Aim: This research aims to examine the service quality perceived by fitness center consumers. Methods: This research, which has a descriptive nature, was carried out according to the survey model. The sample of study consists of 332 people who go to fitness centers in Trabzon. The "Personal Information Form" created by the researchers and the "Sports-Fitness Centers Service Quality Scale" developed by Uçan (2007) were used as data collection tools in the research. The dependent variable of the research is the perceived service quality, and the independent variables are gender, education level and income level. The findings obtained as a result of the data collection process were transferred to the computer environment, and descriptive statistics (frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation), t-test and single-factor analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA) test were used in the analysis and interpretation of the data. Results: As a result of the analyses made, it was determined that the service quality perceived by the fitness center consumers included in the research differed significantly according to gender, education level and income level. Conclusion: Fitness centers appear as businesses that provide services to people both in terms of physical appearance and health. The fact that fitness centers undertake these missions paves the way for the participants to form a sense of belonging to these centers. Therefore, facility managers working in these businesses should strive to meet the demands necessary to ensure the continuity of people, taking into account the intense competitive environment. Based on the findings, although the perceived service quality of the participants is above the average level, it is recommended that public and private businesses that provide sports services regularly apply surveys to their customers that measure the service quality level of the business and take managerial measures by determining their thoughts. Keywords: Fitness Center, Service Quality, Fitness Center Consumers

This study investigated the outgoing and pollen-gathering foraging activities of Apis mellifera jemenitica (AMJ) and Apis mellifera carnica (AMC) under a hot-arid environment in the presence of nectar-rich melliferous Ziziphus nummularia flora. The data revealed the differential effects of weather conditions and Z. nummularia flora on the foraging activities of the studied honey bee subspecies in the Rawdat-Khuraim oasis in central Saudi Arabia. Z. nummularia exhibited two flowering seasons, from June–July (season I) and August–October (season II), with a significantly higher mean flowering density observed during season II (404 flowers/m2) than during season I (235 flowers/m2). AMJ showed significantly higher foraging activities (outgoing and pollen-gathering) than AMC (exotic bees) during all months in each flowering season. The mean outgoing and pollen-gathering foraging rates of AMJ (32.40 ± 0.67 and 4.88 ± 0.40 workers/colony/min, respectively) were significantly higher than those of AMC (15.93 ± 1.20 and 2.39 ± 0.23 workers/colony/min, respectively). The outgoing and pollen-gathering foraging activities of the two subspecies fluctuated throughout the different times of day. Foraging activities were considerably high at sunrise (SR) and low at noon (N) during both flowering seasons. We also observed seasonal variations in the foraging activities of both bee subspecies. The mean foraging activities (outgoing and pollen-gathering) were slightly higher in season I (27.43 ± 1.21 and 4.46 ± 0.45 workers/colony/min, respectively) than in season II (21.71 ± 0.86 and 3.02 ± 0.22 workers/colony/min, respectively). The thermal window analysis revealed a significant difference between the flight activities (bees exiting and returning to the nest throughout the day) of AMJ and AMC; AMJ had a higher temperature threshold than AMC. The outgoing and pollen-gathering foraging activities within each bee subspecies were positively correlated. The present study can help researchers understand the performances of honeybees and the association of their performances with weather and nectar-rich flora conditions.

The aim of the study is to compare the satisfaction levels of the participants, participating in the sports festival according to some variables. The survey was conducted to 1,274 people randomly selected among approximately 55,000 participants who participated in the sports festival organized by a municipality in Denizli-Turkey. As a data collection tools “Personal Information Form” prepared by the researchers and the “Festival Satisfaction Survey” which was developed by Yoon et al. (2010) and adopted into Turkish by Tayfun and Arslan (2013). The data collection forms applied to the participants during the festival and the data were checked in terms of normal distributions in the statistical analysis program and analyzed by using independent samples T test and ANOVA analysis methods. As a result of the analysis, male participants perceived a significant level of satisfaction in the sub-dimensions of program, value, satisfaction and loyalty from the questionnaire. A significant difference was found in the sub-dimensions of knowledge, value, satisfaction, and loyalty in the examination conducted by occupational groups. It is seen that this difference is caused by the public employees’ higher satisfaction level. Another hypothesis of the study was to compare the satisfaction of participants according to their educational status. Significant differences were found in the sub-dimensions of knowledge, value, satisfaction, loyalty. It is seen that reason for the statistically meaningful difference, primary school graduates feel lower satisfaction from the festival in terms of education level. As a result, it is thought that participants of the sport festivals feel different satisfaction in terms of their gender, education status and working situation and while planning that kind of events these characteristics must be taken into consideration.
