Daily activities of the community are only carried out between home with college or school and workplace. This can trigger fatigue because burdens of thought and workload, and there is no activities separated from their daily lives and elimintas the social sence between the communities because they’re busy with their activities.  Third place is a neutral public space to accommodate the need for release work or school burdens and to socialize, interacting, and to share their views among community without looking at the difference in background. BSD creative learning space is a third place with an educational recreation forum and can be the answer to these problems. Equipped with play, study, gathering, and leisure who still related to main program being intended for the community around of all without age restrictions. This project has theme of art creativity as a result of answering the problems in BSD, South Tangerang and those are close to third place. The method that used in designing third place is spatial archetype grid has the same characteristics as third place such as openness, not bound, and neutral. This method is a part of the concept of design in creating third place by taking into account the relationship between space and programs are intertwined with each other.

The small-world model provides a useful perspective and method to study the topological structure and intrinsic characteristics of high-speed rail networks (HRNs). In this paper, the P-space method is used to examine global and local HRNs in China, meanwhile the adjacency matrix is developed, then the social network analysis and visualization tool UCINET is used to calculate the spatial and attribute data of HRNs at national and local levels in China. The small-world characteristics of whole HRNs are discussed, three networks which have different properties are determined, and a comparative analysis of the small-world effect is detected. Then, the relationship between the construction of high-speed rail and regional development of China is analysed. The results show that: 1) China's HRNs have small average path length ( L ) and large clustering coefficient (C ), representing a typical small-world network; 2) Local HRNs have a certain correlation with economic development. The reasons for the difference of HRNs with respect to characteristics among regions are eventually discussed.

Social media platforms have become an inevitable part of our daily lives. Companies that noticed the intense use of social media platforms started to use them as a marketing tool. Even ordinary people have become famous by social media and companies have been sending their products to them to try and advertise. Many people have gained a considerable amount of money in this way and today new jobs are emerged like "Youtuber" and "Instagram Influencer". Therefore, ordinary people realized the power of social media and many people started to strength their digital identity over social media. The question raising in people’s mind is that “What is the difference between the influencers and the ordinary people who have also digital identity over social media?”. This study examined Instagram influencers for five categories namely fashion, makeup, photography, travel, and fitness in Turkey. As an exploratory study, the relationship between the influencers’ average number of posts, the number of likes, the number of views, the number of comments, number of followers, and the number of following were examined. As well as the engagement rates of the followers to the influencers were calculated. In addition, the words they mostly used in the captions of the posts were examined.

The study which is descriptive qualitative in nature, aims to investigate preference of politeness strategies by Balinese Hindu-community in traditional marriage ritual. Data was collected using interview and observation methods. Based on the results of data analysis, this research shows that the form of politeness that arises can be seen in terms of place, time, to the leaders of the people, during preparation, implementation, disclosure of the relationship with the Almighty, and after the completion of the ritual. The different forms of politeness that emerge can be seen from the use of Balinese in various levels which are adjusted to the social distance and speech situation. Besides being seen from the use of language, linguistic politeness is also evident from the attitude, intonation, and tone of the speaker. The difference in the form of politeness is intentionally raised to cause certain psychological impacts on the interlocutor.

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in Chinese; abstract in English only.In the dominant discourse of the "human–machine relationship," people and machines are the subjects, with a mutually shaping influence. However, this framework neglects the crux of the current critical analysis of AI. It reduces the problems with new technology to the relationship between people and machines, ignoring the re-shaping of the relationship between "people and people" in the era of new technology. This simplification may mislead policy and legal regulations for new technologies. Why would a robot killing cause more panic than a murder committed by a human? Why is a robot's misdiagnosis more troubling than a doctor's? Why do patients assume that machines make more accurate diagnoses than doctors? When a medical accident occurs, who is responsible for the mistakes of an intelligent medical system? In the framework of traditional professionalism, the relationship between doctors and patients, whether trusted or not, is based on the premise that doctors have specialized knowledge that patients do not possess. Therefore, the authority of a doctor is the authority of knowledge. In the age of intelligence, do machines provide information or knowledge? Can this strengthen or weaken the authority of doctors? It is likely that in the age of intelligence, the professionalism, authority and trustworthiness of doctors require a new knowledge base. Therefore, the de-skilling of doctors is not an issue of individual doctors, but demands an update of the knowledge of the entire industry. Recognizing this, policy makers must not focus solely on the use of machines, but take a wider perspective, considering how to promote the development of doctors and coordinate the relationship between doctors with different levels of knowledge development. We often ask, "In the era of intelligence, what defines a human?" This philosophical thinking should be directed toward not only the difference between machines and people as individuals, but also how the relationship between human beings, i.e., the social nature of humans, evolves in different technological environments. In short, this commentary stresses that a "good" machine or an "evil" machine—beyond the sci-fi romance of such discourse—reflects the evolution of the relationships between people. In today's smart age, the critical issue is not the relationship between people and machines. It is how people adjust their relationships with other people as machines become necessary tools in life. In the era of intelligence, therefore, our legislation, policy and ethical discussion should resume their focus on evolutionary relationships between people.DOWNLOAD HISTORY | This article has been downloaded 41 times in Digital Commons before migrating into this platform.

Darren O’Donnell (b. 1965) is a writer, director, actor, playwright, and designer, and the artistic director of the highly decorated Mammalian Diving Reflex. My study is focused on his work in social acupuncture, outlined in his Social Acupuncture: A guide to suicide, performance, and utopia (2006). Social acupuncture is a style of theatre/performance art that “blurs the line between art and life,”impelling people to come together in unusual ways and tap into the power of the social sphere. With social acupuncture, O’Donnell and Mammalian Diving Reflex are striving to create an aesthetic of civic engagement: an avenue through which social edifices like public space, schools, and the media can be used as the armature for the mounting of work that “takes modest glances at simple power dynamics and, for a moment, provides a glimpse of other possibilities.” Mammalian Diving Reflex began their exploration of the form in the summer of 2003 with The Talking Creature, and since then have devised and performed almost two‐ dozen similar “needles” worldwide.Social acupuncture warrants examination not only from a socio‐ political perspective, but through a theatrical lens, as well. It probes the relationship between audience and performer, raises questions about theatre’s ability to keep up with other media in the digital age, and offers tremendous insight into the potential for positive, fruitful intersections between art and civil society.  My project will include theoretical examination of O’Donnell’s work, as well as practical exploration of the form’s potential.

This exploratory text starts from a doctoral-unemployed experience and was triggered by the discussions within a collective of doctoral students on this particularly ambiguous status since it is situated between student, unemployed, worker, self-entrepreneur, citizen-subject of social rights or user-commuter in offices and forms. These discussions motivated the reading and commentary of a heterogeneous set of texts on unemployment, precariousness and the functioning of the institutions of the social state. This article thus focuses on the relationship between knowledge and unemployment, as embodied in the public space, in the relationship with Pôle Emploi, and in the academic literature. It articulates a threefold problematic : what is known and said publicly about unemployment? What can we learn from the very experience of the relationship with an institution like Pôle Emploi? How can these observations contribute to an understanding of social science inquiry and the political role of knowledge fromm precariousness?

Recent research in political behaviour suggests that poor health can be an impediment for individuals to vote. At the same time, researchers argue that health may both hinder and reinforce other forms of political participation. With respect to these ambiguous expectations, our study asks: does the relationship between health and political involvement depend on how we measure health? We answer this question for two of the most widely used health indicators, self-reported health and being hampered by illness in daily activities. We use the European Social Survey (ESS) (N = 35,000) covering 20 European countries and find that the measurement of health indeed matters: our results illustrate that bad self-reported health is an impediment to voting, but not to other forms of political activity. When it comes to our second indicator, being hampered in daily activities, we also find a negative relationship with voting. Yet, our results also indicate that most individuals, who are hampered by illness in their daily lives, have a tendency to participate more regularly in most other forms of political activity, including boycotting, contacting a politician, or signing a petition. Robustness checks including waves 1–6 of the ESS support these findings.

Previous attempts to explain the case of πορνεία in 1 Cor 5 have inadequately addressed the social and legal consequences of the relationship and the motivation of the individuals. When these are considered from the perspective of Roman law and customs it is more likely that the woman was theconcubinaof the man's father, not his stepmother. As such, the relationship was unusual but it was not considered illegal or immoral by the Corinthians. Paul, however, would not have understood the difference and thus saw it as.πορνεία

The phenomenon of the need to complement the daily activities of urban communities in an area need to be responded to in a design strategy that can resolve various kinds of conflicts. This is happening in Jakarta where there were still problems with the lack of public space facilities that not reach the residential area. The issue that the region has its characteristics that also raises a variety of activities in addition to daily routine activities in the form of a variety of entertainment activities, commerce, and even some activities accommodate various events. The purpose of this study is to raise public space as a unifying space or transition from routine home (first place) and work (second place). Cross, trans, and dis programming methods are used by not eliminating or changing things that are already characteristic of the region, by studying activities that might be reactivated and then simulated, hypothetically Pasar Baru can play a role in realizing physical identity as the old city to continue to live and be sustainable. The step used is to insert certain events in an empty slot in a year with the program insertion method. The findings are that program events can continue to be connected at all times through embedded programs. The results of this third place project show that architecture can contribute to the development of the program.

Marunda North Jakarta is known as a fisherman settlement area that has been aged for hundreds of years, besides that this area is also the location of low-income housing construction for Low-Income Community Groups (MBR) whose residents are residents who are relocated from various villages in Jakarta, so that the residents of the flat are very heterogeneous. The diverse backgrounds of the Marunda people cause differences in culture and daily habits that create the creation of social boundaries that result in a lack of harmony in the social sphere between residents of Rusunawa and Kampung Nelayan communities, in the process of relocating some residents to lose their jobs. Apart from that, the difference in the shape of the dwellings that were different from those previously densely landed and now are now vertical which causes the formation of spatial boundaries that did not exist before. There is a need that can support the community to create harmony in the diversity of the Marunda community in social, economic and cultural aspects. This study aims to develop a Marunda Activity Center design concept as a third place to accommodate the activities of Marunda residents using the Transprogramming method. The building is designed by combining programs that are spatially different, with the aim of producing programs that are fit to the community so that they can build social interaction and can support the economy to improve the quality of life which will have an impact on the welfare of the people of Marunda.
