The purpose of this study was to evaluate the environmental quality of polluted areas near the Baia Mare Mining and Smelting Complex for future improvements the quality of the environment in polluted areas, such as the city of Baia Mare and its surroundings. Samples of soil and organs of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) were collected from Baia Mare, Baia Sprie and surrounding areas (Simleul Silvaniei) and their content of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni, Co, As, Cr, Hg were analyzed. Most soil and plant samples showed higher metal concentrations in Baia Mare and Baia Sprie areas compared to Simleul Silvaniei, exceeding the normal values. The results obtained from the translocation factors, mobility ratio, as well as from Pearson correlation study confirmed that very useful information is recorded in plant organs: root, canes, leaves and fruit. Results also indicated that Vitis vinifera L. has some highly effective strategies to tolerate heavy metal-induced stress, may also be useful as a vegetation protection barrier from considerable atmospheric pollution. At the same time, berries are safe for consumption to a large degree, which is a great advantage of this species.

Heavy metal pollution is one of the problems that continue to occur in Indonesia which is very important because it is non-degradable, persistent, and can accumulate in the bodies of living things. Heavy metal in the water is usually present in low concentrations but human activity shall increase. Saguling Reservoir is one of the largest manmade lake in West Java Province which has experienced water contamination. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of sediments related to the pollution of four heavy metals ie Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb contained in Saguling Reservoir sediment using CF, MPI, Igeo and PERI methods in the rainy and dry seasons.Sediment samples are taken in twelve points around the reservoir by 2015-2017. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the sediment quality of Saguling Reservoir has been contaminated by heavy metals Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb. This is caused by human activity in the water catchment area of the reservoir. Based on the results of the analysis of sediment quality using Igeo and CF the sediment of Saguling Reservoir has been polluted by heavy metals, specifically Cd in the rainy and dry seasons. The result of assessment of sediment quality by MPI method can be concluded that the sediment of Saguling Reservoir as a whole has been contaminated by Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb. Based on calculations using PERI method, the sediment quality of Saguling Reservoir has contaminated Cd with serious ecological risk category during rainy and dry season, contaminated with Cr and Pb with low grade ecologogical risk category during rainy and dry season, has been contaminated with Cu with low grade ecological risk in the rainy season and moderate ecological risk in the dry season. Based on the results of this study that the Cd must be cautioned carefully, because of the highest concentration in the rainy and dry season than three other heavy metals.

Recent years have seen a dynamic growth of ecommerce. This links to technological developments, an increase in the number of people who have access to and actively use the Internet, and the use of mobile devices. The aim of the paper is to present the results of a questionnaire survey of the factors behind the development of e-commerce services. Besides, the paper defines the interdependence between the frequency of internet shopping and the logistic aspects of e-commerce. A hierarchy is also established of the degree of satisfaction as regards the quality criteria of e-commerce services. The analysis covers data from a questionnaire survey of 100 customers using ecommerce in Poland. The respondents were customers using e-commerce services aged between 20 and 24. The questionnaire was based on a five-point Likert-type scale of between 1 and 5. The survey was qualitative and nationwide. The analysis was done using the Statistica 10 software. The Pearson correlation was chosen from amongst the methods available to determine the impact between the surveyed variables. Firms that provide e-commerce services aim to fulfil the ever increasing needs and expectations of their customers. They attach a lot of importance to the quality of customer service which is demonstrated by the high scores awarded by the respondents.

Abstract Objective: The overall sagittal balance of patient with adult spinal deformity (ASD) is crucial for satisfactory postoperative outcome. SVA is the parameter often used to assess the sagittal balance. However, pelvis often rotates backward to compensate for sagittal imbalance in patients with ASD. In the case, SVA cannot reflect the real sagittal balance. Modified sagittal vertical axis (MSVA) is the parameter we found to better assess the real sagittal balance in patients with ASD. And we want to explore the relationship between MSVA and the quality of life. Methods: We used sample of 60 patients with ASD who underwent long-segment orthopedic surgery (≥4 vertebrae) between the period of 2015 and 2018. The paired-sample t test and Pearson correlation analysis were used for statistical analysis. P value <0.05 was considered significant. Results: SVA, TK, TLK, LL, SS, PT, PI-LL and MSVA were significantly changed in 60 patients preoperatively and postoperatively (p<0.05). The ODI, SRS22, VAS scores were significantly improved postoperatively (p<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis was used to conclude that postoperative SVA, postoperative MSVA and postoperative quality of life score were related. Postoperative MSVA has the strongest correlation with the quality-of-life score. Conclusions: Through spinal orthopedic surgery, the postoperative spinal parameters and quality of life of patients with ASD were significantly improved. MSVA is of great significance for evaluating postoperative sagittal balance and quality of life of patients with ASD.

Controlling the factors that influence the conservation of extruded dog foods can increase shelf life and/or guarantee the quality of shelf life of diets for these animals. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the relationship among water activity (Aw), moisture (M), acidity, lipid peroxidation, crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), and kibble size of extruded dog foods stored in sealed and open packages for 60 days (Experiment I). We also evaluated the stability of the Aw for up to 6.5 hours after coating with palatant (Experiment II). We manufactured four extruded dry dog foods: high CP and EE (HPE); low CP and EE (LPE); small kibble (SK); and large kibble (LK). In experiment I, the foods were stored in sealed 1 kg packages and 10 kg open packages, for a period of 60 days. We measured Aw, M, acidity, peroxide, CP, and EE of foods and the relative humidity (RH). Data were subjected to Pearson correlation analysis. For experiment II, samples were collected immediately after coating with palatant. Sub samples were collected every half hour to measure Aw. In experiment I, positive correlations were observed (P0.05) among kibble size, M, and Aw; acidity, CP, EE, and M; and between Aw and RH, for open and sealed packages. There was also a positive correlation (P0.05) for open packages among time, Aw, and peroxide. In experiment II, LK and LPE food presented Aw stabilized in less time. Diets with higher kibble size and high CP and EE levels are more unstable if kept in open packages. Extruded dry food with higher protein and lipid and smaller kibble size needs more time to stabilize its Aw.

Abstract The study aimed at determining the concentration of heavy metals in muscle, liver, and gill tissues of four fish species (Acanthobrama marmid, Capoeta umbla, Capoeta trutta and Chondrostoma regium) collected from five sites in the Karasu River, Erzincan, between July 2019 and January 2020. The relationships between fish size (length and weight) and metal concentrations in the tissues were also investigated using Pearson correlation analysis. Concentrations of Al, Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn were higher than those of other metals in all tissue samples from four fish species. Fe and Al concentrations were very high, while the lowest Co, Cd and Pb concentrations were determined in the muscle, liver and gill tissues. The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that significant relationships between heavy metal concentrations and fish size (length and weight) were positive (p < 0.01, p < 0.05), except for a few cases. Furthermore, heavy metal concentrations in the edible parts (muscle) of the studied fish species did not exceed the maximum acceptable concentrations (MACs) proposed by national and international food standards and were safe within human consumption limits, except for Cr.
