<p>This study aims to: (1) apply lesson study in the development of learning materials based on local potential to improve the professional competence of primary school teachers in Kebumen in 2016; (2) produce learning materials based on local potential through lesson study as an effort to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Kebumen in 2016. This study overall approach development (Research and Development / R &amp; D). These research subjects were elementary school teachers in Kebumen numbered 50 people. Selection of study subjects according to the school characteristics, was by observing the accreditation status of the school and teacher status. The collection of data  were through (1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD). (2) observation, (3) test, (4) study the documentation, (5) interview, (6) checklish behavior, and (7) video. It can be concluded: (1) Lesson study based on learning materials development of local potential improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Kebumen 2015. (2) Lesson study can produce learning materials based on local potential quality. Improving the quality of the results of the implementation of lesson study the development of learning materials based on local potential to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Kebumen 2015 reached 90%.</p><strong>Keywords</strong>: professional competence, lesson study, the local potential.

This research is motivated by a conventional learning orientation where teacher-centered learning must be transformed into student-centered learning. The purpose of this study was to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers through lesson study. This study uses a class action research design that has stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted at the target schools in the city of Dumai. The research subjects were 10 V-grade teachers taken from each of the target schools. The research instrument used observation sheets and interview sheets. The results of this study indicate an increase in the professional competence of elementary school teachers through lesson study with the percentage of the first cycle of 64% with enough categories to 82% with good categories. The suggestion put forward is for the next researcher to combine lesson study with academic supervision or based on local potential, also improve pedagogical, personality, and social competence.

The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding and implementation of the knowledge assessment carried out by teachers at the elementary school level starting from planning, implementing, processing results, utilizing results and identifying problems in implementing knowledge assessment. This study used a qualitative approach. Research took place in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Province. The research subjects were public and private elementary school teachers who had taught in classes applying Curriculum 2013. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires and FGD (focus group discussion) guidelines. The results showed that on the assessment planning, teachers lack understanding in the formulation of instrument outlines, especially in describing the Basic Competency into the question indicators, making questions about the aspects of knowledge based on the indicator, and making scoring guidelines. In the implementation of the assessment, some teachers did not understand the use of various assessment techniques for knowledge aspect. The frequency of carrying out daily knowledge assessments varies, including for every KD (basic competency), every day, for every sub-theme, for several sub-themes, and for every theme. In assessment result processing, some elementary school teachers still lack understanding about processing and reporting in knowledge assessment whether in the form of numeric scores, predicates, and descriptions. In the utilization of the assessment, all elementary school teachers in Sleman Regency have applied the assessment of learning function as each daily assessment result is used by the teacher to review student achievement in each KD. In the aspect of assessment for learning, some teachers have made use of assessments for remedial activities and lesson enrichment and to evaluate the learning process. Lastly, regarding the use of assessment as learning, some teachers have provided results of student assessment and used it to provide guidance and advice to students.

<p>This study aims to determine the chemical literacy of primary school teachers and students on the theme PGSD air. The method used is descriptive method, the research subjects totaling 61 people, 41 people came from PGSD students and 20 people from elementary school teachers. The instrument used is a matter of chemistry literacy tests are 40 multiple -choice questions that include reason or other information to strengthen the answers given, questionnaires, and interviews. Data processing techniques performed included determination of the limits of chemical literacy achievement, scoring each question,<br />changing the score values, grouping study subjects based on the values obtained, and the analysis and conclusions. From the research data showed that only 26 people (63.41 %) students who have achieved literacy PGSD chemistry, whereas only 10 elementary school teachers (50 %) who had reached chemical literacy. Literacy chemical that has not reached most of the research subject primarily determine the chemical formula of constituent gases of air and to write the equation.</p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui literasi kimia guru SD dan mahasiswa PGSD pada tema udara. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan subyek penelitian berjumlah 61 orang, 41 orang berasal dari mahasiswa PGSD serta 20 orang dari guru SD. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes literasi kimia berjumlah 40 soal berbentuk pilihan berganda yang dilengkapi alasan atau keterangan lainnya untuk memperkuat jawaban yang diberikan, angket, serta wawancara. Teknik pengolahan data yang dilakukan meliputi penentuan batas ketercapaian literasi kimia, pemberian skor<br />setiap soal, pengubahan skor menjadi nilai, pengelompokkan subyek penelitian  berdasarkan nilai yang diperoleh, serta analisis dan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh data bahwa hanya 26 orang (63,41%) mahasiswa PGSD yang telah mencapai literasi kimia, sedangkan guru SD hanya 10 orang (50%) yang sudah mencapai literasi kimia. Literasi kimia yang belum tercapai kebanyakan subyek penelitian terutama menentukan rumus kimia gas penyusun udara serta menuliskan persamaan reaksi.</p>

In Islamic elementary school, Arabic is a compulsory subject that must be taught. In fact, the majority of elementary school teachers are not equipped with enough competence to teach it. This paper aims to describe efforts to improve the competence of elementary school teachers in teaching Arabic. The research method is descriptive qualitative through teacher competency mapping, needs analysis and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The result of the research shows that Teacher Proficiency Development (TPD) in the form of workshop and teaching practice can be one of alternative in improving the pedagogic and professional competence of elementary school teacher in teaches Arabic. In order for effective TPD program, massive dissemination, advisory and sustainable programming is required involving relevant universities, government, and schools.

Government certainty related to curriculum development from KTSP to Curriculum 2013 raises a new challenge for teachers. Implementation Curriculum 2013 in elementary schools still faced significant problems where based on the focus group discussion results with elementary school teachers in the Kuningan area of West Java, it was known that teachers still had difficulty implementing thematic-integrative with connecting the material with other material. Purpose of this study is 1) describes the problems faced by elementary school teachers for the standard of graduate competence in the implementation of the  Curriculum 2013 in elementary schools, 2) describes the factors that cause problems standard of graduate competence in the implementation of  Curriculum 2013in elementary schools. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The research design used descriptive steps of a case study. The research subjects were teachers and students in elementary school at SDN 1 Manis Lor, Jalaksana District, SDN 1 Purwawinangun, Kuningan District and SDN Dukuhdalem, Japara District, Kuningan Regency. Data collection techniques are used using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis used refers to the analysis of qualitative research data.

<em>The purpose of this service is to train primary school teachers in Surakarta city to have the ability to optimize the role of a teacher to involve parents and the community in the implementation of learning so that specifically this activity aims to train teachers to have the ability to compile contact books and worksheets. The method used in this service begins the Workshop, Practices, and Implementation. In conducting this training, subjects were asked to work on tests related to the preparation of connection books and worksheets for elementary school teachers. Analysis of the data used is pre-test and post-test. The results of this activity were an increase in teacher's knowledge and understanding of the preparation of connection books and worksheets</em>

The purpose of this study was to see the traditional cublak-cublak suweng game from D.I Yogyakarta, and the order for the character of responsibility for students. Knowing the method of implementing the cublak-cublek suweng game that can shape the character of responsibility for students. This research method is research research. The research subjects were research articles and web that discussed the cublak-cublak suweng game that could be accounted for for its authenticity and correctness. The scope of this research includes elementary school teachers, elementary school children, and the surrounding community who are familiar with this game, as well as the role of the government in preserving the cublak-cublak suweng game and applying it to elementary schools at this time.This research was conducted to explain whether the cublak-cublak suweng game in the present era can give pleasure after being played and the impact that occurs after being played 1) Introduction to what cublak-cublak suweng is and how to play it. 2) Implementation of the cublak-cublek suweng model that can develop the character of responsibility for students, 3) The effectiveness of the cublak-cublak suweng game in shaping the character of responsibility for students. 4) what are the effects if you continue to drink it again and again.

The present study was conducted to analyze the assessment models employed by Indonesian elementary school teachers in the context of assessment models as suggested by the curriculum in 2013. The analysis includes the selected assessment models and their implementation in real classroom settings to assess the students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills. This study made use of a qualitative research design in which the data were analyzed by means of deep argumentation and presented descriptively. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the selected elementary school teachers. The collected data were analyzed in an analytical manner to obtain the findings.   The findings of the present study indicated that primary school teachers employed various models of assessment based on the aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Assessment of the students’ attitude includes observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, and teachers’ records. Assessment of the students’ knowledge includes a written test, an oral test, and assignment.  Assessment of the students’ skill includes performance, portfolio, and project. Meanwhile,  the scores of the students’ achievement were analyzed based on the scores of the students’ attitude obtained by using the instruments, such as observation blank sheet, Self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher’ records. Self-assessment and peer assessment were also used as a confirmation of the scores for the report card and the teachers’ records were mainly used to provide the suggestions for the students’ improvement.

The purpose of this article is to find out the perceptions of primary school teachers on the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media. Teachers' perceptions of the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media are closely related to student learning achievement. Learning media generated with Swishmax applications that match the students' wishes will keep them motivated in learning. This article analyzes the data done descriptively. The data obtained in this article comes from questionnaire data and unstructured interview data. The result of this article is the perception of Swishmax's use for the development of instructional media by elementary school teachers in positive category.
