies of such networks by focusing on the experiences nurtured within Habitat International Coalition in Latin America (HIC-AL), identified as a ‘School of Grassroots Urbanism’ (Escuela de Urbanismo Popular). Although HIC-AL follows foremost activist rather than educational objectives, members of HIC-AL identify and value their practices as a ‘School’, whose diverse pedagogic logics and epistemological arguments are examined in this paper. The analysis builds upon a series of in-depth interviews, document reviews and participant observation with HIC-AL member organisations and allied grassroots networks. The discussion explores how the values and principles emanating from a long history of popular education and popular urbanism in the region are articulated through situated pedagogies of resistance and transformation, which in turn enable generative learning from and for the social production of habitat.

Abstraksi Nahdlatul Wathan merupakan suatu kelompok kepentingan yang melakukan mobilisasi politik terhadap masyarakat desa Dasan Borok pada saat Pemilu PILPRES RI 2014. Mobilisasi politik ini dilakukan karena Nahdlatul Wathan adalah salah satu pengusung pasangan kandidat calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden RI 2014. Terpecahnya Nahdlatul Wathan menjadi dua Pengurusan Besar berdampak pada perbedaan dukungan terhadap pasangan kandidat calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden RI 2014 seperti Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor mengusung pasangan Prabowo-Hatta dan Nahdlatul Wathan Anjani mengusung Pasangan Jokowi-JK dan masing-masing kubu memiliki massa yang besar di desa Dasan Borok. Adapun tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui “Peran Kelompok Kepentingan Dalam Memobilisasi Politik Masyarakat Desa Dasan Borok Pada PILPRES 2014”. Dalam memetakan masalah dari penelitian yang bersetting di desa Dasan Borok, Kec. Suralaga ini, maka peneliti menggunakan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan tujuan agar data yang disajikan relevan dengan pendekatan yang dipakai. Adapun tekhnik yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tekhnik purposive sampeling. Di samping itu untuk meningkatkan kevalidan data yang diperoleh, maka penelitian ini menggunakan tekhnik pengumpulan data observasi berbentuk participant observation dan wawancara tidak terstruktur serta dokumentasi dengan teknik analisis domain (domain analysis). Dari hasil temuan di lapangan dapat dideskripsikan bahwa PILPRES RI 2014 dipandang sebagai arena pertarungan oleh dua kubu Nahdlatul Wathan selaku kelompok kepentingan karena perbedaan usungan kandidat pasangan calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden. Sebagai Kelompok Kepentingan, Nahdlatul Wathan berperan sebagai tim sukses dengan menggunakan peran dakwah sebagai media untuk melakukan mobilisasi politiknya terhadap masyarakat desa Dasan Borok pada PILPRES 2014. Hal ini terlihat ketika Nahdlatul Wathan mengadakan pengajian akbar maupun lawatan-lawatan agama dengan menghadirkan pasangan calon presiden yang diusungnya dengan dihadiri oleh ribuan jamaah NW maupun sosialisasi pasangan kandidat ketengah masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh pengurus NW ditingkat cabang dan ranting yang ada di desa Dasan Borok. Kata Kunci: Kelompok Kepentingan, Pilpres, dan Nahdlatul Wathan  Abstract Nahdlatul Wathan is a group interest conducting political mobilization on the society in Dasan Borok in president election in 2014. It is done because Nahdlatul Wathan is a group that brings the candidate of president and vice president of RI in 2014. Nahdlatul Wathan becomes two managing committee which affects the support of the president and the vice candidate of RI in 2014. Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor carried Prabowo-Hatta and Nahdlatul Wathan Anjani carried Jokowi-JK, and each group has a great amount of mass in Dasan Borok. This research purposed at knowing “the role of political mobilizationof group interest in the president election in 2014 in Dasan Borok”. This research is a qualitative research approach utilizing descriptive in order the data is relevant. The technique used is purposive sampling.  The data collection used is observation in from of participant observation, unstructured interview as well as documentation using domain analysis technique. Based on the found data, it can be described that the president’s election of RI 2014 seemed to be a strange struggling arena done by two sides group of Nahdlatul Wathan as the group interest. As the group interest, Nahdlatul Wathan personated as the success team, it was done through religious endeavor or dakwah in the society in Dasan Borok in president’s election of RI 2014. It can be seen when Nahdlatul Wathan held a great meeting (great religious endeavor) as well as a visit of the candidate of the        presidents. This study aims to determine the social interaction of Lazis Darul Hikam and the community through Instagram social media and to find out the role of social media Instagram in building awareness of donation in Lazis Darul Hikam. The research uses symbolic interaction theory to photograph how people interact using social media, define the meaning of the symbols conveyed and ultimately lead to actions in this case giving donations. The method used is a qualitative method, the donor Lazis Darul Hikam, an active user of Instagram, is an informant in this study. The results showed that social media has the following roles: (1) Instagram is a medium for inter-institutional interaction with the community to introduce programs and reporting media, (2) Instagram social media is also able to build awareness of donations by collecting funds obtained through social media.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi sosial Lazis Darul Hikam dan masyarakat melalui media sosial Instagram serta untuk mengetahui peran media sosial Instagram membangun kesadaran berdonasi di Lazis Darul Hikam.  Penelitian menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik untuk memotret bagaimana masyarakat berinteraksi menggunakan media sosial, mendefinisikan makna dari simbol-simbol yang disampaikan dan akhirnya bermuara pada perbuatan dalam hal ini memberikan donasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, donatur Lazis Darul Hikam pengguna aktif Instagram menjadi informan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa media sosial memiliki peran sebagai berikut: (1) Instagram menjadi media untuk berinteraksi antar lembaga dengan masyarakat untuk memperkenalkan program dan media pelaporan, (2) Media sosial Instagram juga mampu membangun kesadaran berdonasi dengan terkumpulnya dana yang didapatkan melalui media sosial

  El objetivo de este artículo es analizar en qué consiste el rol del dirigente de la Corriente Campesina Nacional (COCAN) como mediador de las estructuras de poder del Estado y los criollos del Impenetrable (una región localizada en la provincia del Chaco, noreste de Argentina) durante el periodo 2012-2015. Se aplica una metodología cualitativa, que consistió en observación participante y entrevistas en profundidad. Se concluye que la COCAN lleva a cabo múltiples prácticas organizativas para resolver las problemáticas de las poblaciones rurales: implementación y gestión de proyectos estatales, negociaciones con autoridades políticas y promoción de actividades culturales y productivas.  Abstract The aim of this article is to analyze the role of the leader of the “Corriente Campesina Nacional” (COCAN) as a mediator between state agents and the “criollo” population in the “Impenetrable” (a region located in Chaco, north east of Argentina) during the period 2012-2015. A qualitative methodology is applied, using participant observation and in-depth interviews. The article concludes that the COCAN uses diverse organizational practices to solve rural community problems: implementation and management of state projects, negotiations with political authorities and promotion of cultural and productive activities.

The adaptation of non-Sundanese reporters is the object of this study; the aim is to find out the views of non-Sundanese journalists on Sundanese society in the city of Bandung, the self-concept owned by non-Sundanese journalists and how the adaptation of non-Sundanese journalists in gathering news. The methodology used is phenomenology with symbolic interaction theory. This study uses a qualitative approach: observation techniques, in-depth interviews do the process of data collection. The results showed that Non-Sundanese Journalists in Bandung City, most of the opinion. Sundanese people have a positive nature and easy to accept other people from outside the region who have cultural differences. For non-Sundanese journalists, when carrying out their profession as a journalist, they should have advantages compared to indigenous journalists so that they can survive in carrying out their duties in gathering news. Having education that is directed and professional in their fields, is capital in carrying out their profession so that they will become journalists who are expected and needed by others, wherever they are. Non-Sundanese journalists are expected to be able to adapt or adjust to the perceived differences in gathering news, especially from cultural and linguistic differences, so that enormous courage and patience are needed.

<em>This study aims to determine the role of social learning models in improving the competency of salt farmers in Pamekasan Regency. The research approach used is qualitative research with grounded theory. Data collection techniques using depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The results of the study showed that increasing the competency of salt farmers through social learning models was carried out by presenting examples of behavior from aspects: 1) knowledge (knowledge); 2) skills (skills); 3) self concept; 4) personal characteristics (traits); and 5) motives (motives). The role of the social learning model for increasing salt farmers in Pamekasan Regency is: 1) to increase knowledge so that farmers have several alternative ways to make salt to produce quality; 2) developing the competency of salt farmers through the delivery of information; 3) foster an attitude of helping others; and 4) fostering a cooperative attitude towards outside parties who wish to establish cooperation.</em>

<em>The phenomenon of the spread of religious-based elementary schools in the community will certainly have an impact on the development of the Indonesian Human Resources Development Index. This includes efforts to strengthen the National Character. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of teachers in religion-based elementary schools in strengthening the national character of students. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 37 students and teachers. Data collection techniques used in this study were participant observation, in-depth interviews, literacy studies, and questionnaires. Analysis of the data used is Miles and Huberman Interactive Analysis. The results showed that teachers have an important role in strengthening the Nationality Character in Religion-Based Primary Schools, namely (1) Teachers not only teach about concepts but also emulate them, (2) Provide effective communication media between students and parents, (3) and supervise every student's behavior</em>

This writing discusses the effectiveness of the Pre-Work program in building human resources and the role of the Pre-employment program in building the quality of human resources. The objectives of this study were to: (1). Determine the effectiveness of the Pre-employment program in building resources amid the human pandemic. (2). Determine the role of the Pre-employment program in building the quality of human resources in the midst of a pandemic. By using a descriptive qualitative research approach, the type of data used in this study is primary data obtained from in-depth interviews with community recipients of the pre-work card program assistance. The research results obtained are: (1). Pre-employment programs are less effective in building human resources. (2). The Pre-employment Program plays a very important role in building the quality of human resources.
