The speed and the quality of mastering the Russian language by foreign students studying at medical universities in Russia largely depend on whether these students have the opportunity to take a preliminary year-long Russian language course at the preparatory division. If the students receive education in the English language, the Russian language program is reduced to an optional course, not sufficient to ensure understanding of Russian culture and rules of non-verbal communication in a Russian-speaking environment. However, every foreign student must undergo practical training in Russian medical institutions. In this case the Russian language teacher faces an almost insurmountable task of equipping students with the skills of communicating with Russian patients and colleagues and with sufficient cultural and psychological awareness for adequate verbal and non-verbal behavior in a hospital environment. The successful implementation of these tasks can be facilitated by developing and using a special vocabulary-phrase book at the lessons of the Russian language. This manual will allow students to get acquainted with the rules of behavior in the hospital in advance, master the lexical minimum necessary for practice and introduce a number of phrases that are relevant in everyday communication of medical staff with patients. The article reveals and explains the structure of the manual, identifies its objectives and target audience.

The current article represents some research in the drawbacks and violations of placing the correct word stress by foreign students, coming from other Slav countries, while reading in a loud voice. What is being analyzed is the pedagogical observation as well as the statistical public inquiry that took place between 2017 and 2021 among 54 M.Sc. students from the Department of Medicine at The Medical University – Pleven. All relevant data, based on the research work, differentiate into subcategories the fluctuations in the application of the accent norm. The results from the priority arrangement as regards the five factors, having an impact on the correct oral output, have been summarized according to their difficulty rate from 1st to 5th grade. In the teaching programme, the necessity for distinct accent rules and regulations has been duly reasoned. It is very important, within each and every module, for one to offer additional lexico-grammatical exercises and phonological assignments which could facilitate teaching the Bulgarian word stress and automate its precise use in the verbal communication for medical purposes.

The article is devoted to the analysis of interethnic barriers of communication in the student sphere. It was studied how emotions prevent students from interacting with each other. The essence and classification of barriers are considered. The barrier is lived by a person as an insurmountable obstacle. As a result, he is not able to create and maintain communication links, during attempts he experiences strong negative experiences. This leads to low self-esteem, lack of ambition, dissatisfaction with yourself and your life, anxiety, guilt and the emergence of an inferiority complex. In psychology, the problem of communication barriers is given enough attention. Experts believe that the emergence of difficulties in communication contributes to individual experience. It affects the perception of information coming from the interlocutor, and does not allow you to look at the situation objectively. For most people, this process occurs unconsciously, so communication often becomes unproductive. Psychological causes are the result of personal aspects. These include differences in types of temperament, antipathy, secrecy, tightness, distrust.

All subjects, in accordance with the index of the OHI-S index, were divided into three groups depending on the index of cavity hygiene: the first group, the OHI-S index was less than 0.7 points (good level of oral hygiene) – group 1A-in it included 125 Russian students (50%), group 1B-95 of foreign students (38%); The 2nd group, the OHI-S indicator is from 0.8 to 1.6 points (a satisfactory level of oral hygiene) – group 2A – it includes 80 Russian students (32%), group 2B – it includes 65 foreign students (26%); Group 3: the OHI-S indicator is more than 1.7 points (unsatisfactory index of oral hygiene) – group 3A – it included 45 Russian students (18%), group 3B – it included 90 foreign students (36%). The prevalence and intensity of the carious process was evaluated using the DMF index, the oral hygiene was assessed using the OHI-S index according to J. Green, J. Vermillion, the periodontal tissue condition was assessed using the CPI index (complex periodontal index), and Kechka bleeding index. The following tests were used to assess the psychoemotional status: Spilberger-Hanin anxiety test, HAM test, suggestibility and stress tolerance test. To assess the results and conduct comparative characteristics, we used the analysis of variance, the Biostat program, and also the Microsoft Excel software product using the Student criterion.Results. The prevalence of dental caries is 98%. The average rate of tooth decay in Russian students was 5.8 ± 0.23, and in foreign students 7.6 ± 0.3. A study of the CPI index revealed with a satisfactory level of hygiene: mild periodontal tissue lesions in 28% of Russian students, 4% have a medium periodontal lesion, 18% of foreign students have a mild periodontal tissue lesion, 6% have an average periodontal lesion; with an unsatisfactory level of hygiene, 16% of Russian students have an average degree of periodontal damage and 2% have a severe periodontal disease, 32% of foreign students have an average periodontal disease and 4% have a severe periodontal disease. Analysis of the HAM test showed a decrease in the number of foreign students by the 5th year of study with a high level of well-being, for Russian students by the 5th year of study, the average level of well-being, activity and mood was characteristic. A low level was characteristic of 2nd year students of the Russian and foreign departments.Conclusions. A study of the psychoemotional state of students at a medical university revealed a high level of activity, well-being and mood among students of the Russian department and average rates among students of a foreign department, which is explained by low oral hygiene and high caries intensity, a change in climatic conditions and place of residence, a change in diet, emotional and physical overload.
